Love Los Taquitos and I especially love this location! I've had several items off the menu (tacos, breakfast burrito, torta, enchilada, tostada, ceviche, chips and guac, beans and rice) and there really isn't anything I don't like. The Asada is tender, there's a little sweetness to the Carnitas, the Pastor is a little different (still good!) and their chicken is extra delicious when doused in lime and salsa! Speaking of salsa, Los Taquitos offers a red and green for free and for .35 extra you can have their habanero salsa or side of pico de gallo. Customer service is GREAT! All the girls are friendly and nice. There's plenty of parking and even when it gets busy the lines move quickly. I do have one small complaint - I've ordered tostadas to go. I always make sure to ask for no shell or shell on the side so that the shell stays intact. I don't know why, but the shell is always at the bottom and ends up soggy from the bean juice! Why would anyone put a crispy shell on the bottom of a tostada on a to go order?! This has happened to me several times. I always triple check with the cashier and they assure me the kitchen is aware, but somehow this same mistake is always made. This is my little sister and I's new taco spot! The tacos here remind us of our childhood street tacos we'd eat in L.A., especially the lengua. It's hard to find good tacos de lengua made right here in AZ. Also I'm pretty sure the beans they use are peruano with white cheese (not yellow) and that makes us happy cause it reminds us of our mom's cooking. Yes, the music is loud. So what? Her and I were also happy about that because it reminds us of home, you walk into any Mexican house hold and we'll be blasting it loud anyways. And if you complain we'll only play it louder. Yeah, our cousin did probably set it up Monica, but it's better than any sound system you'll have at your wedding. Its Sonos speakers for crying out loud. I'm here visiting from CA and looking for some good mexican food. My daughter recommended this place and the carne asada is cooked very well but I had to dump out the horchata after two drinks. I've ordered from this place before & decided to give it another shot. I'm over this experience & done with this place following this latest incident, but in short, it is now clear to me that the owner/manager is a complete waste of oxygen & cares NOTHING about the customers (aka-THE ones who ensure that this place remains up & running). On 6/19/22 I decided that I wanted to order delivery from this Los Taquitos location (despite the fact that there are MANY options in this area). Last time I ordered both of the meals (Shrimp Street Tacos & Fish Street Tacos), rice AND beans were included as sides (at no additional charge). Despite this, I noticed on Doordash that only ONE of the two meals (the Fish Street Tacos) seems to have the rice & beans pictured, & neither meal had it mentioned within the description (see attached images). Due to the confusion & misleading pictures/description on Doordash, I called this Los Taquitos location & spoke with "Amber" PRIOR TO ordering as a means of confirming that the rice & beans would be included as sides. Amber ASSURED me that they were included in each meal, she advised that I could simply mention it in the instructions & she would ensure that they are not forgotten. AGAIN; Both sides were included at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE last time I ordered each of these meals. So my order arrived, I happened to check my email later that evening & noticed that I was charged EXTRA for the rice/beans on BOTH meals ($5.43/ea, bringing the total additional charge to $10.86). Noticing this, I immediately wanted to reach someone at the restaurant but they were closed at that hour, so I attempted to send a message on the website; This was a no-go as every time you attempt to select "submit" at the bottom of the contact form, it does not send the message (it just sits there doing nothing). How someone in a "management"/"ownership" position can be this lazy to where they can't even keep their website in working order is beyond me, but it's definitely a red flag/warning sign that the food may not be great (as this same level of laziness is bound to transfer to the food preparation process at some point as well). Following the issues with the useless Los Taquitos website, I reached out to DoorDash in order to explain the situation & request a refund of the additional amount that I was charged (for items that SHOULD HAVE been free [per what I was told]), & they insisted that they could do nothing as the restaurant was responsible for the extra fees that were charged after the order was submitted. I went back & forth with DoorDash (over the phone & via email) & got nowhere. After all this, I was forced to wait until the next day to speak with the manager/owner at the restaurant (preferably over the phone, as handling this in-person might have turned physical considering how frustrated I was). I called in & a young lady by the name of "Hope" answered the line. I asked to speak with the manager ("Adrianna", according to Hope), & she advised that she was not available to speak with me. I then asked for the name of the owner, & she claimed that Adrianna is also the owner. At this point, I realized that I would be stuck explaining the situation to Hope rather than speaking with "Adrianna" (who clearly had NO interest in taking my call [after EAGERLY taking my money & then greedily charging me even more afterward]). I reluctantly explained my situation to "Hope", advising her that I would like the additional amount refunded back to my card as I was given incorrect information as far as the sides being included. Instead of practicing the "customer is always right" approach (which ANYONE in customer service OR food service should know like the back of their hand), "Hope" pushed back, insisting that there was nothing they could do if it was a DoorDash order (despite the fact that SEVERAL reps at DoorDash advised that this was absolutely the restaurant's responsibility). "Hope" then advised that she would have the manager/owner call me back, & (not to my surprise) I never received a call. I then sent a message to the location via the BBB, & once again, the manager NEVER responded. In the end, I was left with no choice but to contact my credit card company & have them handle it, since everyone at Los Taquitos insisted on being so incompetent/childish about something that would have taken SECONDS to resolve. For those who may be wondering about the quality of the food; It was TERRIBLE, & I honestly wanted to ensure that the rice/beans were included as they were the best part of each meal the first time I ordered each of them. This time around, BOTH tacos were dry/flavorless, as if they had been sitting out for HOURS. Unless you like being ignored by the manager, taken advantage of & overcharged for dry/flavorless food with measly portion sizes, I'd say AVOID THIS PLACE like Covid; There are MUCH better options in this area (with MUCH better food AND competent employees). read more

Food was average and so was the service. The beans were a step above. I'm a touch critic when it comes to Mexican food though. I like my Mexican food with flavorful meats, cheesy and greasy so when I saw the Los Taquitos' Instagram post of rolled tacos covered in guacamole and melted queso cheese on their page (which has since been removed after this incident) I was beyond ecstatic and made my way down the Arcadia location. I walked in and ordered exactly what I wanted by showing the cashier the picture from their Instagram page and she said "no problem" however, to my dismay I became a victim of false advertising. When I asked why my food didn't look like the picture from their page as I ordered I was told "the person who runs our Instagram doesn't know what he's doing, we don't know why that was posted because we can't make it like that, none of our locations make or carry that type of queso cheese." That doesn't address why I wasn't advised of this when I ordered with the picture in the first place but I've chalked it up to the fact that this experience was my first and last. I love this new location and it's close to work! Very nice and open floor plan as you walk in and an area specific for line queing which the 16th St location was definitely lacking. This place has fantastic tacos and is worth a stop by any day of the week but Tuesdays are even better here. 1.30 a taco and they are worth every penny. I get stuff happens, but should have been compensated since I couldn't eat any more. I ordered from Los Taquitos on Postmates. We have been customers there for 10 years. This was our first time using the delivery service, so I called the restaurant in advance to ask how to make sure salsa and limes were included with our order because their salsa is what makes the meal. They said to put it in the notes, and they would make sure it was included. I added the salsa amount to each item on the order as directed. The food was delivered with NO salsa or limes at all -- zero. I called the restaurant to complain and they said they were busy and forgot. They refused a refund saying salsa was free so therefore if it doesn't arrive, that's just too bad. I am shocked by the poor customer service. When I went into the restaurant in July, the cook was coughing and was wearing no mask, so I paid for my food and left, then took my food straight to the dumpster because I didn't want to take a chance that he had COVID. I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt -- maybe they didn't realize he was sick and coughing into the food. I called to let the manager know. I never got a call back. Still, I gave them a second chance. After this episode, I'm done. This restaurant has really gone downhill and we will not be returning. There are tons of places for great street tacos in Phoenix. No need to go to a restaurant with such bad customer service! read more

What a bummer. This was our favorite taco place since they opened in Arcadia. It had always been consistently good with friendly service, but the last couple of times we've gone the food has been just awful. We gave it a pass the first time it happened thinking g it may be an off night, but tonight the carnitas were literally inedible. I called to tell them how bad the food was and asked if they had a new chef. The woman who answered the phone told me they did have a new chef. She did not even apologize for our inedible food. They could put the seasoning on the fish and lengua lol carnitas was good ! My favorite was the menudo. I am very picky with menudo and i gotta say it was A1! The salsas are delicious too! Wow I have been waiting for this place to open and they finally did. I stopped by tonight and picked up 3 different street tacos-fish, chicken and carne asada (not to sure how it's spelled) combo plate w/rice and beans and tacos wh are off the charts. I am so looking forward to going back again real soon. Ok so one of the counter girls told me that their popular breakfast is Huevos Rancheros. So this past Saturday I stopped in and tried it out. Incredible! A must try spot for great Mexican food. So many things going right for this place. Great atmosphere and clean but the superstar was the food. From the authentic tasting tortillas to the perfect consistency in the refried beans, Los Taquitos comida is on point. I especially liked the meat. Well seasoned, no weird bits, shredded, crispy...amazing! Each bite was exactly what I wanted. The perfect marriage of meat, beans, cheese, and a hint of onion.
