We have tried so many Mexican restaurants because I just love Mexican food. However, Los Tios takes the cake for me! We are from the area and it is so nice to have a close Mexican restaurant that is also Delicious!! We love the service and the people! To the owner of this restaurant, train your older female employee working the evening of 5/3/24. how to treat customers. Extremely rude. If something is wrong with the food & drinks, and the customer asks to fix it somehow , please teach her how to work with customers. She didn't want to listen to the customer at all. Extremely rude. We have visited here before a couple times and this is probably the worst we experience we have had. The food was still the same but the service has really gone down hill. The bathrooms need some plumbing help as leaking toilet water was found when I flushed. Not sure we will be back. read more

Let me preface this review by stating that I've eaten at Los Tios a few times before and loved this restaurant. Sadly, based on my experience last night, I can no longer say that. I would give ZERO stars if I could. I stopped by Monday, 5/16/22, after the Dalton High School band concert to have a late dinner with 3 other family members. The posted business hours are until 9:00 pm and the OPEN sign was on when we pulled into the parking lot. We walked in at 8:20 pm and asked for a table for 4. The lady at the register told us, "Um...sorry the grill is being closed down, it's half cleaned and I can't seat you". My brother-in-law pointed out a table that was STILL looking at their menus, and hadn't placed their orders yet, but this employee didn't care. She said they weren't seating anyone else. We again pointed out that it wasn't 9:00 pm, and tried to explain to her that their hours say open until 9:00 pm, so you seat people, even if they walk in at 8:59 pm. Again, we were there at 8:20 pm. After we walked out of the restaurant, we tried to warn an elderly couple that they won't seat you, but they went in anyhow. They walked back out shortly thereafter. They didn't get seated either. What kind of a business TURNS AWAY customers who are there well before they close? To the OWNER of Los Tios, if your employees don't care about the customer and don't want to work the hours required they should be FIRED, family or not. They are hurting your reputation. Period! The employees present on 5/16/22 were obviously in a hurry to leave that night, and simply DON'T care about YOU, your business, your customers, or your reputation. read more

We stopped in here on our way through this little town. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon. The food was good - very typical off all "authentic" Mexican restaurants. Good chips and salsa, solid cheese dip, delish margaritas. All of the people at my table enjoyed their meal. Since there aren't a whole lot of other places in the area to sit and grab some food, I'm glad this place is good. read more

Im not sure how this place is so busy, we ordered a $4 cheese dip and we're told we have to pay for the chips to go with it. Also the cheese dip is basically pure milk. It's really not about the $1.25 for the extra chips.. it's more about the fact that we ordered a SECOND dip and we're told we have to pay. I feel like that's pretty annoying considering the small basket of chips we did get we're basically crumbs. read more

Losing some stars for claiming authentic yet serving french fries with the camarones. I did not set a high bar given the location, and yet they managed to come in a little under it. I got charged extra for subbing out the fries for beans (que?) The camarones tasted like reheated cocktail shrimp and the diabla sauce was quite clearly ketchup and hot sauce. I'm not to picky and I was super hungry so it gets 2 stars. They haven't quite earned their authentic label. Try harder guys. read more

Initially the food was good at this place, but they are beginning to scrimp on portions, and overcharge on little things. For example I ordered guacamole, which amounted to 1/2 a cup for a staggering $6.50, or a fountain drink for $2.99. It would be better to order a beer since they are the same price. 2 adults, and a child ordered lunch specials for dinner with tip was $35. If I want a premium dinner I would go to longhorn & get a steak for the same price. If you haven't been here in a while, it will be an eye opener. They have changed for the worse... read more

Stopped with my nephew for dinner and the food was ok. He has a chicken taco and the chicken was barely warm. I had a super burrito and was charged for adding chorizo to my burrito with usually doesn't happen. I was not a big fan of the burrito sauce and the rice was overcooked. Beef and bean nachos were acceptable but I have had better. Service was fast and polite. read more

As far as authentic this is the closest your going to get in the area! I use to live in the area and growing up with a heavy hispanic heritage was always disappointed with the "authentic food" in the area. This restaurant really captures the food, the culture, and the friendly atmosphere. We went with a group and our server Enrique was very attentive to us the whole time. I ordered the Mixed Fajitas that were amazingly seasoned and came in a huge portion. The owner even came by to see how we were doing and was incredibly friendly. This place use to be amazing. The last 2 times we have ordered take out was absolutely horrible! Not putting the topping that says it comes with on the menu. Salsa tastes like tomato soup, no spice whatsoever! The beans would extremely watery. Barely any meat in the meals. So I called to say something and the guy laughed at me and said if you don't like it then don't order it. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service!!! The service at the restaurant is terrible . The management has no customer service skills at all! They charged me $15 for a 12oz margarita !!! When I complained about the price they laughed and said you wanted a extra shot in it, and that's the price. I called the manager the next day, she told me I would have to come to the restaurant to speak to her . SERIOUSLY !!! I told her I have ordered the same drink at several different restaurants and it was $6.50. How can you even consider charging someone $15 for one drink!!!!
