Visit this location frequently. Food is always fresh and brought out within minutes. I think the longest I've ever waited is 5 minutes for food. Lots and lots of choices and so many combos. Also the margaritas are very good as well and they have happy hours during the weeks and certain margarita days. read more

I know people are crazy about El Campesino (same owners), but if it really is "just like" El Campero then I have no idea why. Maybe I'm biased because there are so many better Mexican options in the greater Cleveland area, and this is really as good as it gets around Canton. We had lunch here on Saturday, and it was definitely the worst Mexican food I've ever had. I didn't think Mexican food could even be bad. My burrito was covered in some kind of sauce that tasted just like the gravy you get with mashed potatoes at KFC. The mild salsa tasted like soap. Those were probably the worst two details, but the meal overall was just not good. The food was sloppily presented and looked unappetizing. The waiter was confused by our orders, and didn't give us a clear answer to our questions (I didn't know until my meal arrived whether I would be getting a bean burrito or a beef burrito). And the restaurant had a bad smell. I definitely would rather have eaten at Taco Bell. read more

OK, parking is great; the service could not have been better - courteous and attentive. I liked the casual atmosphere, mariachi music, rural Mexico paintings. Now, 2 stars because the food was mediocre at best and the cost was unreasonable. We got the chile colorado and the meat was tough, chewy. Burritos, etc were just run of the mill: beans, rice, bland meat, low on seasoning, salsa dense w/cilantro. Generous servings, but I'd be happier w/more nuance, less volume. Finally $30 for two, for pretty unremarkable lunch, seems pricey. read more

We eat at El Campero often. The staff is courteous and quick! They are always accommodating to our group size as well. The El Campero Fajitas are my favorite. The portions are very large. And you can never go wrong with the lime margaritas. Overall, when you leave El Campero you will be full and would have had a great time! read more

My husband & I stopped in for lunch today. The food & service was adequate. When we got our bill, we were way overcharged! Our bill should have totaled $15.50 but their calculator showed $22.00. Great new addition to Canton South! The prices are a lot cheaper than most restaurants and they accept competitors coupons. The atmosphere is very casual and quiet and very clean! My husband and I had the El Campero fajitas and when they arrived we thought we got the dinner for two. The servings are large, the staff very friendly and attentive, and overall it was a great experience. We've gone to el galeron, talaquepaque, el campesino, mariachis and lots of others over the years but this place is the best small Mexican restaurant and we will definitely be back! read more

Beings I used to live in El Campo Texas with Mexican neighbors on three sides etc I like to think I have a pretty decent handle on Mexican food. This first visit was better than I expected in Ohio. Place seemed clean(didn't visit the restrooms tho) and waitstaff neat and matching. Didn't notice any gringos working here and everyone I talked to had an accent(bonus points). Menu prices are probably a bit lower than Jaliscos in Salem/Alliance or Tlaquepaque in Canton. Comparable to the one (name anybody?) in Columbiana. Ordered the lunch chimichanga, chicken, and arrived quickly; hot fresh and very nice appearance. Oh and chips and salsa were as good as any imo. Chicken may have been a bit bland if eating by itself but the overall chimi was awesome. Rice was decent, beens had plenty of that to-die-for-melted-Mexican-cheese. If the place was a little larger I'd bring Folks and inlaws. This place nailed it for me. read more

Seen this place while getting my license plates, so the wife and I went on in and ate. Great food, service and the folks that work there were excellent very friendly with a great meal and a great affordable price. A few months have gone past and since then we have taken our whole entire family there 5 more time's none of us can get enough of it. Beats driving to Massillon and New Philly but if the both of the others were this good wouldn't mind the drive. I'm sticking with El Campero folk's. read more
