He had the Chicken Quesadilla with lettuce guacamole I didn't catch the type but regardless the thing is, it was stuffed lots of chicken and other ingredients unlike many places where you'll get a little meat and cheese and that is it! I got the Carne Sanmarco (new item) it's tender steak with whole chipotle peppers, tomato's, onion grilled zucchini served w rice, beans and sour cream salad so very very good. 3 Tortillas on the side which was a great way to gobble up a good amount of a big dish ! read more

Come hungry! Portions are huge! We were able to be seated right away even though on a Sunday afternoon, the place was crowded. Chips, salsa, utensils and menus were brought right away to our table. Shortly afterward, our server took our drink and guacamole order. Very nice, helpful and attentive staff! The guacamole was good; very fresh and tasty! For my meal, I ordered the Azteca Sampler. Delicious! Loved it and had enough for two meals. Enjoyed having both chicken and beef in it. My spouse really liked the burro he ordered. It was also big enough for two meals. I was at CDR on Sunday 4/27/2025. I think I was one of the last customers to arrive. They did not rush me at all. But the main event was the food. I got the combination with two Chili Relleno. They were fantastic. The batter was very good and egg rich which was amazing considering the price of eggs. Compared to most places the Chili Rellenos were fantastic. (Almost to the degree of Villa Y Zapota [my gold standard] or the now-closed Luchita W 117.). I would rate them "A" for sure!!! If you love Chili Relleno, this is the place to come! read more

This location is very busy! The servers are very attentive to our needs! Food is good too. The reason for this low star rating is .... There is hardly any room to move at this restaurant. You are in your neighbors lap and god forbid they know someone walking by, they will stand there with their purses or kids in your dinner plate. I love this place so much I had my birthday dinner here. The food is classic Mexican, done well. It's authentic. The "boss" is Mexican as are many of the servers. They are great at making accommodations like pushing tables together, changing up menu items, etc. I don't drink, but my friends said the margaritas were great. I can see, after having dinner here, why this place is so busy and so well-rated. It's definitely one of your best meal options in the area. I'm not sure how well it compares to other Mexican restaurants in the area, but then again, I don't feel the need to check. First, there's those drinks, particularly those margaritas, that come in sturdy, Holy Grail sized goblets. When we raised them to toast, some folks at the table needed to hold them with both hands. You get about twice as much margarita here as you might for the same price at similar restaurants out my way. Follow that with warm, delicious chips and good salsa. Then there's your food, brought out quite fast, and lots of it. This was the first time in a long time that for an order of fajitas, I actually got enough tortillas to use everything on the plate without having to ask for more. Larger groups might have a problem being seated together during busier hours, so consider being willing to break into smaller groups... fewer hands grabbing your drinks that way too. read more

This review can be short and sweet: Casa del Rio checks all the boxes for what I expect from your town Mexican joint. They're highly rated, and I suppose that's mostly for the service and atmosphere. For me, you can't really go wrong with whatever you bring out to me at a Mexican restaurant. What is this? Did I order enchiladas, tacos, a burrito, tamales? I donno, but dang this looks good. Naturally, every table is served with complimentary chips and salsa. Of course, I always recommend a bowl of guac to go along with it. Most meals come out with rice, beans, and a little salad. I remember enjoying Casa Del Rio when we lived in Wadsworth. I picked up carry out on my way through Wadsworth and ordered chicken fajitas. The chicken was SO DRY, salty, and unpleasant. The entire thing went straight in the trash. The side plate was watery lettuce, a tablespoon of guacamole and a small squirt of sour cream. I'll be sure to drive by next time. Fantastic, quick, affordable! Casa Del Rio is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area and a place I recommend to everyone who is looking for great Mexican food. Being located directly off the highway is convenient for almost anyone. The parking lot is always full but don't let that make you hesitant because there is plenty of seating available. I didn't have to wait long despite how busy the parking lot was. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. As I was seated the chips and salsa were placed on the table and waters quickly followed. I ordered the super burrito and asked if I could swap the protein options with chorizo. The chorizo is one of the best I've had out of any other Mexican restaurants I've been to. As we continue our quest to go to the entire list of the top 20 Mexican restaurants in Cleveland proper today we are going to #2 today. They sure know how to pick them. This was awesome. We passed it up the first time as it is a bit tucked behind the Marathon. We also found out that they are opening a second location in Fairlawn. A bit closer for us but we'd certainly make the trip back to Wadsworth. I had a skirt steak dish with ham and bacon and poblano peppers. What a perfect kick in spices. I put it in a corn tortilla. Very conveniently located right off the exit from 76. Really solid overall. It was packed on a rainy Sunday lunch yet we got seated quickly, and waited on very promptly. Our waiter was engaging and attentive. We did not have to flag him down for refills and he checked in most every time he walked by! Our drinks came quickly with the complimentary chips and salsa. My wife loved the chips - warm and very little salt (I had to add salt), and liked the salsa - mild and flavorful ( I added some hot sauce). Her chipotle quesadilla was very tasty - loved the bacon in it - but it could have used a bit more cheese. Margarita was large & good. The fajita de la casa was also good. Casa Del Rio is a small Mexican restaurant just off of I-76 in Wadsworth. They offer a clean, quality, and authentic Latino environment at a pretty reasonable cost. We arrived late in a Thursday evening and to our surprise, the place was packed! However, though there was a line peeking out the door when we arrived, we were met with but only a 5 minute wait to get a table. Thereafter, we promptly received our drinks, and issued our dinner orders: I opted for their Quesadilla Supreme. (Steak and cheese, with guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and pico on the side) Not much long after, our food arrived. The presentation was very respectable, and the flavor was excellent! The tortilla was finely toasted, and the steak cooked perfectly. For the sides, the lettuce, pico, and guacamole were very fresh and tasty as well. My only complaint was they used VERY low fat sour cream, and consequently, the latter had a very thin watery taste to it. However, this is admittedly subjective, and will not affect my rating. The service was excellent! Our waiter was very polite, and kept us stocked on drinks our entire visit. All in all, if your looking for a quality Mexican restaurant that does everything right without costing you 1 arm and 1 leg, (~$25-30 for 2 people) look no further than Casa Del Rio.
