First timer to Los Tios. Had lunch on their 2nd day. Very impressed by the decor inside. Seated in the patio area. Nice ambiance. Overall very good value. For such a nice location prices are very attractive. Lunch is a bargain. The snapper and shrimp ceviche was very tasty. Tacos and enchiladas were classic Tex-Mex. Charro beans were as good as any I have had. Likewise the flan dessert. Service was very attentive. A few mixups on our order likely due to 2nd day in kitchen. Waiters took care of them quickly. Manager dropped by table to follow up. I did an excejob and handled in a way that made sure I will return with-in the next week. Follow up visit Returned for dinner on Labor Day since lunch had gone so well. Despite big crowd wait was only 30 minutes. While waiting near bar we were able to get drinks and have chips plus salsa. Our group of 6 were all quite pleased. I think the location is killing it despite 1st week. Noticed only two negative reviews submitted were due to the breakfast menu being available yet. My wife had a puffy stuffed with a lot of meat. A lot of food. The red fish on the half shell was outstanding. Service great as well. read more

Great margs and salsa. Other then that, not worth it with all of the choices in Houston. Went there for brunch today with 6 of us and all of us ordered something different and each person's order was just plain bad. Dry and flavorless eggs; huevos ranchero was a fried egg on top of a crispy torta... that was it; migas were overcooked eggs (even brown) with some chips in the eggs... nothing else in the migas and not even a sauce on it? Has to ask for salsa for noth huevos and migas to try and get some flavor going. Even the enchiladas were hard and flavorless. We were a little taken aback at truly how bad the food was. Sad since the location is great, but we won't be back. We will continue to search for our favorite TexMex since our favorite - El Real - closed a few months ago. read more

We work near the San Felipe location and usually come in once a week for drinks and appetizers. While the drinks and food are great, the last two times I have been there, I have been served by waiter, Geovanny H. He has the worse attitude. He acts like we are bother, never smiles or says thank you. He brings our initial drinks and never comes back to check on us to see if we need anything else. We spoke to the manager, but while he listened he didn't seem to care. We are part of a large company who frequently has business meetings. Too bad for Los Tios, because they will not be recommended for events or to friends and co-workers. read more

We decided to try this new restaurant in our area, it is close to our home and decided to try it out. It was pretty busy for a Friday night which is normal in this area, we were seated after a 30 minute wait. Once at our table we seat there for 30 mins with no waiter, but we saw some many managers and other staff walking around but no one waited on us. After we seat there with no service we decided to get up and walk out, this is pretty sad because it seem like a cool place. Not sure I would give them another try, so sad!!! read more

The atmosphere and remodeling was nice, and the staff are very friendly. However, the food was simply not good at all. We had the fish tacos and they had no flavor at all - we added salsa just to get some taste, but even the salsa was not good. I had the frozen margarita with Grand Marnier, however, i couldn't taste the Grand Marnier at all. We really wanted to like this place (and there was a wait to be seated), but the quality of the food and drinks were nowhere in the quality level as competitors like Pappasitos or Goode Company Tex Mex. Soo I've been to the "Los Tios" on Westheimer plenty of times the food service and salsa is always perfect.. so my sister and I decided to try the San Felipe location and I was honestly a tad disappointed when we got seated it was so tight and close to people next to us that I could reach over and eat one of their tacos if I wanted.. on the Bright side SIMRA was an AMAZING waitress and def made the experience better 12/10 on her customer service! read more

First time dining at any Los Tios location and we were so impressed!! Atmosphere is a 10/10 - cozy, festive, comfortable, and visually appealing. Food, drinks, prices, and service were all on point. Didn't have to wait long at all when restaurant was full, maybe 10 minutes at most. Appetizers, drinks, and entrees came out promptly without us feeling rushed. Yes to this place. The dishes are varied, the seating is ample, and the service is very pleasing. Try out the semi-outdoor seating area towards the back left of the restaurant for a sweet experience where you're half-indoors and half-outdoors.
