The office is rather new, just a couple of years old, and always tidy. Their waiting room is somewhat small, but there's a TV, a Keurig, and bottled water. Oh, and a fish tank. Their dental suites appear state-of-the-art, but what do I know. X-rays are taken in the rooms, and displayed on their widescreen monitors. The doctors do an excellent job of explaining any issues you may have, and how they can be treated. There are no pressure-tactic sales, either. I've been a patient here for over 2 years and it's always a pleasure. Well, not a "pleasure" per se, I mean it is a dental clinic -- but it's a pleasure in as much as a dental visit can be a pleasure. Plan your appointments in advance because they're a busy office and it can potentially take some time to get an appointment.

From the people at the front desk to the dental assistants and the doctors they are all top notch. My front teeth had worn down and were in need of repair and I needed a bridge replacement. Dr. Moore and his team handled it all. Very professional and the finished product looks amazing. I didn't feel any pain whatsoever and they were always concerned with my comfort. I also had some minor work done and even a whitening treatment and I am completely satisfied with it all. The hygienista are all very friendly and do their jobs well. I see Dr. Sarah and she is super professional. Maybe the most amazing thing I have found is that I have yet to wait even 5 minutes beyond my appointment time to be seated and for the work to begin. I also attached a picture with my teeth before my first set of braces with Dr. Brandon. He corrected one k9 but failed to correct #11. Failed to correct second time. I've had braces done twice with Dr. Brandon to correct my teeth. Fast forward to now, my tooth (#11) still does NOT align with the rest of my teeth properly. I've since been seen by two other doctors who both refused to do any composite bonding or additional work because they stated this issue should have been corrected during the time I had braces/ he needs to be the one to correct the issue. Especially after going through treatment twice with Dr. Brandon. On May 20th, I went in for an evaluation and X-rays. Instead of taking accountability or offering to correct the issue, Dr. Brandon referred me out. I spoke with one of the locations I was referred to, explained my situation and they stated Dr. Brandon should be the one correcting this since it should have been addressed during my original treatments and they feel he's brushing me off. Very disappointing experience after spending years trusting him with my teeth. On top of all this speaking with Maricela Macumba was frustrating. She is rude, dismissive, and lacks basic customer service skills. It's honestly embarrassing that Dr. Brandon has someone like this representing his office and handling patients. WORST front desk (Angela) worker; she's rude, apathetic, and still employed by this travesty of a dental practice. I was a patient here for approximately 2 years. I have had 3 dentists involved in my care in that time. Every appointment I've been to at this office has been late, without explanation, at minimum 15 minutes. I've waited up to 40 minutes past my appointment time before I was even brought to an exam room. Also, the call center is AWFUL! Every time I've had to use the call center to leave a message with my office or schedule emergency treatment, something goes wrong. Either the office doesn't call me back or the office calls to change my appointment that the call center scheduled. Detail/specific circumstance to prove my summary- I started the process for a tooth extraction and implant/crown a little over a year ago. In the time that I was healing and preparing financially for the second phase of treatment, the oral surgeon that I had left Ideal Dental. When I went to the office in April and attempted to schedule phase 2 of treatment, the date that the new oral surgeon was coming to the Culebra office in May didn't work for my prior commitments. I asked if it was possible to go to another Ideal Dental office on another date to get my procedure done and was told no. They didn't have the June date for the oral surgeon yet but they assured me that they'd call when they did. Surprise, surprise- I never got a call to schedule my June treatment and I missed the date that the new OS came to the office. They decided that suddenly I was allowed to go to other offices for treatment, so I drove from SA to New Braunfels for my appointment on a Friday. I paid the copay and then got called back and told that they don't have the parts they need for my implant because the new surgeon uses different implants than the old surgeon. The office manager there stated it was the fault of the Culebra office for not communicating the tools needed for my implant. I called the Culebra office and couldn't get ahold of anyone for several hours. Angela, front desk at the Culebra office, was apathetic and unapologetic about having me drive 2 hours round trip for no reason. She said she'd call me back when she heard from the Oral Surgery manager. Monday at 11am, I hadn't heard from them so I called to confirm if I can get an OS appointment in July still. Angela told me that the Oral Surgery manager and her talked on Friday, and they decided that I need to go find an Oral Surgeon to do my treatment instead because they didn't have the parts needed for my treatment and didn't plan on ordering them unless I couldn't find somewhere else to go. They gave me the number of an outside office to try and finish my treatment there. After calling over 6 dentists and spending 1.5 hours on the phone with various places, I finally found someone who uses the implant system that I have and could finish my treatment in a timely manner. If you've made it this far, please save yourself the hassle and go to a REAL dentist office. These box chains will become the bane of your existence. Having 3 different dentists over the course of a year long treatment is INSANE. No patient should experience that level of turnover. All the oral surgery/dentist offices that I called to find treatment for my implant were not surprised about my treatment as a patient by Ideal Dental and they strongly encouraged me to find a dentist outside of a box chain. They WILL change prices for treatment regularly. In April my crown was going to cost me one chunk of change and in June, the price increased $1,100. They either missed that my insurance had a clause that wouldn't cover the rest of my treatment OR they knew and wanted to get my treatment done there so they could charge me out of pocket after the fact. They will up charge you on more than just fluoride for regular cleanings. Please do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache. Go elsewhere.

So I came in to get a referral and they charged me 85 dollars!! For what ?? It was so rediculous in the past they never would have charged me for something like this at any other office.
