On a trip to ABQ, I came here for a late evening drink while waiting for a friend. Lost Cultures is a fairly quick walk from Old Town and has a parking lot available if you drive over. There's quite a bit of indoor seating and I saw friends meeting up for a chat as well as people studying or reading by themselves; so it's a very multifunction bar/cafe. Service was very quick and when I had questions about the difference between the two matcha teas I was debating between, the barista actually brought out both matcha tins for me to look at the color and scent. Their menu has been updated to have 3 types of matcha available and sadly I didn't photograph it as the photos here are the previous matcha offerings. Both matcha powders are a fresh vibrant green and one smells more nutty/bitter (the one I opted for) vs the other that smells more sweet. Hot Matcha Tea 4/5, this was great and I got some agave syrup on the side if I wanted sweetener. This place is super unique. I've never been to a place like it before. It's very hippie like a great place to sit down and do homework since it's not too busy inside. The staff are friendly and give great recommendations to try. The drinks are on the pricier side but you will definitely get a unique drink and taste. The chia tea was not really my cup of tea but it was a fun and different flavor to try. The refreshing drinks are so good any one of them you will enjoy and definitely find delicious! Seating was comfortable and the store was empty when we first arrived- so no problem as far as I see with bringing groups in last minute. The N/A options truly are special and impressive. Another gem in the Duke City! Located near the Sawmill, this tea bar has a different vibe. It's cozier and the teas are special. There are tables where folks can work on their computers, hold small meetings as well as the bar. The young man behind the bar, who served us, knew a lot about the tea blends and how to serve them. What a wonderful treat trying wonderful crafted mocktails at Lost Cultures Tea Bar! I really enjoyed my experience there and felt like finally my lifestyle (of being sober!!) is being heard in ABQ! I love the idea that Lost Cultures Tea Bar tries to bring about all the healthy..but fun and sassy things we should all embrace in our lives! I had a chance to try 2 housemade signature mocktails: the Smokey Rose and Fall Sunshine and I loved the creativeness and the pretty (and yummy) details that went into the drinks! The Fall Sunshine has a nice fruity taste to it but I really enjoyed the smokey smell within the Smokey Rose a lot! (It's just more unique in my mind...although both tasted so wonderful!). I would definitely want to stop by to try their other housemade cocktails again for sure. P.S. They do have other events like Yoga + meditation events along with tea afterwards as well. This is such a fun and bright spot! They offer kombucha, tea, coffee, and light pastries. My only disappointment was that there weren't any vegan pastry options available. Beyond that, everything was wonderful--I had a pint of kombucha (delicious, even if I can't remember the name!) followed by a pour-over coffee to top off my visit. The person at the counter was lovely--upbeat, friendly, and sociable. I'll definitely be back, and I hope more people discover this gem, because it's a great place to hang out. read more

I Lost Cultures is a new tea bar which is completely non alcoholic in everything they offer. I do enjoy a regular cocktail with alcohol but I wanted to try this place out primarily because it's a tea bar and my number one favorite beverage is tea! I didn't see any chai options so I asked and they do not offer any chai options. They did recommend the Hojicha tea (hot). Is a Japanese green tea, basically a roasted matcha tea. I tried it as I am a fan of matcha. With each drink I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, the verdict is still out. It had an interesting earthy taste. I'd like to go back and try it again. Enter Lost Cultures. It's a cocktail, tea and kombucha bar where everything on the menu is nonalcoholic. The cocktails are a combination of familiar favorites with some nice local twists. Teas were high quality with a fabulous presentation, kept warm on a stone coaster. The kombuchas were light and refreshing. The vibes are extremely chill and the space inside is great. We had friendly servers who were very attentive and helpful in finding the right teas and drinks. It made my heart happy seeing lots of folks hanging out at this unique spot and having a great time. Places like this are so important in creating safe, inclusive spaces for everyone. I look forward to cooking back here and trying more of their menu! read more

I really like the idea of this tea bar and the unique cocktails they make here. They really know their tea and are learning more as they are open in creating a sober alternative for the community to be in. The tea is great, you are welcome to stay and feel comfortable. There are even showers in the bathrooms for when they offer yoga classes and I noted a kid corner which is always a big plus in my book. Kids are people too and deserve to be included in society. We went to try a bunch of teas and it was such a great experience. I don't know anything about tea and I'm still trying to figure out which teas I prefer. This was a great experience because the tea pots are only $4 each so you can order a bunch and share! I actually preferred the teas to the mock-tails. I wasn't too crazy about any of the mock-tails I ordered. They looked pretty though! The tea, however, great! This place is pretty popular right now with large and small groups checking it out. Lost culture was a really cute place offering non-alcoholic beverages. I do imbibe on drinks with alcohol but this was a nice alternative. I ordered the Fall Sunshine based on the bartenders recommendation, it came out with cute presentation and I love the dried pineapple on the rim. However, it was a little too much pineapple for my taste. I couldn't really taste any tea in this drink and the other flavors just didn't come through. It could have just been a one-off cuz I did try a sip of my friends drink which was the Jade refresher. Now this is one I do recommend it had all the flavors and some fizziness to it. It felt like I was drinking a true mocktail. I probably could drink this one all day and night. I would definitely come here again just to try the other drinks and see how they all compare.
