They hand weigh and fill the looseleaf tea purchases. The tea itself is delicious. Had to go to them to get help and basically was pointed to an area of teas but that was it, no descriptions/recommendations, just here they are get what you want..... I recently visited this place for my birthday since I've become a bit of a tea enthusiast lately. There are so many teas to choose from! I ended up buying 13 1oz packs of loose leaf tea because there were so many flavors and blends that sounded delicious. It's also surprisingly inexpensive. The tea tastes very high quality and I've enjoyed every flavor I purchased. My favorite so far is the "New Mexico Breakfast". A cool perk is that if you sign up by email you get a free sample of your choice every month. I also just purchased their tea of the month subscription as a gift for a friend and the price is amazing for how much tea you get! It's $8 for 20 cups of tea each month. Most tea subscriptions are double that price! It's a steal. Once I make a dent in my tea collection I'll definitely be coming back here to restock and try some new flavors! read more

I have been a customer for 10 years or so. I have tried many different teas through the years but have made the Pondi Cherry a staple. I love it as an iced tea and take it with me on my extended walks. I usually buy by the pound because it's a daily make. With that, they will often offer a free sample of any tea which makes it fun to take home to try. Masala Chai is also high on my list for hot beverages. There is truly something for everyone, and at a better price point than normal places to buy tea. I love my teas! Small little company but a large selection of teas! There is a wall nine feet tall with their blends, small sample jars to see and smell and the staff very helpful and knowledgable about the selection. They also have steeping products, tea pots including tradtional, modern and Japanese pots, tea cozies and cups and its a cozy place,. I wasn't offered samples, nor did I see any, but they were busy! NM Tea Co. has a fabulous collection of black, green, white, herbal and a host of other teas. One of my faves is the Ceylon New Vithankanda! It is a luxurious black tea that is really rich yet smooth. A total treat in the morning with a spot of milk! There are too many teas to write about, literally! I have probably 30+ bags of different teas from here. Every time I go, I refill my faves and try a new tea, just for kicks. If you sign up to get their emails you get a free sample every month...no strings attached. It makes 1 pot of tea. Totally worth it! What I love are the cool stickers on the tins for each tea and the fact that you can smell every tea in mini tins. Everyone is fabulously educated about every type of tea and its properties, health and flavor. Their free monthly samples offer a great way to try new teas you might not consider otherwise.
