We came to Lost Fox after an event at CHS Field and had a great time! We sat at the bar, service was fun and chatty. We ordered the dry rub chicken wings and burger. Both were great! It's a super cool vibe with plenty of seating options. Definitely worth going if you're in Lowertown area!

Such a great find! Much bigger space than you think from outside, coffee and orders to go and also a bar and dinning area. Very chill vibe and decent service. I had the quinoa bowl with grilled chicken and it was so flavorful! The veggies were cooked perfectly. Chicken was a little overcooked but I would for sure order this again! Husband had the fried chicken sando and flavor was good but a very thin piece of chicken. Great thin fries! Parking can be a bit of a challenge (street only) but worth the hassle!

Lost Fox in St. Paul had such a great vibe! Once you walk in, you felt the coziness of the coffee shop, but also the liveliness of the bar. It's a "seat yourself" type of place with quick and friendly service. The restaurant offered a good variety of fusion food. We got the spicy chicken sandwich and chicken tinga rice bowl. Both were tasty and full of flavor! We definitely want to check out during the day. It's a cool local hangout spot for anyone looking to chill with some friends or want a simple date night!

A cool spot to grab lunch or stop by for a coffee. The building is split, one side is the restaurant and the other is the coffee/café area. The café side felt more like the workspace, so that's where I ended up. There were plenty of extension cords around in case you needed a charge! The ambience was cool, but it's a bit dark and dim inside. It didn't bother me while I was working, but something to keep in mind.

Banana Pudding Matcha, Pumpkin Spice Mocha or Latte?

My friend and I stopped here briefly after sending our friend to the Amtrak station across the way. Hence, this shop gets points for convenience. We were 3rd in line but getting nervous & wanting to rush back because we forgot to pay street parking. Thankfully both of us decided our orders while waiting & the process was quick. My friend was told they ran out of maple syrup so she said pumpkin spice was fine. I got the banana pudding matcha & spinach/artichoke roll. Both of these are my go-to's in other coffee shops, so I knew they wouldn't disappoint. The matcha was great, almost keeps up with Merit Coffee in Austin. I'm actually shocked at how fast this specific combo has taken over specialty coffee shops, I thought it was unique to Merit! The roll was flavorful too but could be better if warmed - I understand the line was getting longer behind us so staff was in crunch time (and so were we!)

Cuban Sandwhich, not grilled. Supposedly pork, but tasted more like tuna fish with barbeque sauce.

The Lost Fox has a good vibe and a pleasant atmosphere but the food was pretty bad. I ordered a Cuban sandwich for takeout. It was reputed to be grilled pork, but tasted more like tuna salad with barbeque sauce. The sandwich wasn't grilled as it should have been and the roll it was served on was a fluffy white thing that seemed more akin to a hotdog bun than a true Cubano roll. The greens served on the side were fine, but at nearly $20 the meal it was waaay overpriced. If I hadn't been so hungry, I would have returned it after the first bite. As it was, I threw half of it in the trash.

I've been here for coffee many times and I love the coffee and the atmosphere. I've only hesitated to write a review because I've never been to the dining section so I can't comment on it. For me, this is a charming urban coffee counter and hangout. Prices for coffee drinks are better than similar places, and the service is always very friendly. The decor is busy with botany and art; very pleasant city-joint atmosphere. I really need to try the food in the restaurant. I'll probably update my review after doing that, but for now you can officially know that I love stopping here for coffee.

Lost fox is a cute little place, nice tables and very open concept, just a casual dining place. Everyone was friendly and food came fast. The food itself was solid, simple, and good. It's not going to be a main go to spot but we would come back.

Twin Cities grub - east side of the river - 2 of 2 At this point, on the east side of the river in downtown St. Paul, I took it upon myself to find the place to eat. I did this by just asking someone. It's no surprise that the person I asked was a foreigner working as a doorman and security guard. I bring this up because I find myself speaking to foreigners more so than my American contemporaries would. At any rate, the Lost Fox was suggested. The Lost Fox is right there in the center; however, it sits to one side of the platform at the Union Station Depot terminus of the Metro Green line. It doesn't jump out at you ... after all, the fox is "lost." Upon entering, you are inside a woodsy locale that has a good vibe. The front part is more of a coffeehouse, with books and laptops open while people have coffee or tea and something to eat on the sides of their tables as well. Moving a little inward, it becomes a restaurant and there is a bar slightly further in. We got to pick where we wanted to sit and were attended to promptly. My friend had a pulled pork sandwich. I had a Cubano sandwich. My friend accompanied the pulled pork with a pale ale beer. I had the usual refillable soft drink. My friend thought the pulled pork sandwich platter was good. I thought my Cubano sandwich was just okay. In looking at both platters, they seemingly used to same pulled pork to stuff the Cubano sandwich. Almost every Cubano sandwich I've had uses a pork loin that features larger more intact slices and seem to be pressed with the other ingredients. I prefer that presentation and, truthfully, other Cubano sandwiches I've had have tasted better. The service at the Lost Fox was very low key and helpful. There is an interesting mix of people in the restaurant and in the coffeehouse. While downtown St. Paul seemingly goes into a slumber after 5 p.m. and it's much smaller than Minneapolis's downtown, it is the state capital and people will want to eat or do the coffeehouse thing here later than the hours kept by public offices and local businesses. Given that, the Lost Fox is open late. They also have a reputable weekend brunch. While I didn't ask, I'm guessing my friend would give the Lost Fox 4 stars. It's my review, so I'm going to go with 3 stars, albeit a strong 3 stars. It's because the Cubano sandwich was just okay. However, while I didn't have the opportunity to return, this is the sort of woodsy coffeehouse I would enjoy patronizing and, additionally, they had some desserts that were priced fairly and looked tasty. That said, I would recommend the Lost Fox for its multifaceted possibilities as a restaurant, coffeehouse, and bar that you can easily reach by the Metro, parking your car nearby, and even on foot in this compact city center.

Ambiance, food, and service were amazing. This was an accidental find for us and as a bonus we discovered was right around the corner from a beautiful park and the St Paul farmer's market. Bonus number 2 is that there is a full coffee bar in the restaurant!

Ambiance is awesome, chill. Great art on the wall. Bar, food, coffee what can't you love!? A Ghostly Bargain - whoa!! Very citrusy, full of gin flavor. With an aftertaste of sasparilla which is very interesting I really love the decor and the people that work here are very beautiful!!

Stopped by Lost Fox in the morning, and wow what a gem! During the day it runs as a coffee shop and transitions into a restaurant at night, which I think is such a cool concept. I ordered a Cortado (a triple!) something I've never seen before and it was absolutely perfect. The Ultimate Breakfast Bagel Sandwich was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and so good that I ended up ordering a second one. The atmosphere is super cozy, with thoughtful designer touches, unique art pieces, and even some fun games around that make it feel warm and inviting. The staff was kind, welcoming, and quick with service. Whether you're looking for a calm morning coffee spot or a place to unwind in the evening, Lost Fox hits the mark. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, they were out of skim milk today, but he offered to tweak the amount when I told him that the main reason I usually had skim milk was to enhance the coffee flavor(and their coffee really tasted good). Additionally, he offered to make my drink in my personal cup which was great since I hate to use plastic whenever I can. This location is only a half block from United Hospital and all its various buildings and there is no good coffee within that entire complex. It's definitely worth getting a breath of fresh air and taking a block and a half stroll to have a great cup of Joe! This is a small coffee shop almost to the downtown area. There is neighborhood parking all around(free) just make sure you are reading the signs correctly. As I walked in, it had such a cozy and welcoming feeling. The brick, smell of coffee and people chatting really gave this a classic coffee shop vibe! Almost like being in a book! The service... i asked for my coffee iced and to have oat milk. Neither of those requests were fulfilled. Now, I do like hot coffee, so I didn't complain and I will say the coffee was delicious. The temp was perfect for drinking right away. I am lactose intolerant, so I didn't realize I didn't get my oat milk until after I left if you catch my drift haha. The person taking my order seemed frazzled and wasn't very friendly. I had also ordered another baked goods but I guess she didn't hear because upon checking my receipt, it wasn't listed. It wasn't overly busy, but may be she was new? Not sure, but it did leave a bit of a bad taste for this place. The scone was very tasty and I would recommend getting it warmed up. I would give this place a try again, but it's not a place I plan to visit again soon.
