Hope Breakfast Bar is continually one of my favorite places to grab breakfast, and I've now been to five of their locations. This time our family tried the 5th Avenue Minneapolis location right across from Twins Stadium. Quick tip, park in the garage facing the restaurant on the left side. It's an easy elevator ride up and the signage makes it simple. Matt was our server and did an outstanding job. Great service always makes a difference. Beverage options were excellent too, stuff for everyone, mimosas, specialty coffee drinks, and really solid drip coffee. The menu has a great balance of savory and sweet, so naturally we tried both. We had the breakfast sandwich with sausage, a BLT on a croissant, biscuits and gravy, pancakes with fruit, and a croissant-waffle fusion with lemon and sweet cream. Honestly, everything was delicious. What I appreciate most is the atmosphere. These restaurants just feel comfortable, welcoming, and easy to enjoy with family or friends. I'm excited they're coming to Maple Grove, but I'll still keep visiting the St. Paul, St. Louis Park, and Minneapolis locations too because I want to see our cities and local businesses thrive. read more

Average, indistinct factory breakfast spot in North Loop. Just not elevated or interesting in any way. Had the smoked salmon scramble which turned out to be a ln overcooked hot piece of salmon not smoked salmon sitting on top of salty eggs on top of toast. Please look up what smoked salmon is. Service was super fast and friendly. But weirdly they take 3% extra for credit card processing when basically everybody pays with a card (and they have a tap-to-pay machine). More cocktail options than menu options, soda in a can. Sheesh. read more

Hope Breakfast Bar- North Loop is now one of my favorite places for brunch. I've been to this location multiple times now and each time the service has been great and the food was fantastic! I've been to other locations and this one is my favorite. I tried the Cottage Bruschetta Toast and it is a must try! I was skeptical at first, but it's my favorite dish on the menu. Hope Breakfast Bar is a bright and open space right across from Target Field. It's decorated with some cool artwork, and it's hard not to be in a good mood when you walk in. The menu is large and has so many amazing-sounding options! It took forever to decide, but we eventually landed on the pina colada French toast and the biscuits n' gravy. They were both incredible, and we would love to return to try some of the other items on the menu. Our server was nice but overworked. She appeared to be the only server on the floor--there weren't even bussers to help her out! Thus, the service was a bit lackluster, but we certainly don't blame her for it. We came with a reservation on a Sunday morning and I would highly recommend a reservation. This place is right off the lightrail stop making it easy to get to! They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's a much larger space than I realized. Their menu is so fun and it was hard to make a decision on what to get! I ended up getting one of their bowls which was good but maybe not as balanced as I would've liked - for example there was an overwhelming amount of pickles and it was light on sauce and the contents made it difficult to stir. I got the horchata coffee drink and the cinnamon on top was a bit overpowering. We got the donuts for the table and that was a great shared option. The service was rather attentive but not above and beyond. We did learn that they have an hour limit on the weekend so you will have to find a different place to sit around and chat read more

I love Hope Breakfast Bar, no matter the location. Anytime I'm in the cities, I've been looking for any excuse to get out to this restaurant. At this location it was cool to see it in the heart of downtown Minneapolis near the Target field. This particular occasion my best friend and I went. Our server was very mindful and took all the precautions when I mentioned my dairy allergy (hello Midwest). She literally went as far as to find out if the brioche they use is dairy free. Ya'll after conferencing for a week and struggling for people to understand it means all dairy, even in baked items, you can only imagine how elated I was! Back to the food. I had the Breakfast Tostada and an iced Vietnamese coffee with oatmilk. If you're a Vietnamese coffee fan, then you understand why that blew my mind!!! My friend has the Stuffed Poblano and a banana latte. To top it off, I was able to get a birthday shot. The menu is vast with plenty of savory and sweet items. They also have a menu that is very accommodating to different dietary restrictions. We came for a Sunday brunch and our service was quick and the food came out very fast after ordering! I would definitely recommend making a reservation, as it's pretty busy. I ordered the pistachio cardamom coffee and I do wish the pistachio flavor came through a bit more but it was good overall. The real star of the show for me was the sunrise chili crunch bowl! This was the first place we went to eat at Minneapolis while we were on vacations and did not disappoint! The vibe of the restaurant is super cool, the decor also makes you want to look at every detail, specially the super sweet card at the table inviting you to write your hopes and dreams, then they have a wall to place your note (love the idea). Now down to the most important thing, the FOOD, wow we wouldn't decide what to order, they have so many good options so we decided to do family style and order many dishes and share and we loved them, the best one was the breakfast sandwich (sounds simple but it is not its delishhhh!)! Our drinks were also delicious, our fav was the butterscotch latte & the white chocolate matcha latte! Our server Bri was also very helpful and friendly and she guided us with recommendations too! The only little thing was that we ordered some scrambled eggs on the side and that surprisingly not very good... also we reserved and when they sat us they wanted to seat us in the overflow area which is another restaurant and the vibes are not the same, HOPE is unique and we had to talk to someone to make sure the change our table and sat us back to where we really reserved (thanks Bri for making it happen). The seating here is horrible and made for children and I thought the food per price was horrible. The portion sizes are small, per price, $68, for the three us to eat, for something that I could have made blind-folded at home. They were clearly short staffed and felt so bad for the waiter that I tipped him $25. What confused was there was two individuals standing behind the bar at 10am doing nothing. read more

I really enjoyed this new location. I've been to Hope Breakfast Bar at other locations, but this may be my new favorite. I think it's in a beautiful spot with great views of the city, and the joint space with Salt & Flour means plenty of room and comfortable seating for a nice eating experience. The food was on par with the other locations, but I must say that I felt like my food came out much quicker than it ever did before at this location. Everything hot and exactly as ordered. This was my first time at the west end location. One thing you can count on this location are that there's plenty of parking! Walking in we saw two bunnies, Easter Sunday, and was greeted at the door where we told them we had a reservation, which you should totally do especially on weekends. We got seated right away and I like the decor and how the tables are setup. The menu looked promising and was looking to try something different so was thinking between the two salmon dishes with one being a Easter menu with smoked salmon. The server who helped told me everyone was eating their plate clean on that one so I said why not lol. It was delicious and the drinks were good too, not too sweet. My lo got the hopes waffle and side of eggs and hash and he barely shared with me! Food is average. Service is horrible. Sat at the bar since I am by myself. Came in at 11 am on Friday, November 28th. I got one glance from blonde bartender lady. She took my order and never checked in my food or on me again. My very small glass of water was never refilled. When i had enough I cannot find a person to make eye contact with me for me to check out. Finally I got the attention of barista on the other side. Brunettte girl was actually very nice and she's the one who closed me out. I am not sure if it is the way I dressed or the way I looked but I very much feel unwelcome at this establishment. Came in on a busy Sunday morning. Ordered the salmon pimento bagel & pistacho cardamom coffee. The coffee was absolutely not for me, which made me sad because I love pistachio. I asked to swap it out with the caramel coconut coffee. This one was so much better. The salmon pimento bagel was super disappointing. With the picketed veggies, the bottom bun ended up being soggy and I just ended up picking at it. Our server was pretty busy too, and I understand he couldn't be as attentive but he didn't tell us his name or even asked how our food was. While on our trip to Minneapolis, my wife came across Hope Breakfast Bar. It was amazing! The wait was a bit long, 45 mins or so, but it was well worth it! Locations are only in the Minneapolis area. I had the Breakfast Sandwich. I was skeptical that it would fill me up but it surpassed my expectations. The only thing that I would suggest is to ask customers if they would prefer their bagel toasted. I do not know anything about maintaining the integrity of a bagel so take this with a grain of salt. My wife had their Fried Chicken & Waffles and her plate was empty so it is safe to say that she enjoyed it. My son, 5 years old, ordered the Wild Blueberry Pancakes, he was not a fan and probably would have just enjoyed a plain stack. I tried the pancakes myself and they were good! The place itself was very welcoming with bright colors and some pretty amazing art work. I really liked that they encourage their customers to share their hopes on a card and that their staff prays weekly for those requests. I would definitely recommend Hope Breakfast Bar. read more

Parking is a little tough because of how centrally located it is but there are meters available. That aside, it's an adorable place with a greenery wall to greet you and we were able to walk in on a Saturday morning and get seated within a few minutes without a reservation. They have a huge menu of food and drinks (both alcoholic and not). I got an Irish coffee that was delicious. I also got the breakfast croissant sandwich that came with a side of hash browns.
