This restaurant was the cutest! We were looking for a cute brunch spot to celebrate our daughter's birthday and this was it! I loved the vibe and the decor - so cozy, lively, and welcoming! The service was nice and friendly. The menu had a variety of items for everyone in our party. The entrees were unique, creative, and absolutely delicious! We tried the short rib criollo, the pork belly skillet, the quiche, the copper benedict, pancake, bacon, and the cinnamon rolls... everything was delicious! The cinnamon rolls were the best we've ever had - amazing!! This is a great spot to check out!

I can't believe I've never been to the comprehend. Probably reflects the fact that it's hard to get me to go across the river in Minneapolis. But I am so glad I did. One of the many amazing restaurants Eat Street that everyone should go patronize, especially for the support they have been providing the neighborhood lately. I love the aesthetic. It's very cozy yacht a little industrial with the exposed brick walls. I would be cautious about sitting next to a wall when it's extraordinarily cold. But otherwise you're fine. Even though they were very busy, our server was very attendant. Brought me all the coffee refills I needed. I just had the drip, but it was excellent. I ordered the avocado toast. I thought it was a little high priced until they brought it. I could not get over the size of my meal. It was so huge. But more importantly it was so tasty. I don't often gosh about avocado toast. But this one was really good. Thick cut bread. Avocado salsa that just really held its own up against the toppings. There's a little bit of a kick of heat. Eggs were done just the way I asked. It was so large. I ended up cutting it in half and bringing the rest home to eat later in the day. What a wonderful brunch. I can't wait to go back.

Very good Happy Hour spot. Atmosphere is always lively yet quaint. Bar seating for Happy Hour is spacious in the main dining room and not in the way of wait staff pathways. It's nice to be able to sit at the bar and not feel in the way or smothered by being in a direct pathway. Happy Hour pricing is the real stand out it's incredible we had a bottle of wine, steak sliders, fries and broccolini and bill was just over $50.

Farmer's Brunch (~$18) with breakfast potatoes (substituted)

Ordered: Farmer's Brunch (~$18): scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes (substituted) & sauce ranch crème fraiche, bread pudding French toast, and Ferndale turkey sausage Aya's take: Classic brunch spot in Minneaopolis. The Copper Hen has a very rustic vibe and a fairly standard menu, so you'll definitely find something for everyone. After some deliberation, I went with the Farmer's Brunch since it had a good variety on the same plate. The scrambled eggs were cooked well, I enjoyed the crispy and seasoned breakfast potatoes, and the turkey sausage was a great non-pork option. I love that bread pudding French toast is included in this dish. The bread pudding French toast was dense, sweet, but very tasty. I love a sweet & savory combo so this was perfect. For all this food, I thought ~$18 was a steal! Decent spot for brunch if you're in the area.

I rarely give 5 stars - but this place was excellent! Visiting from Houston and took my daughter - who lives in MN - to brunch before leaving - we decided on the Copper Hen. We ordered a few things and shared + she had leftovers for the week. Cinnamon roll was overly DELISH!! We split the biscuits and gravy - be warned this is a full entree. Ordered the daily quiche - fresh flavors and delicious. Our last dish was the pork belly skillet. We topped everything off with a champagne cupcake. AND the breakfast potatoes are OMGoodness! Wait staff were fabulous and friendly! The decor is modern rustic cafe - very cute.

We arrived to our reservation early, but they were able to seat us immediately! We were here to celebrate a birthday, and we got a free cupcake because of it, which was very sweet. The servings were all very large, everyone easily took home leftovers. On a Sunday evening, vibes were great and just quiet enough to hear each other talk which I always love. Will be here again for brunch!

I had a wonderful experience here for brunch. The service was great, and they were willing to split checks for 6 people which I really appreciated. I ordered the smoked salmon plate, which ended up being enormous!! The cream cheese was especially good. Next time I plan to order pasties ahead of time, because by the time I left around noon most were sold out. I also love that this is on a main bus line, as I value places that are accessible by public transit.

Ugh, I was really hopeful for this place but our night was just a little off. The waitress forgot a few things but I'm assuming positive intent and that she was just having an off day. She seemed really nice! The wine, was delicious, Predator Six Red Blend. I ordered a chicken pot pie, perfect for a gloomy night. The crust was great, could have used more vegetables, the kicker was there was a whole chicken thigh in the pie, not really that appetizing. The potential is there though! Lastly I was excited for dessert, white cake with champagne frosting in a little mason jar. The cake tasted like corn bread and was not very fresh. I prefer copper hen for breakfast.

Ooooh. I LIKE it here. They absolutely nail the rustic chic aestetic. Picture the most Instagrammable farmhouse wedding ever--that's what it looks like. Lots of wood and stone, beautiful, warm lights, a neat dried hydrangea chandelier, and touches of vintage ephemera came together to make an extremely welcoming and comfortable space. Add in some great tunes and awesome service, and I am already sold. There's a parking lot right across the street, which makes parking easy as pie, too. The menu here is impressive. With a wide range of dishes for palates and preferences of every kind, you're sure to find something that pleases. Massive praise for the vast selection of vegetarian friendly options and the zero-proof beverage menu. Adore. While I was strongly tempted by the mocktails, I ultimately landed on the lemonade. I'm not sure if this is a new TC beverage trend or I've just gotten lucky lately, but I have seen creative lemonades appearing on menus, and I have never been disappointed. The Copper Hen has a handful of flavor options, and thanks to their complimentary refill on lemonade, I got to try two flavors--lavender and rosemary. (They're both really good, and they're very pretty.) We ordered some shareables to start, including the ratatouille and the sweet potato pierogies. They were both SO GOOD. The pierogies are fried and come served with a tasty creamy sauce and browned butter. It was pure comfort on a gray and rainy day. They were chewy and just the right blendu of sweet and savory, with a healthy dose of nuttiness thanks to the browned butter and Parmesan. Yum. The ratatouille had a beautiful presentation and was bright in both color and flavor--the squash and eggplant held their shape, and the tomato sauce had the lovely bite of garlic and pepper. The cheese on top added flavor and texture contrast and was a really pleasant addition. (I absolutely recommend them both.) For my entree, I had the loveliest Parmesan tortellini: served in a spicy vodka sauce, it was cooked to a perfect al dente. Topped with basil and Parmesan, this dish is sure to please anyone who's a fan of pasta. The presentation and flavors were just flawless. As you'd expect from a place that has "cakery" in its name, The Copper Hen does dessert, and they do it well. With a huge selection of cupcakes and mason jar cakes always on offer, it also features seasonal takes on several classic desserts, including the two that we went with: the hand pie and the crème brûlée. The hand pie is available warmed and with ice cream (highly recommend), and this evening, was berry. It was just want you want in a pie--sweet and flaky and made with love. The brûlée was maple and came with candied pecans. It was really, really good: there was exactly the right amount of brûlée, the pecans added additional crunch, and the combination of flavors made for the perfect amount of sweetness. The Copper Hen would be a great place for dinner with friends, family, or a date. It's very conducive to conversation, and it's a really comfortable space to be in. This really is a great find!

Sat outside for a recent Sunday brunch. Enjoyed a spicy "bloody hell", which arrived with olive and a muffin garnish. Veggie omelette with Brie was on point. Farmers potatoes weren't available but oven roasted potatoes substituted were delicious. Others enjoyed the Hot honey chicken sandwich, the chillequiles, and the quiche. All plates were beautiful and service was great. Limited outside seating in the bright Minneapolis sunshine was delightful.

I was excited to try this place but the food fell a little short. My favorite item was the short rib, the rice was tasty and the short rib was tender. The farmers breakfast was alright. The potatoes tasted a little stale and the eggs were a little rubbery and didn't taste like anything. The bread pudding was very dense and I personally like my bread pudding to be a little more moist. The sandwich was fine and the potatoes were crunchy. The batter on the chicken was also crunchy but tasted unseasoned and flavorless. I liked the pickles in the sandwich. The bakery items were very good, I think that's where this place really shines. It's a shame because the space is really cute and the staff seemed nice.

Checked Yelp for a location in Minnesota that had good bottomless mimosas and food and after scrolling decided to try The Copper Hen. Super cute restaurant that uses locally sourced food and ingredients. My waitress was super attentive and had knowledge of the menu. I ordered coffee, bottomless mimosas, and farmers brunch (scrambled eggs, roasted rosemary fingerlings with garlic green sauce, bread pudding french toast & ferndale turkey sausage. I devoured my food! Everything was delicious! It was busy (the restaurant was completely full when I left) but not overwhelming. You could hear chatter from all the conversations. I left full and smiling !

The latte came garnished with rose petals and was not too sweet. It was a nice way to start my meal. Then came the sweet potatoes, and oh my God, I think they were the best sweet potatoes I've ever had. They were unbelievably, delectably sweet and cooked perfectly. They had an excellent char while being soft on the inside. And the sweetness was complemented nicely by the maple chili crisp, which had just a bit of a kick. The bison skirt steak tacos were also delicious. The bison was so tender and juicy. Full of flavor and cooked superbly. My server wasn't kidding when she said the tacos were big enough to share between a few people. I ate the tacos by myself, and I was beyond stuffed. Alas, I wasn't a big fan of the spoonbread. The flavor wasn't bad, but I didn't care for the texture, which was a little too coarse for me. The dessert was gluten-free, and I could REALLY tell. It was also too spicy for me. The spoonbread was drenched in hot honey. But the sweet potatoes, tacos, and attentive & friendly service more than made up for it. The restaurant isn't cheap (especially for a solo diner), but I've seen worse prices for worse food. And I'm eager to check out their new location the next time I'm in Minneapolis. There is a lot to say about this restaurant, and most of it is very good. The ambiance had perfect energy. It felt lively, but never loud or overwhelming. It struck a really nice balance for a special night out. You could comfortably enjoy the experience and conversation. The service was exceptional. Not just friendly, but incredibly knowledgeable. Every course and every pairing was explained in detail, and the staff clearly knew their craft. Service - they absolutely delivered. We chose The W.C. Whitney Menu. I had the Premium Wine Pairing, which was excellent and very well done. My wife chose the Temperance Pairing since she does not drink alcohol. This was one of the few disappointments of the evening. Many of the drinks were designed to mimic the taste of cocktails and wine, while my wife does not care for the taste of alcoholic drinks. When it came to the food, there was a range. Some dishes were truly outstanding and worthy of Demi's reputation. Some were good but not exactly great. And honestly, a few were mediocre. With a tasting menu, you expect some variation, but at this level and at this price, mediocre does not cut it. Here's what it really comes down to. I would rate the experience itself 5-stars. But the cost of the evening did not come close to matching what was delivered. I was not looking for, or expecting value! We spent over $700 for the evening. Demi is very good. We are not wine people, but I'd still recommend doing the wine pairings ,which is an extra add on. It was really fun to learn about the different wines and how they tasted with the plates. There is some down time in-between courses but nothing ever felt too long. It seemed like a perfect time to converse and enjoy watching the chefs do their thing. It took about 2.5hrs to finish our nine course meal. The courses were so tasty! I was a little nervous because of previous reviews but we really felt like every dish was put together nicely. We were so impressed with how intricate each dish was and how many ingredients came together. A favorite was the wagyu ribeye. Just so delicious.
