Queso? Great! Nachos? Great! Tacos? Great! Fried pickles? Great! But objectively the best part of all this was the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and our server was absolutely hilarious! My friend decided they wanted to see how many sweet teas they could drink and the server was more than happy to play along and at one point brought a backup glass of tea. The ambience was lovely, the music was light and positive and it's in the loveliest spot!

Food was just okay. Tortillas were thick and dry. Taco fillings didn't pack a punch for flavor. Music and overall volume level was loud. Waitress didn't give us any cutlery or napkins until we asked. Water's ran dry a few times. Food items were forgotten a few times. I had to go up to the bar to ask for napkins. Our party enjoyed the ghost pepper nachos. Pork belly taco was the most-liked item out of everyone in the group.

If you come down here, make sure Jeff is bartending. He is one of the best ask him to make you a spicy margarita with his special sauce. You will absolutely fall in love and be addicted. We also had the local shrimp and muscles phenomenal.

Lost Local is always my first stop when I arrive in Beaufort! I love the vibe and decor. The servers are always really nice and attentive. Every one I've had has answered questions about food and offered great recommendations on what to order. If you're going to get a taco... it has to be the Deep South Gullah. Unreal! The Pork Belly is a close second. This trip we also tried the peel 'n eat shrimp for an appetizer. Better than any seafood restaurant and honestly the best we've ever had. For dessert we ordered key lime pie.. another solid choice. Although, my absolute favorite item to order is the spicy jalapeño margarita - it definitely brings the heat. Great stop as usual!

10/10 recommend. My wife and I came for lunch, while Christmas shopping and glad we chose Lost Local. The food was full of flavor and fresh, the service was spot on. If you're trying to figure out where to go, you've found the right spot.

Such a cute little restaurant but it was very loud and hard to hear. When we first went in we were seated at a table. We waited and waited and waited. About 10 min had passed and no one had spoken to us, we were not able to flag anyone down. It was crazy. We moved to the bar where we got amazing service ASAP. The bartender even commented on how that was a good idea. The drinks were soooooooo good. The bartender was super nice and inviting. I would go again but only if I sit at the bar so I can actually get service.

Were these the best tacos I've ever had? YUP. Were my eyes way bigger than my stomach, also yes. Our waiter said most people get 3, I thought for sure I'd still be hungry but OH MY GOD. These tacos were stuffed!! I had the Gullah, pork belly and fried green tomato. They were all so good but the fried green tomato was my favorite! Everything was so fresh, so hot, so yummy!! I had the black diamond marg, very good and very strong!

While in Beaufort, I wanted to try this place again. It's simple food that is done well! And simple is intended as a compliment! The service is great and the atmosphere fun . Their basic margarita is only $10!!!! And it's house made and delicious. Each flavor of their food somehow stands out and yet is cohesive. We really like this place.

A must - best place in the low country without attitude. Service is better than any other place twice the price. Great energy level a MUST!

Love this little place. Food was great and service was on point. Waitress was attentive. Nice little restaurant/bar on a nice strip of town. We did a "pay to park" lot a couple of blocks away. Not a bad walk.

I wouldn't say this place is "tucked away" in downtown Beaufort...I think "nestled" in the middle of downtown is a better way to say it. This weekend is the Beaufort water festival and we came early to grab lunch before going to the park. Kat had lunch here yesterday and wanted to bring me so here we are. The building is quite old but clean and offers a nice vibe. We both had the same tacos, the buffalo chicken and the southern Gullah, both of which were very fresh, tasty and the flavors were very well balanced. Now, these are $6 dollar tacos we're talking about, but two is plenty making for a $12 lunch per person which isn't bad in 2024. I wasn't going to have alcohol with lunch but I will say they have a pretty wide signature cocktail menu, so we'll have to come back one evening soon. I'll give this 5/5, I really liked it.

Came because I was hangry, and service was great I got my drink 1 minute after I sat down, ordered and not even within 5 minutes my food was out, and was very good I would definitely come here again!!! The atmosphere is great very nice and even a wall to take picture I love it here it's great!!! read more

I don't even know where to begin! This was one of the best meals I've had in Beaufort in a very long time and the service was beyond spectacular! We wandered in after biking the Spanish Moss Trail and I was getting hangry. I hadn't seen this place before and the entrance and decor were so appealing that we went right in. We were welcomed warmly by the bartender and decided to sit at the bar rather than the tables. I will say that they tables were spread apart nicely! The decor is so fresh and the atmosphere is light and friendly. FOOD - I ordered the conch fritters and although they are very different than many conch fritters I've had before, they were INCREDIBLE. Generous chunks of conch were mixed into a really flavorful dough with a nice texture. Crisp exterior, soft inside. Two sauces accompanied they fritters - an Asian Chili Sauce and a chipotle crema. Each delicious, but not necessary because the fritters were so good. I had the chicken-Mac tacos. Now, before you wrinkle your nose at the thought of mac n cheese on a taco, JUST TRY IT. I didn't realize there was Pico de Gallo on the taco, though, and since I can't have raw tomatoes (oral allergies) I have the first one to my husband and ordered another one without. It was still delicious even without the pico. The bacon jam will have you loving it. Husband had the beef Barbacoa taco and was thrilled with it. He can be picky about his barbacoa (Texan) and really raved about it. He also had the pork belly taco, which he liked, but I LOVED. Aaaand, lastly, the strawberry stuffed churros made me ashamed of my gluttony, but so damn happy. The bartender knew what he was doing. My cocktails were delicious and refreshing (Aperol Spritz), the beer list is long and our bartender was really knowledgeable about cocktails. If you get a chance, try some of their in-house flavored vodka - pineapple vanilla with just a splash of soda and OMG...heaven. This is a wonderful restaurant with excellent service, a great command of its cocktails, delicious food and a fresh new vibe. I hope it stays this way and sticks around for a long time! read more

We just stopped in for snacks and drinks. I'm not a local so they don't pay for the Sunday liquor license so keep that in mind! We were okay with subbing for wine. They were out of the crazy fries so I want to come back to try them. The chowder was great. Get the chips and queso! I loved it. Service was great. read more

I really enjoyed my experience. I had a Sangrita, fabulous for the hot happy hour air outside, refreshing. (inside in AC) and some tacos which were amazing, lots of flavor and interesting food blends. I am not a local, but I think this place does keep the locals happy and that says a lot. Nice staff, easy experience and very satsifying. :) Go, enjoy and forget the touristy stuff. read more

We were visiting Beaufort and stopped by Lost Local for some tacos. Our waitress was not friendly to us at all. She was waiting on the table next to us and was very nice to them but she did not show us the same respect. My husband and I sat down at the same time as that couple next to us. We both ordered the same appetizers, the queso and chips. They got theirs, but we kept waiting and waiting, we had to ask our server for our appetizer. She said oh they didn't bring it out? Then walked away, 2 mins later it arrived which told me she probably forgot about it or didn't ring it in, but she never admitted/accepted fault or apologized. I ordered the carne asada and buffalo chicken tacos. The buffalo chicken was good however the steak on the carne asada was raw in the middle. I asked our waitress to cook them longer, which she said no problem and when they came back they were very good and had good flavor! We wanted to try the Mac chicken tacos, but they were out of Mac and cheese, which is surprising since several of their tacos had Mac and cheese on them. Honestly, just the fact that every time our server came to the table next to us, she always asked them if they were okay and as she walked off we had to flag her down to get anything. This restaurant just opened not too long ago, I'm hoping that once they get through their growing pains, the service and availability of menu items will be more consistent. Update: I'm updating my review after speaking with the owner. He was very kind and I understand why things went wrong the way they did after speaking with him. Even though we had bad service from our waitress, the food was very tasty and we will be back soon to try out more tacos! read more

If you're vacationing at one of the islands in Beaufort, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Drove 20 minutes from Harbor Island, arrived around 8:15pm only to be greeted with "our kitchen just closed". Website says open until 9pm. Either the website hours are outdated or just poor service or a combination of both. read more

Holy smokes, every thing we ordered was so damn good from the tacos to the kids meals to the beer selection. My husband and I had different tacos, all seafood. Kids had spaghetti w marinara and chicken tenders. Music was on point too. Service was a touch slow but totally worth the food quality in our opinion. read more

Cute little place in the heart of downtown Beaufort. We loved everything we ordered, but wished the tacos were on larger flour tortillas. They were a little tricky to eat. But they're stuffed with a nice variety of flavors. Our server was a gem. She was VERY busy, but she was hustling to make sure everyone got what they needed. She smiled even though she had to be worn out. I think her name was Kennedy. read more

Will definitely be coming back every time I'm in Beaufort. Had two tacos and a margarita, which was the perfect combination the spicy jalapeño margarita didn't disappoint in its description. I was hesitant about the Mac chicken taco, but I was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. I also loved the Barbacoa beef taco. read more

Wish I could rate this place zero stars. My husband and I went here for a date night expecting amazing service and decent food after looking at the reviews. However, our waiter Jeff was extremely short with us and snarky with the questions we had about the menu. My husband ended up ordering the deep south gullah, the ahi tuna, and the pork belly, while I got the crack nachos with the pickled jalapeños on the side. My husband's tacos took 35 minutes to come out and they were cold. The waiter never brought my side of pickled jalapeños after I asked for them a second time. Along with that, my waiter told me that they had no clean silverware. The food was subpar and my husband and I will not be returning. read more

2 stars because they have cool drinks and a good beer selection, service was good also. The food was terrible. The salsa tastes like Pace Picante salsa with sugar in it. They try too hard to make cool tacos, but it ends up making for weird combos. I got the Buffalo chicken which was hard to eat and the Barbacoa, which tasted like it came from a MRE. I also got the carnitas, which was actually okay. All of the tacos had lettuce, and way too much on them. I would go back to have a beer or margarita, but would not get the food again. read more

Blackened Shrimp are soooo good, flavors is awesome & one in its own! Chicken Mac Tacos were great in portion & definitely an interesting twist from a traditional taco. I also got the espresso martini & it was boldly delicious! The service was attentive. Very modern & cool little atmosphere overall- loved it! read more

Great little place in downtown Beaufort. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed in and had the choice of seats. The bar staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Super fast service and delicious food! We had the fish tacos and Barbados salad. The great detail that needs to be noted is that if you only want a few tacos you don't need a full plate. Very helpful for those looking to watch their weight or shed a few pounds. Highly recommend anytime I'm downtown. read more

Saw this place while down over Memorial Day and although it wasn't open yet we were intrigued. It was our first stop on our next visit and didn't disappoint. This is what Downtown needs....something fresh and different. We had lunch, blackened shrimp, blackened fish and chicken Mac tacos. The shrimp was by far our fave. The chicken Mac was pretty sweet and the fish ok but we've had better. A delicious slice of key lime pie ended the meal perfectly. Seriously...go now and get the blackened shrimp taco!! read more

My bartender name is, Ashley. She offered sincere conversation, great customer service and above all ahe makes a "Mean" drink. The bar had drink specials nighly. To my surprise one of my favorite drinks (Crown Royal) became a special cocktail during my stay. My entire stay at the hotel was successful because of the customer service that I received from the front desk attendant KaDemia, and the best bartender, Ashley! I only dined in a few times and the chicken wings were delicious. The cook will fry them hard on request!

The fries that came along with it were a somewhat thinner variety which I liked. Service was friendly and quick, which is just what I needed for a quick lunch. While it won't win any awards, Bricks on Boundary is a solid option for a decent meal in Beaufort.

I think it would be worth revamping their offerings a bit but absolutely a cool spot and I'd go again!

The guys behind the bar are friendly, the drinks are made well and most importantly - the tacos are incredible. The portions are fair and the flavors are always on point.
