Queso? Great! Nachos? Great! Tacos? Great! Fried pickles? Great! But objectively the best part of all this was the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and our server was absolutely hilarious! My friend decided they wanted to see how many sweet teas they could drink and the server was more than happy to play along and at one point brought a backup glass of tea. The ambience was lovely, the music was light and positive and it's in the loveliest spot!

Food was just okay. Tortillas were thick and dry. Taco fillings didn't pack a punch for flavor. Music and overall volume level was loud. Waitress didn't give us any cutlery or napkins until we asked. Water's ran dry a few times. Food items were forgotten a few times. I had to go up to the bar to ask for napkins. Our party enjoyed the ghost pepper nachos. Pork belly taco was the most-liked item out of everyone in the group.

If you come down here, make sure Jeff is bartending. He is one of the best ask him to make you a spicy margarita with his special sauce. You will absolutely fall in love and be addicted. We also had the local shrimp and muscles phenomenal.

Lost Local is always my first stop when I arrive in Beaufort! I love the vibe and decor. The servers are always really nice and attentive. Every one I've had has answered questions about food and offered great recommendations on what to order. If you're going to get a taco... it has to be the Deep South Gullah. Unreal! The Pork Belly is a close second. This trip we also tried the peel 'n eat shrimp for an appetizer. Better than any seafood restaurant and honestly the best we've ever had. For dessert we ordered key lime pie.. another solid choice. Although, my absolute favorite item to order is the spicy jalapeño margarita - it definitely brings the heat. Great stop as usual!

10/10 recommend. My wife and I came for lunch, while Christmas shopping and glad we chose Lost Local. The food was full of flavor and fresh, the service was spot on. If you're trying to figure out where to go, you've found the right spot.

Such a cute little restaurant but it was very loud and hard to hear. When we first went in we were seated at a table. We waited and waited and waited. About 10 min had passed and no one had spoken to us, we were not able to flag anyone down. It was crazy. We moved to the bar where we got amazing service ASAP. The bartender even commented on how that was a good idea. The drinks were soooooooo good. The bartender was super nice and inviting. I would go again but only if I sit at the bar so I can actually get service.

Were these the best tacos I've ever had? YUP. Were my eyes way bigger than my stomach, also yes. Our waiter said most people get 3, I thought for sure I'd still be hungry but OH MY GOD. These tacos were stuffed!! I had the Gullah, pork belly and fried green tomato. They were all so good but the fried green tomato was my favorite! Everything was so fresh, so hot, so yummy!! I had the black diamond marg, very good and very strong!

While in Beaufort, I wanted to try this place again. It's simple food that is done well! And simple is intended as a compliment! The service is great and the atmosphere fun . Their basic margarita is only $10!!!! And it's house made and delicious. Each flavor of their food somehow stands out and yet is cohesive. We really like this place.

A must - best place in the low country without attitude. Service is better than any other place twice the price. Great energy level a MUST!

Love this little place. Food was great and service was on point. Waitress was attentive. Nice little restaurant/bar on a nice strip of town. We did a "pay to park" lot a couple of blocks away. Not a bad walk.

I wouldn't say this place is "tucked away" in downtown Beaufort...I think "nestled" in the middle of downtown is a better way to say it. This weekend is the Beaufort water festival and we came early to grab lunch before going to the park. Kat had lunch here yesterday and wanted to bring me so here we are. The building is quite old but clean and offers a nice vibe. We both had the same tacos, the buffalo chicken and the southern Gullah, both of which were very fresh, tasty and the flavors were very well balanced. Now, these are $6 dollar tacos we're talking about, but two is plenty making for a $12 lunch per person which isn't bad in 2024. I wasn't going to have alcohol with lunch but I will say they have a pretty wide signature cocktail menu, so we'll have to come back one evening soon. I'll give this 5/5, I really liked it.

I had such a great experience here, first time dining with them! The food was great, I had the farm to taco tacos (fake meat) and their peel n eat shrimp. The service was great, friendly, and on time with everything. Aside from the great food and drinks, the interior is too cute!!!! I absolutely adore this cozy little bar in downtown Beaufort! They have the BEST tacos! They aren't just ordinary tacos, they had a cool twist. Great spot! We were lucky enough to stumble upon this little gem and had a fantastic lunch for 3 kiddos and 6 adults. All of our tacos and appetizers were spot on. Great drink menu as well. Service was great and post Covid that has been hard to find. Highly recommend! read more

Suggested by a local, the crab chowder was very good. Maybe too spicy for lightweights but perfect for us. Boom Boom shrimp was good. Shrimp tacos were good but not exceptional. Server had just the right amount speed and personality. read more

Had Jamaican tacos. Real chicken breast cut in chunks but very dry. Not a lot of pineapple or even flavor of pineapple. Service was excellent. Decibel level unacceptable. Loud background music, brick walls and high ceiling are the culprits. read more

The vanilla infused margarita was amazing. Unfortunately our food did not live up to the drinks. The crab soup was bland with a very cakey texture. Shrimp tacos would have been great if not so salty and the waitress stated the shrimp was not local. Pork chewy but otherwise flavor was good. So close but not quiet there for us. read more

Six of us were visiting Greenville over the weekend from Charleston and Somerville. We had brunch at lost Cajun, and were totally impressed with every aspect from food to service. Decided to pop in for lunch today with my wife. The place is welcoming with great decor and lots of space. Owners and bartenders are great, super friendly. Now, the food. I tried the Southern Gullah taco- bbq, collards, mac and cheese, bacon jam. Wow, had to order another one, great mix of flavors. Wife had fish tacos. Straight forward and fresh. This is going to be a big hit in town. We're already locals so we left, well, just glad to have a new local bar which will become a regular go-to spot for sure! read more

We got the opportunity to order take out here for their opening day! So obviously we ordered all of their tacos. Anything with blackened meat was my favorite (shrimp or chicken Mac) also the Gullah one was so unique. I mean this place puts macaroni and cheese IN the taco! All the drinks looked so good. Regret not eating in the restaurant but still trying to be socially distant. There's no place like this in Beaufort. My husband coming from San Diego we've eaten a lot of fish tacos. And these definitely have a fun variation. They are smaller. So three per person is probably a pretty size able portion. read more

We were excited when reading the reviews and were really hungry so we chose the first restaurant we saw with 4.5 stars. We ordered 4 tacos between the two of us as well as a queso dip. The chips with the queso dip were stale but the dip was pretty good. The green tomato tacos were the best followed by the Buffalo chicken tacos. The meat on carnita tacos was so dry I couldn't eat it. The fish tacos were ok but nothing special. Server was great though. Food very mediocre. read more

Discovered this new spot while in town Memorial Day even though it wasn't open yet. It was our first stop our next visit. We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly but a bit stiff. Husband and I both got street tacos- blackened fish, the BBQ Mac and blackened shrimp. Fish was decent, BBQ mac was very sweet which my husband liked but I didn't care for....but man oh man we both agreed the shrimp were excellent!! Don't miss them! Good selection of craft beer and cocktails. We want to be locals!! read more

After walking around Beaufort, we were seeking a nice spot to have a drink and relax. Lost Local was just the spot on a cool October afternoon. The bartender was an enthusiastic and welcoming host. I recently visited this restaurant and bar and can honestly state that both the quality of food and the friendly staff make the experience above expectations !! We tried a variety of dishes all of which had exceptional flavors. The bar has a great selection of beers (mostly local), mixed drinks and wines that are fairly priced and not commonly known. For those that like IPA's, you won't be disappointed. Truly recommend stopping by and giving yourself a treat for great food and drinks. Very friendly staff providing great service. My entire stay at the hotel was successful because of the customer service that I received from the front desk attendant KaDemia, and the best bartender, Ashley! While it won't win any awards, Bricks on Boundary is a solid option for a decent meal in Beaufort.

Very cool dive feel when you walk in, with the bar and pool table, money hanging from the walls. But as you walk to the back it opens up to the water with a beautiful backdrop of the lagoon. Very very cool. With the outside bar and live music, it's pretty neat. I really enjoyed myself here. Service was prompt, and friendly. I was greeted from the moment I walked in. I like that. We ordered some food (we were starving) and I want to give the cooks a compliment on the chicken caesar wrap, it was surprisingly very well made. I wasn't expecting much but great job! We both opted for something quick and went for a fried shrimp basket and fried flounder for me the shrimp was pretty good well seasoned and well battered the cocktail sauce was amazing and very horseradish forward, which is my preference unfortunately the batter on the fish fell off and the fish itself didn't seem seasoned so the flavor was lacking. I think it would be worth revamping their offerings a bit but absolutely a cool spot and I'd go again!

I keep meaning to eat at other restaurants, but any time I'm on bay street I'm making a bee line to Lost Local. The guys behind the bar are friendly, the drinks are made well and most importantly - the tacos are incredible. The portions are fair and the flavors are always on point.
