Another view of my lunch of "Fish and Chips," which gives you a good idea of the chips, which are truly unique.
    Eric R.

Lost Shaker Bar and Grill is Lincoln's lastest "meet and greet" dive bar, having taken over this past January from the iconic Dillian's Bar and Grill, which achieved legendary status during it's 20-year run from the Lincoln locals. The owners of Lost Shaker Bar and Grill are carrying forward into 2025 and beyond with Dillian's legacy, with a few minor tweaks to make their bar unique in Lincoln, CA. The dining room offers table seating at high, bar-like tables, along with seating at the bar. The dining exhibits a sports bar-like atmosphere, thanks to the many video monitors, which were showing golf and a major league baseball game in progress. It offers ample comfortable seating with many options, thanks to the high tables. Since I "opened up" the restaurant, I had the dining room all to myself for the first 15 minutes or so until customers began trickling in. The seating is very flexible, as a large party moved two tables together to seat the entire group. From the "Entrees" section of the menu, I went with "Fish and Chips," which is truly one of my favorite dishes. My heart - along with my taste buds - were torn between "Fish and Chips" and the "Shaker's Classic Cheeseburger," but "Fish and Chips" carried the day. The menu describes this delicious entree as, "Hand-battered cod deep fried to a golden brown and served with fries, coleslaw and our house made tartar sauce." I describe Shaker's version of "Fish and Chips" as delicious. The fried cod was quite different than what is served at most restaurants, as I wouldn't exactly call it "battered," as per the menu, as it seemed to be lightly battered, coated with seasoned bread crumbs, and deep fried to a perfect, beautiful medium golden brown. I was truly surprised at the presentation, as each piece was nearly identical, nearly the same size, and shaped perfectly. Yes, I'm used to very irregular pieces of fish, heavily battered, and these pieces of cod were a change of pace, and something out of the ordinary. The chips were quite unique as well, in fact, I've never seen chips like these during my long dining career. Each chip was fairly thin, and flattened out, with a curve of varying degree, along with a pointed end. The chips were deep fried to a semi crispy light medium golden brown on the outside, but tender, white and chewy on the outside. The chips were sort of a cross between a potato chip and your typical commonly-served "chip," which is a "steak fry" by a different name. Like the "Fish and Chips," the coleslaw was different, as it was made mostly of purple cabbage, shredded on the chunky side, with a few pieces of white cabbage added for taste and presentation. The coleslaw was tossed in a mayonnaise and vinegar dressing, and despite the exotic, yet beautiful look and texture, tasted like... well... coleslaw. I loved it! My delicious lunch was rounded out by a couple lemon slices, along with a cup of house-made tartar sauce, along with a cup of ketchup. A bottle of malt vinegar was brought to the table by my server, which added a nice "pub" touch to my meal. One bite into the delicious fish, and I was a true believer, and I was rewarded with a satisfying "crunch," thanks to the crispy breadcrumbs. The batter was crispy, flavorful and delicious, which made a perfect coating for the moist, juicy, tender white fish meat. The combination of crispy batter and tender fish - in the right ratio - make for a delicious piece of fish, and talented chef Jake "nailed" the fish. The fish was standalone delicious, but I simply couldn't help dipping a bite of fish into the cup of tartar sauce, while enjoying the next bite with a dash of the malt vinegar. The chips were solidly good, but not spectacular, as I prefer my chips more as "steak fries" ... but that's simply my opinion. The chips worked well with the fish, and made a great side dish. I squeezed the lemons on my coleslaw... yes, I know they were meant for the fish, but I happen to like lemon or lime juice on my coleslaw. Despite the bold and beautiful appearance, the coleslaw was simply delicious coleslaw and I enjoyed every bite! The "Fish and Chips," along with the coleslaw were truly delicious, unique and not something that you will see at every restaurant and roadside diner. I truly enjoyed my amazing lunch! I truly enjoyed my delicious lunch of "Fish and Chips," the 805 beer I enjoyed for dessert... or was it my appetiser? ... along with the friendly rock star service provided by Karen. The "comfort food" served at Lost Shaker Bar and Grill is simply delicious, the atmosphere reflects the friendly, local hangout the bar is, and the service is friendly and top shelf. You'll enjoy all of the good times friendly downtown Lincoln has to offer at Lost Shaker Bar and Grill, located in downtown Lincoln, CA.

Wow I am really sad having to write this review. Normally when I come here for a girls night we get great service, well not tonight. I am absolutely shocked on how bad the service was. Do not get me wrong when we first showed up the bar was full, but the crap service was ongoing throughout the night. But let's see where should we start 1. The female bartender completely ignored us for a good 5 minutes and helped multiple people that came to the bar after us. Guess I didn't have the right parts for her to pay attention to me. 2. They forgot our order not once but twice. Once for our drink order and second for our food order that took over an hour to get and when it was ready WE yes WE went and got it from the window. 3. The security guard sitting at the front door was literally on his phone more than anything. He let multiple people in without carding them, well if they were ladies. If you were a man you got carded. He let multiple over served women in that definitely did not need to be there. But don't worry one left their phone in the toilet and the bartenders were still serving them. 4. The bartenders served us a glass of that was broken, sharp as hell I can add. Come on Lost Shaker get your crap together.

Is there a drink menu ? Is the food menu same as the last owner ? Thanks

The menu is pretty close. They made some small changes like adding potstickers and a couple other things. They rename some dishes but overall it's the same menu. There is…

Dive Bar somehow pulls off the impossible: it's a neighborhood hangout, a tourist attraction, a…read moredance floor, and a people-watching safari all at once. If you've read some of the one-star reviews, you'll notice a recurring theme: people are deeply offended that a bar contains loud music, dancing, crowds, and occasionally someone who has enjoyed the concept of "happy hour" a little too enthusiastically. That's a bit like giving the ocean one star because it's wet. What really makes Dive Bar special is the staff. After spending enough time there, I've gotten to know almost everyone by name--including the security crew. They are exactly what great security should be: friendly, welcoming, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone has a good time. And when someone decides the evening should revolve around them instead of the other hundred people trying to enjoy themselves, they handle it firmly, calmly, and without drama. Keeping a place fun sometimes means escorting an asshole to the exit, and they do it with remarkable professionalism. The bartenders keep things moving even when it's packed. The servers somehow manage to stay upbeat in the middle of controlled chaos. Everyone seems to understand that hospitality isn't just about serving drinks--it's about creating an atmosphere where strangers can relax, laugh, dance, and forget the outside world for a while. Dive Bar also captures something uniquely Sacramento. It's a little weird, a little flashy, wonderfully unpretentious, and right in the heart of K Street. You never know who you'll meet or what conversation you'll stumble into. College students, professionals, tourists, retirees, regulars--everyone mixes together because everyone is there for the same reason: to have fun. If you're looking for a quiet library, this isn't it. If you're looking for one of the liveliest places in Sacramento to dance, be silly, celebrate life, and remember that adults are allowed to have fun, Dive Bar absolutely delivers.

I was tasked with finding a location in the Rocklin area to host a memorial gathering. Since I…read moredon't live nearby, I turned to Yelp and started calling places close to the mortuary where our family would be gathering. Pain Killers was the third place on my list. My first call went unanswered, and there wasn't an answering service. On my second call, I was able to leave a voicemail. When I called Pain Killers, a kind woman answered within two rings. I explained that I was looking for a venue to host a memorial gathering. She let me know that the person who could best assist me wasn't available but offered to take my number and have them return my call. Within 30 minutes, Austin called me back. We discussed what we were looking for, and as you can imagine, it's not an easy conversation to have with someone you've never met. From the very beginning, Austin's kindness and compassion stood out. His exact words were, "We want to be here for you during this difficult time." Those weren't just words--I could genuinely feel his sincerity, not only during that phone call but in every text message we exchanged over the following week. Each time I reached out, I'd say, "Ok, Austin, last question," only to think of another one shortly afterward. No matter how many times I contacted him, he remained patient, understanding, and accommodating. He answered every question, responded promptly, and never once made me feel like I was asking too much. In the end, it was decided to keep the entire day's gathering at a church rather than the mortuary, so we didn't end up going to Pain Killers. Even so, I wanted to recognize Austin for the exceptional level of customer service and genuine compassion he showed during one of the most difficult times. The next time I'm in the Rocklin area, I plan to stop by, say hello to Austin, and make sure to give Pain Killers some well-deserved business. Thank you, Austin, for reminding me that kindness and empathy still go a long way.
