$5 everything?! Ok! This is a cool speakeasy with a great vibe. Get the Lincoln Continental, it's a must! My wife and I had a great date night here!

    Cool sign.

So cute. I love a good Speakeasy...although this one has signs to get there. It's clean, cute and the bartender was nice. We ate some cheese curds. Mmm.

Fun birthday celebration where laughs happened!!

Great spot for drinks after dinner. Very cozy seating. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere to meet up & hang out awhile!!

The focus is around the long bar.

Lincoln Speakeasy Taproom is a restaurant that offers 1924 nostalgia combined with 2024 amenities, friendly service, a full-service bar and amazing pub cuisine. As you enter the "460" center address of the building, a sign points you to the second floor, where the restaurant is located. "Lincoln Brand Feeds" is a historic warehouse that has been converted to a multi-purpose mall and adds to the charm of downtown Lincoln. The restaurant/bar opens at noon on Friday through Sunday, it's closed on Monday and Tuesday and opens at four on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. The focus is around the long bar, with 21 stools - I think I counted correctly - and offers beer on tap, wine and any mixed drink you can imagine, along with "house special" drinks. Ask your bartender or check the drink menu. Besides bar stools, tables and chairs, the bar/dining room also offers "speakeasy" type seating, with couches and padded chairs, all centered around low tables, which make for the perfect gathering spot for a group of friends. The bar/dining room is separated by a partition from another room, that includes tables, chairs, pool tables and a small stage, as live music happens often at this fine restaurant/bar. From the "Big Plates" section of the menu, I went with "The Mobster," along with "Onion Rings" as my side of choice. Unlike many restaurants, you can choose between onion rings or fries - as your side dish - or, for an nominal additional charge, you can upgrade your side to premium options. It was a pleasure to enjoy an order of onion rings at no extra charge! The burger was so large that it had to be held together with a large toothpick, complete with small onion rings on top, that added to the stunning presentation. The menu describes "The Mobster" as, "This monster burger has two Angus beef patties, topped with pastrami, Swiss and provolone cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and housemade sauce." My description in a single word: Delicious. The burger was quite complex, as it was assembled in layers of veggies, grilled onions, cheese, and a generous slab of grilled pastrami, which added a unique, smoky flavor to this delicious burger. The burger began with two large - a quarter pound each - tender, premium Angus beef patties, cooked to medium, full of taste and very juicy. The patties were separated by a layer of thin, grilled onions and cheese, and topped with the slab of pastrami, sliced, fresh red onion, lettuce, tomato along with more melted cheese. The meat, cheese and veggies were sandwiched between the amazingly fresh, toasted brioche bun, which was lightly buttered, and coated with the "housemade sauce," which had a truly "old school" taste and topped off this delicious burger. Before biting into "The Mobster," I had to remove the toothpick, and since the burger was so HUGE, I could only bite into a little bit of it at a time, but "one small bite at a time," simply made the experience more enjoyable! With each small bite, I was rewarded with a burger sensation, as the bun, meat, cheese and veggies all worked together to create a taste sensation. The juicy Angus beef, the smoky pastrami, the mild Swiss and slightly tangy provolone, the grilled onions and the fresh veggies... imagine it all in one bite! "The Mobster" truly ranks as one of the best burgers in Placer County! The "Onion Rings" made for a truly delicious side, and made for a welcome break from the usual side of fries. They were cut from sweet, juicy white onion, battered, and deep fried to a beautiful golden brown. The batter was deep fried perfectly, slightly crispy, with a rich, robust taste, and it really complimented the sweet onion. I noted the onion to batter ratio was spot-on, which is important for a superior onion ring. Like the burger, these onion rings were superb. A small cup of ranch dressing was provided for dipping, but was simply an enhancement, as the onion rings were standalone delicious. "The Mobster Burger," along with the side of "Onion Rings" made for a simply delicious lunch! This fine burger heads the "Big Plates" section of the menu and is the top selling selection on the menu. After enjoying this delicious burger, I can see why it's so popular, and a favorite of Lincoln locals, and all "foodies" who appreciate a superior burger. How many ways can you say "Five Star Dining?"

    Late night crowd. Mellow....

Great late night spot for food and drink, Service was good, thanks to Claire. Smash burger ( new to the menu) was terrific and trumped the In-n-out I had for lunch. Ambience great, tho music a bit loud Located on 2nd floor down town Recommended

This is a cute addition to downtown Lincoln. We went on a Saturday night and it was about half full. They had the baseball game on TV and live music from a local artist. The gals were the bar were attentive to everybody and brought our drinks and food in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered 6 appetizers and all were great, the table favorite was definitely the cauliflower bites! We ordered a few different drinks, all came in cute glasses and tasted great. I love that they have board and card games. It was a nice experience and we'll definitely be back

If I could give 0 stars I would, locked in the restroom for an hour. Manager Claire said she would just comp my bill and did not appreciate my attitude, after I got locked in the restroom for over an hour. No reach out or apologies

Went in to watch SNF, loved the bartender Carl, he made the best Raspberry Lemon Drop and seasonal Carmel Apple Shot!

    The bar.

A bit hard to find but I guess it makes sense because it's a "speakeasy". Very cool vibes. Everyone was chill. The food and drinks were all great. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. No complaints. Will return.

Who doesn't love the idea of a speakeasy?? We decided to head to Roseville in pursuit of a secret place. We found the secret door, knocked, and a young man answered. He asked for the password. Unfortunately I am not on social media and that's where you're supposed to find it. Bummer! I decided to use my own password. It worked and we entered the inner sanctum. It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well. Give it a shot. Find the password, or use your own if you dare!

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

The space is small and intimate with serious speakeasy vibes that remind me of some of the cocktail bars in San Francisco. The drink presentations are gorgeous, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into both the flavor and how everything looks when it arrives at the table. They have a great selection of gin, rum, champagne, and whiskey, and I often lean on the staff for drink suggestions because they're really good at recommending something you might not normally order. A few times now they've pointed me toward a drink that ended up being a hidden gem. I've been here a few times and it's always a great time whether you're catching up with friends or doing a date night. The food is also surprisingly good and pairs well with the cocktails. It is definitely on the pricier side, but that's part of the experience. Also, because the space is small and intimate, reservations fill up quickly and they do require a deposit, which goes toward your final bill. Helpful tip: make a reservation ahead of time and don't be afraid to ask the staff for drink recommendations -- they're excellent at guiding you to something special. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

We arrived with a 7:15 reservation, and our table wasn't ready for about 15 minutes. Since we needed to leave by 8:40 we asked before being seated whether there would be enough time to dine, and we were assured there would be. Once seated, we were again told timing would be fine as long as we ordered immediately, which we did. However, there was apparently a shortage of clean silverware available for about 20 minutes, and we didn't receive water until roughly 25 minutes after sitting down. We were also never served bread. We ordered beer and wine at the same time as our food order, shortly after being seated, but by 8:30 we still had not received drinks or any food. Concerned about making it home on time, we asked for the bill and our meals to be packed to go, but the food never arrived. The waiter eventually came to our table and ripped up the receipt. We ultimately left at 8:40 without ever receiving dinner or the drinks we ordered at the beginning of the meal. Many nearby tables appeared to be having similar experiences, and staff were managing multiple frustrated guests, along with tables that had not been served food or drinks, or orders that came out incorrectly. Again, the issue did not seem to be the waitstaff themselves, but the overall extreme delay in getting any drinks and food, which should not take over an hour. It seems they were underprepared and understaffed. I would not recommend for dinner or for any special occasions.

Sadly she never introduced herself so I can't give her the kudos she deserves. Started out with warm bread and garlicky soft butter. They serve it with the knife stabbed through the center of the bread - by the time you pull the big knife out, there is not much center left to spread the butter on. I figured out how to slather it in butter anyways. The garlic butter is something I could eat on everything! Dinner: We arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday. There were plenty of people there, but we were able to be seated right away. We ordered the pollo piccata - it was delicious, the sauce was creamy, the perfect amount of lemony, and the capers weren't too salty. The creamy potatoes were great and the veggies cooked perfectly. The balsamic ribeye - eh not our thing. Mid at best for us. It was tender, but it had so much liquid it didn't have much flavor and tasted like it was boiled. The casual yet cozy atmosphere prompts fun conversation. There's a nice old world ambiance about it. Perusing the menus we first chose a carafe of wine, a Barbera. Having it before here we find it hearty and bold. For the table we shared a house salad which was fresh and well made. There was plenty for four of us. Tasty bread was brought to the table along with oil/vinegar and herbs on a plate. My main course selection was the Maccheroni e Formaggio, spiral pasta (macaroni) with a rich sauce, lots of cheese and breadcrumbs. I got it with meatballs which I highly recommend. The dish was delicious and very filling. For dessert I chose the cannoli which has been my favorite. Unfortunately, this time it tasted dry and the middle of the shell was hard as a rock. The ravioli didn't taste very fresh and was actually hard to eat, which was surprising. That's usually my go-to at Italian restaurants. The margherita pizza was just okay... nothing special at all. It felt pretty basic and didn't really stand out. The restaurant was good and nice. But overall, it just wasn't the best Italian experience, and I don't see myself going back.
