It's a little far from where I live, but it's worth the drive. It's located in a remote area. Decent size parking lot. Good drinks and good vibes. There's a small stage and small dancefloor. They do line dancing on certain nights.

Subject to change obviously, but this is the way the week was laid out when I dropped by.

I've been driving by this bar for years! I finally had a reason to drop by for lunch and glad I did. The interior is nice - gave me a comfortable feeling right away. The bartender was friendly. I didn't have any drinks this time, mainly wanted to try out their food (hungry!) The menu was solid. I saw several items I considered ordering, but the Tri-Tip salad was the one I zeroed in on. It was excellent! There was a very generous portion of tri-tip... nice and tender, great smoked flavor... yum! The whole salad was great - nice fresh lettuce and veggies - dressing was on point (I chose blue cheese). I absolutely would order again... but I also want to try a few other things on the menu as well. After eating, I wandered around a bit - they have a couple pool tables and there's really quite a bit of room inside. I'm looking forward to dropping by at night sometime to see what the nightlife is like. I'll definitely be back.

This place is always happening with lots of live music and great service. It can get busy at times, but the bartenders are always on task. They do have food and the drinks are pretty reasonably priced. Also, they have a nice parking lot for cars and motorcycles and outdoor area to relax. Everyone is friendly and just love this place.

Took my special lady friend for cold brew and tacos. Wow, really nice 1950s style club with stage and dance floor. I thought this place has huge potential. Then I spoke to the gal serving beer. Zero charm. Offered to bring in my band Double 00 in for a weekend to bring some vibe to the place. That's when I learned the owner has no interest in bring good vibes. Just wants to sell overpriced beer and the world's worst tacos. You can't make this up. The Valencia Club is boring.

A Hidden Gem Worth Finding!…read more My wife and I recently took a little lunch field trip to Penryn Grill, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, the hostess made us feel welcome. She did a fabulous job greeting us, making recommendations, and helping us navigate the menu. Our waitress was equally impressive--friendly, efficient, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout our visit. At first glance, some people might overlook Penryn Grill. It's tucked away next to a service station, and many might assume it's just another roadside dive with average food. Nothing could be further from the truth. This place serves high-quality food with outstanding service and a relaxed atmosphere. Following the hostess's recommendations, my wife and I decided to share several of the restaurant's most popular items so we could sample a little bit of everything. The shrimp tacos were absolutely fantastic and completely lived up to the hype. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, they were easily one of the highlights of our meal. Next came the fried pickles, which were our way of testing the waters. They had a crunch similar to fried zucchini but with even more flavor. Add a little ranch dressing and you're in business. Crispy, slightly spicy, and packed with flavor, they hit the palate with a bang. We also ordered the Penryn Burger, made with a delicious short-rib patty and all the fixings. It was juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Another home run. The outdoor patio provided a great setting for lunch, complete with good music and a relaxed atmosphere. It made for an enjoyable afternoon and a memorable dining experience. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and we will definitely be back. One final insider tip for my fellow retired folks: Friday afternoons between 2:00 and 4:00 seem to be a great time to stop in. We've heard the fish and chips and chowder are local favorites, and they'll be at the top of our list the next time we visit. Penryn Grill is proof that you should never judge a restaurant by its location. This hidden gem is absolutely worth the stop!

The beer selection and service are fine. When in the establishment, it is easy to forget it is attached to a gas station. Outdoor seating with nice fireplaces are available but this time, it was too hot for me. I will likely return to try out other menu items.

After being floored by the gorgeous flowers and plants in the nursery, we stumbled upon the café. We were greeted promptly, seated quickly, and enjoyed their beautiful outdoor patio. When we arrived, we were seated quickly with no reservation and no wait, which was the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. Our server introduced himself, but communication was difficult throughout the meal. We ordered drinks and asked for a few minutes to review the menu. When we asked what the soup of the day was, he initially told us clam chowder, then immediately said he needed to go find out. More than 10 minutes later, he returned, and when we asked again, he admitted he had forgotten and left once more. After another lengthy wait, he finally informed us the soup of the day was split pea. We then attempted to order a pizza and were told that pizzas could not be ordered until 10:30 a.m. At the time, it was only around 9:30 a.m. I decided to order the Peach & Prosciutto Flatbread appetizer instead, only to be told that couldn't be ordered either because it was made in the oven. None of this was communicated when we were first seated, nor was it noted on the menu. It makes little sense to open at 9:00 a.m. while offering guests a menu containing multiple items that aren't actually available for another hour and a half. Had this been clearly explained from the beginning, it would have saved a great deal of frustration. By this point, I was hot, irritated, and no longer interested in ordering food. Had we not already received our drinks, I likely would have left. The other members of our party ordered the $21 breakfast burrito and the $25 smoked prime rib sandwich. Both were extremely mediocre for the price. The burrito was wrapped in a corn tortilla rather than a flour tortilla, had already come unrolled, and quickly became a messy, difficult to eat disaster. The prime rib sandwich was served on very dry bread and lacked flavor. Neither dish justified the premium pricing. The dining environment was equally disappointing, there were flies everywhere. We spent much of the meal swatting flies away from our food and ourselves, making it nearly impossible to relax or enjoy the experience. Management should seriously consider addressing this issue with proper fly traps or Quikstrike. After our food arrived, our server never returned to check on us, ask how the meal was, or offer water refills. When the bill was finally brought out, we waited another 10+ minutes before he returned to process payment. By then, we simply wanted to leave. What was most noticeable was how many people were waiting for tables while service moved at an incredibly slow pace. Faster, more attentive service would have allowed tables to turn over more efficiently and reduced wait times for other guests. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had here. Between the poor communication, lack of attentiveness, unavailable menu items, mediocre food, uncomfortable dining conditions, and excessive wait times, the value simply isn't there anymore. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed. The service we received warranted a $0 tip, and for the first time, we're questioning whether we'll ever return.

So finally, on my way to Auburn last Saturday, I had time to stop and try some of their amazing food. I was greeted as I walked into this quaint mini market. Everyone was friendly and talking to me. It has been family owned for decades and they made me feel so comfortable, but I was not there to shop around. I was there to try the food goods created by the smoker and whoever does this delicious array of foods. There were many options to choose from in their heated display case. Burgers, breakfast burritos, brisket sandwiches, ribs... I think there were a couple more options, but I couldn't decide on one. So I went with some smoked pork ribs and a brisket sandwich. It was $28 & change. It felt a little on the expensive side for 4 ribs and a sandwich. However... it was damn delicious!! When I got home, I did add a little salt, pepper, & mayo in the brisket sandwich... and then for me, it was fire! The smoked pork ribs were soooo goooood with the dry rub that was on them. Tender and juicy ribs... mmmm! I'm not sure if sauced ones were available, but I really liked these the way they were. I look forward to coming back here to try the other lunch & breakfast items... as well as chatting with everyone that works here!!! I'll be sure to capture more photos next visit!
