Green Bay Animal Hospital - Someone isn't thrilled to be here for her annual physical

I had been a client here for more than five years. So I was sad to switch to a different practice…read more But not that sad. When one of my cats got sick, they tried to upsell me, pushing a pointless and pricey phone consultation. After I refused, they ghosted me, essentially holding hostage the testing and medicine needed by my cat, who was by then vomiting and having diarrhea left and right. How is that what's best for the patient? Seemed like they were just focused on boosting their bottom line. If that weren't bad enough, while I was busy *paying them* after what would be my last appointment there, the receptionist made a rude comment to my face. She followed it up by asking in a critical tone why I'd adopted a third animal. This because I sometimes had to reschedule appointments due to work conflicts. I guess they're only looking for a certain type of client here. Like the guy who came into the waiting room to pick up his dog and bellowed at the female vet with a pixie cut, "I'm NOT going to have to call you THEY/THEM, am I?" Apparently that is cool with GBAH, but working full-time to support three rescue animals is not. I think my wallet and I are going to find a practice that's more simpatico. .

Their only interest is getting money, they don't give a damn about you or your pet. Do your pet and yourself a favor and find another vet. The Laundrymutt - Bleeding scabbing and now a knot of fur from incessant licking

I honestly can not say enough good things about Melissa and her team. Not only are they kind and…read morewonderful people, Melissa is a saint when it comes to caring after your beloved furry guys and gals. I've been following her from store front to store front and I'm glad to see she's finally got a place of her own to call home. If i'm to ever take my two corgis to get groomed, i drive past all the chains and thirty minutes out to make an appointment with The Laundrymutt. Once Melissa and her team are done with my little monsters, they are softer than I've ever felt them before, and whatever shampoos and such they use, smells of utter heaven. I've found myself sticking my face into Kit and Cleo's fur and just breathing them for a few minutes... kinda like when you would smell those dry erase board markers for days on end as a little kid... you know... right? Again, I can not say enough good things about the place. And if you really wanna get your money's worth, make an appointment and then take your dogs out to the dog park for an hour or two before, let them run around, roll in the mud, poop, dead animals, whatever have it. Just enjoy the fresh air and out doors and tire out your pups. When they're all muddy and stinky, take them to The Laundrymutt and wipe your hands clean. A couple of hours later, you'll get back a squeaky clean dog. And, the most important part of doing all that, your dog actually had a less anxious time of being away from you and being at the groomer because it tired it self out, and was able to have a more relaxed time. A tired pup is a happy and care free pup. They've won me over, and the quality of service is unmatched. Think about it in a human example, do you think you'll get a better hair cut in a chain barber shop or salon, or do you think you'll get a better style and hair do at a stand alone salon? Super cuts versus [insert foreign sounding word or name] Salon.

I've had such a mixed bag experience here over the last 4 years. I've had 2 dogs and with my…read morecurrent dog, I've sometimes been super happy with the cut, price, and my dog comes out happy. Other times, I feel like the price is double for no legitimate reason (she does not mat much, and if so, it's on her belly which is always shaved anyway), and my dog comes out with battle wounds. I understand groomers are different, but to not have a consistent experience at a business specializing in grooming is stressful for both me and my dog. To be charged nearly $200 for a 21 lb dog who comes out harmed is not ok. I don't feel confident to trust the experience that would also make my dog anxious about going to the groomers
