I was excited to visit this olive oil shop for the first time after a neighbor served several oils at a baby shower and highly recommended them. My sister won one of their gift sets (2 super cute mini bottles) and didn't want to share so I decided to check out the store for myself. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I felt like my entire visit, the sales lady (Tiffany) followed me so closely around the store that I felt like I was being treated as if I were shoplifting. It made me extremely uncomfortable and took away from what should have been an enjoyable shopping experience. As a first-time customer, I expected to feel welcomed, not watched. The products may be great, but customer service and making people feel comfortable matter just as much. Because of how I was treated, I left without buying anything and took a drive to Roger's Gardens in Newport Beach, had an amazing lunch, and bought a nice gift set for my mother in law, Pretty Woman style. I'm not sure I'll return to Riverside but eventually I may try the Redlands location. read more

Best place for olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting. Service is great - the ladies were very knowledgeable, and you can taste any olive oil and any balsamic vinegar. They offer gift sets. I purchased the Coratina EVOO, the 18yr aged balsamic, and a mini bottle of fig balsamic. I will definitely return and hope to also visit their Redlands location. read more

This is an amazing place to try out unique flavors of olive oils and balsamic before committing to buying a bottle. The staff are so friendly and are interested in finding the perfect product for you. This was my second time here because I had the hummus once and had to come back for more! A wonderful store to experience quality olive oil. They literally own their own olive groves. They harvest and press their extra-virgin olive oil. I take a "shot" of olive oil per day for health. Their medium flavored cold pressed olive oil is delicious. The young woman who helped me took the time to give me so much information on their operation. The store is beautifully appointed. I have been eyeing Lot22 Olive Oil Company's Instagram account and have finally made my way to their olive oil and balsamic tasting room in Riverside. This location is nestled in the charming Canyon Crest Towne Centre off Central and Canyon Crest. The closest landmark retailer is Rite Aid. Upon entering, your eyes will be delighted by all the shiny vessels that contain their handcrafted olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I got to try some unique pairings, such as their Roasted Sesame Oil with Peach White Balsamic Vinegar! It was delicious and it would go great with a summer salad! I did buy a few of their olive oils to give out as gifts and, of course, I saved one for myself! :) Besides olive oil and balsamic vinegar, they also sell other gourmet foods and specialty products. This is such a special boutique and all their products make great gifts! They even wrapped up my purchases in cute rustic wrapping! The exterior pulls you right in. They have two entrances, but utilizes the side as an exit during COVID times. You'll go in through the door closest to the parking lot. Once you enter you're greeted by the staff and hit with a really pleasing aesthetic. There's a whole wall of different types of balsamic vinegars and they offer testers. Really bummed about this experience.. My bff and her husband wouldn't shut up about this place. Telling me how beautiful the interior of the Redlands location is and how sweet and helpful the staff was.. so going while I was in CA was a must. Unfortunately we weren't able to make it to Redlands but found out a new location in riverside opened, so we went immediately! Get there and mentioned we'd like to taste a few things so we can decide what to purchase. "We're not doing tastings right now but let us know if you need any help" was the reply we received. They (the 3-4 ladies working inside) didn't say anything else during our visit until we asked if there was a recommendation when swapping out an oil from a gift set. "Depends on what you like." Ooooook.. I chose one nearby and checked out. Feeling very uncomfortable and honestly as if our presence wasn't wanted we paid and left. I am giving Lot 22 1 star because of the service. Two of my friends told me that this was a great place to get olive oil. I decided to go check them out today. There was one person working on the floor. She was spending an inordinate amount of time with one man while two of us were waiting. She never even acknowledged me. I spent about 10 minutes milling about looking at the variety that they had, which was impressive. There were no prices on anything at all. I finally just left, because I was simply not impressed at all with the service. I tried to call them, but it's impossible to leave a message. The message service that they pay for was full. I had no way of asking the questions I had to either the woman who hadn't even acknowledged me or by calling the store itself. So I called the Redlands store and they answered. I asked the woman who answered about prices, about where they get their oils and balsamic and I got answers. She was very friendly. So I went to Redlands and I purchased my oils and balsamic there. They are very good quality and delicious. But I wouldn't go to the one in Riverside ever again. read more

The staff in Riverside were wonderful and I ended up buying more then I came for because they were so helpful. When I went to Redlands, 2 young girls were there and neither offered help until I asked. No greeting either. This company had my very favorite olive oils and vinegars. Hands downthe best. read more

Just happened to stumble into this shop on our way to grab some lunch. What grabbed my attention is they have a little chalkboard sign that read farmer's market hummus, olive oil, and Balsamic Vinegar. St first read I was like oh that's cool but upon getting closer the store started to look a little more interesting. I saw all the shiny containers and the huge vintage wall and instantly knew this place was not your ordinary shop. We were greeted by Trisha who was SUPER friendly AND knowledgeable on the variety of balsamic vinegars and olive oils they carry. Once you have had GREAT Balsamic Vinegar in your life, you come to know quickly that balsamic vinegar you get at the store is NOT the same and NOTHING you buy at the grocery store will suffice. After tasting a few balsamic vinegars at Lot22, I was just blown away by the quality of their products and brought to my happy place! I was literally dancing to how excited I was at finding this incredible boutique shop. My husband didn't even know how much I liked Balsamic Vinegar and was impressed with all of them. There wasn't one thing we tried that we didn't like so we brought back small bottles of just about everything we tried. We brought back the following: 1) Mango White Balsamic Vinegar...yes you read that correctly! Lol I happen to have water on me and put it in my water and it took my water to a whole other level of yummy goodness! 2) Honey Ginger White Balsamic Vinegar: my husband liked this one and was pleasantly surprised with the taste especially since he loves ginger. We are excited to try this on everything! 3) Watermelon White Balsamic Vinegar: This totally has a sweet watermelon taste to it and we imagine it would go great in tea, water, and on a summer fruit salad. 4) Italian Espresso Balsamic Vinegar: This one was a dark one and had that hint of espresso and can imagine this to be amazing with a dessert or even with a good steak! 5) Chocolate Balsamic Vinegar: WoW!! This was rich and sweet and can't wait to use it the next time we host a dinner party! Plan on putting this on a scoop of some french vanilla gelato with a couple raspberries and a mint leaf with this sexy little balsamic vinegar drizzled on top to bring out all sorts of excitement to our taste buds! Will definitely be following them on social media and will be back back soon to try and take home more of their products! Might even be a good place to throw a small private gathering but will have to contact the owner to get more info and see. In the meantime, THIS will be my new spot to get Christmas gifts! read more

Believe it or not, my 15 year old son introduced me to this place. The owners are lovely and you can taste everything before you buy. I'm addicted to their hummis. It is the best I've ever had! Especially the roasted garlic and red pepper. Even the plain is amazing! I buy at least one tub a week! I adore the truffle salt and white and black truffle oil. Visited Lot 22 with a friend today, and it was such an enjoyable experience! The ladies there are lovely, I'm embarrassed to say I've forgotten their names. They go all out to bring samples and describe each product. Their traditional balsamic is so delicious, I also tried the watermelon white balsamic, so good. I purchased these with a bottle of what one of the ladies described as pretty much a medium intensity olive oil, delicious, almost buttery. The selection here is out of this world. I highly recommend food you visit, and with the holidays not far off, I have many good home cooks on my list that I'll be purchasing gifts for here. With many of us moving toward healthier diets, a particularly good olive oil and balsamic vinegar adds a ton of flavor and health benefits. They also do gift baskets and have beautiful gift bags. I was walking around the Canyon Crest shopping center and walked into this shop. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the kindness person. Trish who works there and makes you feel so welcomed. Trish Talked to me about all the different balsamic vinegars and the olive oils. I sampled a few and left the store buying four bottles and came back the next day to buy four more as gifts for my friends. The balsamic vinegar's and olive oils are like no other. I was kindly given bread at the end of my visit to taste- I had to go buy cheese because you can't have great bread without great cheese!
