On staff was Alexis, who was great! She was warm, welcoming, had great energy and was extremely knowledgeable of the products. She recommended various flavor combinations/ tastings. I ended up buying 3 mini bottles to start off, Tuscan Herb Oil, Rosemary Olive Oil, and Italian Herbs of Naples Balsamic Vinegar. She gave suggestions on how to incorporate them into every day foods, which I've done and they are delicious! A little bit goes a long way. I love the wonderful window displays at the shop. They obviously have an affinity for Dobermans! The shop gives a splash of winery vibes with the chill music and wooden barrels throughout the store. You will find a great variety of artisanal oils here. They also offer a tasty selection of balsamic vinegar. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable on the products offered. They have great suggestions and are always willing to provide sample tasting. They don't have bread with the samples ( like similar Northern California artisanal shops provide). So just bring your own baguette if you can't taste oil and vinegar solo. I bought a set of oil and balsamic vinegar to give as a birthday gift. . My partner gets nervous when I come here. Not only can you pretty much sample a majority of the oils and balsamics, they also have bread and snacks too! Love love love getting their sample size bottles when I'm not 100% sure I want a bigger bottle. Their staff is always super helpful and knowledgeable. I wish they had more house ware to choose from such as serving bottles or dipping sets that came with dipping bowls/serving ware. We stopped by while visiting downtown's Market Morning (this is a fun way to spend a Saturday morning). Lot 22 Olive Oil is more than oil, in fact our first sampling taste was a balsamic vinegar. They have an incredibly amount of flavors and combinations of oils and vinegars. The staff was very eager of help us with our sampling. I can easily see that there is a flavor or flavor combination for everyone. I'll let you decide which flavors work with your special occasion or elevating your normal meals. But I immediately noticed that the oil was lighter and had a purer/cleaner flavor than the oil you'd get in the super markets. This makes for a great carrier of the infused flavors. I really liked that the oils and vinegars come in 3 different sized bottles, you aren't stuck buying a full bottle. They have samples of all of their flavors, so you'll be able to taste them all before you purchase them. Love this place!! I discovered it one day when I was walking around downtown Redlands after brunch, and am so glad I decided to stop in! They have tons of different olive oils, balsamic vinegars and more! So many interesting infusions and flavors of each. I especially love the blood orange olive oil and mango and peach white vinegars. If you're more savory the Sicilian garlic oil is really great. These were all fantastic both for cooking or just as dressing in salads. Such a great new place in Redlands, right on State Street next to Caprice. They have an excellent selection of both local and global olive oil and balsamic vinegars as well as a lot of interesting spices. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and Nina was very helpful in educating me about the different options. I purchased a delicious Peach White Balsamic, the Olive Wood Smoked infused olive oil, and the locally grown classic EVOO (which I'm told the owners produce themselves). We were blessed to experience an olive oil tasting this afternoon as part of a church group. Our host, Zack, was very passionate and excited to teach us about different types of olive oil, olives, how they grow, and what to look for when we buy olive oil. We also tried a lovely aged 18 years balsamic vinegar which had a very deep and intense flavor. When the demonstration was over, we were free to roam through the beautiful showroom with handcrafted tables and try other olive oils and balsamics. I tried a blood orange olive oil which had a distinct and refreshing citrus taste on the palate and also tried a garlic olive oil which had the perfect garlic flavor to it. I tried a few different balsamic vinegars as well... tangerine balsamic with a fantastic citrus pop to it, a mission fig balsamic with an awesome front and center fig flavor, and a serrano honey balsamic with a little sweet heat!!! So many fun and interesting flavors and I will have to return to try (and subsequently buy) more flavors on the near future.
