At first, I was having a difficult time hearing the music, so when a spot closer to the stage opened up, I moved. I later ordered a beer flight, and the bartender was great describing the different beers and checking in with me as I tasted each one. I enjoyed the musician despite the large crowd and the challenge of hearing him over the many conversations. Eventually, the crowd thinned out, and I was able to better enjoy the music. Not to mention the number of kids at this place, now I get it, it was around dinner time it wasn't 9pm however, one of the parties seemed to be a child's birthday party, um what? And why? What an odd place to pick for your sons like 5th birthday (excuse me I am not great at determining ages of snot nosed toddlers nor, do I want them roaming around the brewery I'm at). With all of this being said, the beer was fairly decent and the beef sandwiches were divine. If it was nicer outside, it was still pretty nippy outside and spring hadn't sprung yet, then they have a big patio and outdoor area that could have been utilized. Case in point if your brewery only holds 83 people and you book a 70 person party- number one, just don't. Number two, use business logic and common sense and make it a rule that parties over a certain number have to rent out the space entirely for a private party. And number three, most definitely don't double book your business- heck in this case triple book (with the Saul's pop up bound to bring in a tier of customers you don't normally have) The sour beer was our favorite because, it was only slightly tart and zesty with slight citrus notes, it wasn't too sour and sharp. It was easy to drink which sometimes sour beers are not. I would order this again however, both the IPAS I tried were just okay...the New England one I preferred more, the hop profile was more in line with a slightly piney taste, it was fine.

We came from the airport because our flight was late (big shock). The area nearby was quiet in a slightly deserted way for Thursday. There is an upstairs and downstairs, connected to a Vine Street Chicken place. One could drink/eat upstairs but the Bingo was downstairs. It was quiet for a Thursday, only 9 or 8 tables playing. We sat with our flight and listened to the numbers and patterns. We didn't win anything but it was fun. I got samples of East 71 (Cream Ale); Worth the Climb (Pilsner); Jazzman (Dark Lager) and Hood Saison. I got a full pint of the Jazzman as well. The only food they serve is VIne Street chicken, so we ordered that after the game; we wanted to eat downstairs so my party picked it up and brought it downstairs. There was eventually a bartender downstairs as well. One not great thing was that when we arrived at 7 or so, (we parked nearby) the bar downstairs was not open, so we had to order upstairs and BRING the flight downstairs. No elevator! It was interesting taking a paddle of 4 small glasses of beer down a flight of stairs. I guess after 2 flights we did not want to wait til after Bingo to get beer. The food was very good, the chicken and mac/cheese was great, but the only sauce I liked was the peach Bourbon. Yum! Both bartenders were friendly and helpful, and there were board games and sofas for cool nights, and a nice outdoor patio for sitting outside. There was a cooler of cans to take home, but since we were flying it was best not to risk it. I'd go back later if I return to KC, esp to get a few cans to drink in my room instead of paying stadium prices!

During my recent visits, I repeatedly observed behavior from one of the bartenders that made the environment feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. This man has frequently crossed personal boundaries and generally came across as someone who was more interested in making female patrons uncomfortable than providing good service. Instead of feeling like a place where everyone could relax, the atmosphere felt like a boys' club where inappropriate behavior was tolerated. The biggest disappointment wasn't just the employee's conduct--it was the lack of action or acknowledgement by management that concerns are taken seriously. Instead of addressing complaints, they move to suppress reviews. When an establishment allows and enables behavior that makes customers feel uncomfortable or unsafe, it reflects on the business as a whole. I used to recommend Border Brewing without hesitation, but I can't anymore. There are plenty of breweries in Kansas City where everyone can enjoy themselves without worrying about being subjected to inappropriate comments or an unwelcoming atmosphere.

When the weather is nice, they have their garage doors open! The bartenders are super friendly and welcoming. They always have a great assortment of beers, and I have yet to be disappointed by one. There's always something interesting going on -- like right now they have a peanut butter and jelly seltzer!! You can build your own flight for $20, or you can do their daily variety flight for $15. You can order food from Burn Theory via a QR code on your table, and it is delivered right to you! There is a small parking lot that they share with Double Tap next door, but typically you can find street parking right on Oak St. They are huge soccer fans here! They're always open at weird hours to show soccer games!

A nice place on Main Street, they have a nice variety of house brewed beers, a red and white option for wines, indoor corn hole, and a number of screens to watch the games. But you're coming for the beer, and the beer is really great. Limitless has gone from a location in a light office park to its own standalone building, complete with patio and plenty of space. There are generally half a dozen or more of their own craft brews on tap ranging from IPA through porter/stout. You may have even had some of their flagship beers elsewhere, such as JoCo Juice, a hazy IPA or Rolling in the Deep, a double New England IPA. I myself go for malt over hop, so I find their Marzen to be one of my favorite beers. If they have their Mexican lager on tap, then I also suggest sampling that as well. A flight of four runs you $14-ish and is a great value, as the sample sizes give you plenty of opportunity to really get a feel for their offerings. If you find something you really like, then you can take four-packs home to go in cans. Limitless is open almost every day, at least until 7:00 and when the weather is nice, the patio was a must do. There are frequently people playing a board game or just enjoying the space, and while I don't want this to be just another noisy space, they could do with maybe a TV or two more. But that is just me being picky and since they are in the neighborhood, I like visiting whenever I can.

When asked about trash cans to put trash, she also told me, "trash cans actually create more trash than they hold.". Lady was wound tight. Not to mention having some other older folks in there that just pointed and talk-down on our group all night until we left. Sorry we had some beers and enjoyed live music WITH KIDS. As much as I like the main room and outdoors, I'm not sure the venue can make up for salty people and overpriced beer. Is what it is.
