The brewery is dog friendly so bring your furry friend. The decor inside is very fun and fun for a few photos. This is a perfect place to go if you want to watch a Tottenham Spurs match. They also host a free trivia night on Thursday night. If you get hungry there is also a food truck that will deliver to your table inside the brewery. From the food truck I recommend the nachos. As with everything else in the river market area, parking is limited but they have more parking spaces than most places have in the neighborhood.

Strange Days is definitely an underrated brewery in KC. They have a great spot a little bit outside of City with lots of seating, including a patio. There is a small lot for parking but you can normally find street parking too if needed. The staff have always been nice. The brewery has a large soccer audience and will often open at special times to have watch parties. I'm not a huge soccer fan but I've been to a few watch parties here and they are fun and super packed. I believe at this current time, you can bring dogs inside, but I'd check before just to make sure because policies are always changing. They do have Burn Theory kitchen for food on Wednesday-Sunday. And it's super good if you haven't had it. It pairs great with the beer. You can also bring in food from any of the surrounding restaurants if you prefer. Finally, the beer. They always have a pretty wide variety. They have lagers, IPAs, stouts, sours, and things in between. I tend to gravitate towards the stouts and sours. Those styles always hit the mark for me. I definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't!

These days, almost all breweries are good. Gone are the days of buttery and underfermented beers. You gotta sort them out in new ways. Here's what I look for to set a brewery apart: Free samples (increasingly rare) Friendly, non-pretentious beer-tenders (see above) Awesome lagers This brewery has all of the above, and more! Had some great beer conversations with the man working here, and when I described what I like (hoppy lagers) he didn't look at me like I was insane, he knew exactly what I was talking about and directed me to other breweries in the area with those types of brews on tap. Definitely come here, especially if you're staying in the Power and Light area, it's worth the walk!

The name in itself is enough to pull you in: then you walk into this open are with lots of different seating and chairs. I absolutely love that it's a little mix matched and can fit your different seating desires. The beer pricing is pretty reasonable. I had gone in for the sour they had listed but unfortunately they were out. I do like the plants in the area. Our service was pretty good.

Solid brewery w a bunch of different beer options.

Super friendly brewery. A little off the beaten track at this point. Really good Mexican Lager.

We happened to stop by on a lively Thursday night. The vibes both inside and outside are set up for a great relaxing night with friends. They've got low tops, high tops, outdoor seating and a wicked mural outside. The trivia night they put on during our time there was a ton of fun, with varied questions and a great amount of participation. I appreciated the prizes they gave out as well to winning teams. The service was quick to receive your beer and the team at burn theory were friendly as heck. The beers they offered were unique with a wide range of options. I really enjoyed the blueberry sour they had just come out with. For burn theory (love that they have a food option on weekends), I would recommend their fajita chicken nachos and absolutely sub it out for fries instead. The tortilla chips are good but a bit thick for my liking and don't work with all the flavor options (I personally wasn't a huge fan of the buffalo chicken nachos on chips). I really enjoyed my time here but I will say the prices are just a tad high for both beer and drinks options. Not an every week type of place but I definitely will be back for another trivia night with friends.

This brewery has a good vibe and both indoor and outdoor seating options. The decor is fun and there is lots to see. The beers I tried: Third Street Kolsch (great) Rotzloffel Altbier (great) Why I Oughta Watermelon sour (very good) Blueberry Blasphemy sour (great) Devastation Baltic Porter (very good)

    Sweater Weather

Good beer Hazy IPA (Sweater Weather) and good service. Parking is difficult due to construction, but worth the drive from the Northland.

I really enjoy this brewery. Great beer selection, and knowledgeable staff. They have a large outdoor seating area with picnic tables - great sunny day/summer-time spot. I'm not sure how often they do this, but during our visit they had a food vendor set up, serving some tasty hotdogs!

There's a lot to like abut Strange Days Brewing. The beers are "globally influenced," which means they like to experiment with traditional recipes. I think they do a good job. We all like what we like, and the brewery has a little something for everybody. I like the brewery's dual seating plan. Inside, it's your standard beer hall with tables, chairs and some small couches. Outside, they've transformed their parking lot into a beer garden of sorts, by strategically placing picnic tables and large standing barrels that encourage you to socialize with other beer-loving visitors. They're soccer fans, too. They show all the Sporting Kansas City matches. They're also home base for the local Tottenham Hotspur supporters club.

June 2021 We came here to try out a different brewery while in town for a family wedding. Boy am I glad I tried it out. They had a very nice Hazy IPA. Nicole and I had one before heading back to get dressed for the wedding. Our last day in Kansas before we headed back home. The venue is close to the Sunday market, which I where I went to get food before coming here.

This was my first time visiting this establishment. The staff is very friendly knowledgeable. I was there to watch the comedy show which was awesome!!!' Note: This brewery does not have ANY dark beers so, if that's your thing(which it is mine) this is not a place for dark beer lovers. Based on this I could only give 3 stars. The beers were good just not my favorite

During my recent visits, I repeatedly observed behavior from one of the bartenders that made the environment feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. This man has frequently crossed personal boundaries and generally came across as someone who was more interested in making female patrons uncomfortable than providing good service. Instead of feeling like a place where everyone could relax, the atmosphere felt like a boys' club where inappropriate behavior was tolerated. The biggest disappointment wasn't just the employee's conduct--it was the lack of action or acknowledgement by management that concerns are taken seriously. Instead of addressing complaints, they move to suppress reviews. When an establishment allows and enables behavior that makes customers feel uncomfortable or unsafe, it reflects on the business as a whole. I used to recommend Border Brewing without hesitation, but I can't anymore. There are plenty of breweries in Kansas City where everyone can enjoy themselves without worrying about being subjected to inappropriate comments or an unwelcoming atmosphere.

It was refreshing and very good! There are plenty of tv screens mounted throughout the building and with plenty of World Cup matches being played in different venues, it was easy to watch the different group play that was going on. And lo and behold in the corner there were 3 pinball machines! (I was really loving this place by now.) We had a great time playing them. The space feels relaxed and approachable without trying too hard. Big open taproom, easy atmosphere, good energy. Friendly greeting the second I walked in, super knowledgeable about every beer on tap, and genuinely helpful without making anything feel scripted or sales-y. Hospitality matters to me a lot, and she made the experience feel welcoming immediately. I worked my way through quite a few beers: Hop Cuddle, the collaboration with Tall Trellis, their Mexican-style lager, Weathered Wit, Pavers Porter, and the rice lager. Every single one was excellent, but that rice lager was probably my favorite. Crisp, clean, refreshing, incredible mouthfeel -- one of those beers that disappears way faster than you planned. Weathered Wit deserves a shout too. Light tartness, citrus notes, classic Belgian yeast character, ridiculously refreshing. Everything you want from a witbier on a warm day and they absolutely nailed it. (beeradvocate.com) Also, I'm genuinely excited to see breweries collaborating again. The outdoor seating is a strong point. Serene, softly lit and spacious. The bartenders were business like friendly, they really don't want to hear your sad stories. The only downside was that they quit serving beer at halftime of the game we were watching. The game that went into extra time and on to penalty kicks. So we sat there for an hour and a half, thirsty, pockets full of unspent cash, watching the game while the neglected taps mercilessly mocked us. It honestly seemed baffling and inane beyond belief.
