Lotus is a hidden gem here in Alamo! It's situated in a small plaza that's not super busy so there's always plenty of parking right out front. We're always greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service! Inside, there's plenty of seating and it's quiet and calm. You can either place your order at one of the iPad kiosks or at the counter. There are a lot of options to choose from but I always tend to get a shake with boba. My favorite is the taro or the taro coconut. My son loves their teas, especially the brown sugar one. Been in Alamo for a few months but just tried this place the other day. I'm so glad I did! It's a small spot with a cute inside and lots of places to sit. I'm a little bit split on this place. I believe it's the only boba place in the area. When we went in, there was no music playing and they had 3 huge TVs that weren't turned on. Wow! Super cool that there is a boba place in Alamogordo. It's certainly the last place I would have expected to find a place for boba, but it is definitely worth stopping if you are looking for something to drink while driving through town. It's a little off the main road, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is for such a small town. The tea is very strong in flavor and the popping pearls don't pop while in the straw either The people making the tea were also super nice, which is always a bonus. If you do like a lot of boba in your tea, you may want to ask for double the amount though, there was not as much as I normally like in my tea. But, the flavor of the tea definitely is enough to not need as many pearls as I normally like. read more

Little lanterns greet you and they also have some games you can play while you sip on your drinks. They play some music in the background some oldie r&b and local taste. It's not the fanciest compared to west coast Boba places. But this place is fancy for Alamogordo. Great little shop with a relaxed atmosphere. Service- Awesome service! The guy who took my order was able to special order my drink. You can request different levels of sweetness to tone down or amp up your drink. Super knowledgeable of local places to eat and was able to strike up a conversation of popular flavors. If you have any questions about the flavors they can help you forsure. Food/Drink: My only ding would be the food selection is small. They have some chips and granola bars. Most boba places have small fried foods like fries of crispy chicken. Buy different clientel different place. The meat and potatoes here are the Boba drinks. They have some pretty legit Vietnamese coffee (cafe Su da). Which was great and pretty potent. The custard in my milk tea was super soft and velvety. Some of the best I've ever had some awesome quality. Sometimes places will have dense custard. But this place was as soft as silken tofu. Overall this place is like an pearl in an oyster. Surrounded by your taco places and burger joints this place is a gem. This place goes outside the box and brings a jewel to Alamogordo. Of course I can't compare a small business in the middle of nowhere to a big city like LA or Vegas. THEY DON'T DESERVE MY BUSINESS. Their boba tea menu is kinda sparse. I've had Boba tea in many locations around the country, and this place's menu is tiny in comparison. And that would be ok if they could think on their feet..but they can't. I really wanted a honey milk tea, but that's not exactly on their menu. They have milk tea. And they have a honey tea (I think). So when I asked for a Honey Milk Tea, I assumed it would be a no brainer. The girl behind the counter said "We dont have that". So I asked for a milk tea, and just add a little honey. She said that they are not allowed to make drinks like that. So the boba teas are decent. The service is really lacking. The two people behind the counter messed up both tea orders we had and proceeded to say it was because everyone was 'too quiet'.
