This place is pricey at about $13 a smoothie, but goes above and beyond with a myriad of house made ingredients, and healthy additives. Sometimes it's worth it to invest in your health, reduce inflammation and get your serving of fruits, veggies, protein etc. Overall I like how every smoothie automatically has a protein powder boost. Service was super friendly and chill. There's a cute patio area outside to watch the cars (albeit a little noisy on the 101). You can also walk to moonlight from here in about 5 minutes! I had the unicorn and loved it! The Avatar was quite green apple tasting. Both were super refreshing as I came here directly after an outdoor yoga class! read more

This morning I broke a 3 day water fast with a smoothie. Of course I came to Choice for that. Alyssia is the best! She was great vibes from the minute I walked through the door, and super helpful with suggestions. I make a mean smoothie and I have to say that this one far exceeded my expectations. It was absolutely delicious and I could taste the love and care put into it. Thank you again Alyssia! I highly recommend this spot. I wanted an açaí bowl and meant to walk into lofty coffee, but ended up here instead and It's a ripoff. The açaí bowl only comes with 2 toppings! So I added 2 more, the total price came to $19! And they mix in milk with the açaí. There are plenty of spots around Encinitas that will make you a better açaí bowl with the same organic ingredients for less. read more

So we placed an order online for pick up and when we went to pick it up they were very busy. We had to loop around several times and wait for an opening. We ordered a smoothie, a açaí bowl, and beet chia. I originally wanted the skinny but didn't want jalapeños. We called them and they informed us that it was pre made and we couldn't remove it. WARNING!! The açaí bowl is literally a smoothie in a bowl! No toppings are included so if you want toppings you gotta order it (it is extra). My beet chia was really good but for $12... it was a little on the high even for 16 oz. BUT it came in a glass jar so I got a jar out of it! read more

I live a block away and wandered in when I was getting a smog test. I told the girl with very very long dark hair that it was my first time in and looked at the menu to my left which was all juice. I assumed it was only a juice joint. I asked if they use (real) fresh coconut water which they do and I was glad since I think packaged coconut water is gross. While I decided (which wasn't long) she walked away without a word. Ok... When she came back was excited to have decided on some coconut milk drink. She told me that didn't have that one. Ugh. Ok, so at this point I thought about leaving since none of these juices sounded good to me at all. But I wanted somewhere to sit while I waited 30 minutes for my smog test and having a snack wasn't a bad idea. I decided to order some chocolate almond milk for eleven dollars and I tipped a dollar because I'm not a monster. I got my almond milk in a trendy glass jar and sat down and took a sip. Instantly disappointed. Nothing special at all. And way over priced. Then is we this woman come up and get handed a peanut butter and jelly smoothie. (?!) I interrupt the conversation the two gals working were having and asked, "what did she get?" And she said oh that's our smoothie. And I said I didn't see that on the menu. And she said oh yeah it's back here on this menu pointing to a menu way in the back of the store near where I was sitting. Now, I work in marketing and I've worked for franchises and that menu placement is the worst I've ever seen. I told her that. I said well now I'm bummed I would have ordered a smoothie instead of this. She just sort of shrugged and they went on with their work and talk. For me a few failures occurred here: Customer service was NOT good. If someone says this is their first time in, customer service 101 dictates point to the menus and maybe ask what they had in mind if they are having trouble deciding. Then when I expressed my disappointment in my order, because I didn't like the overpriced chalky chocolate almond milk, and could have spent two more dollars for a delicious looking smoothie, the second woman, said nothing. No empathy, nada. And that's why I won't come back. I don't make the kind of money most people around here do and I basically feel like I was duped into paying eleven dollars for something I could have (and do) make at home but better. read more

The service here is unbelievably slow. I waited at least 5 minutes until someone took my order and another 20 minutes to receive my order. There were very few people in the store so it wasn't due to crowds. Love the smoothies but not with the wait. read more

Great this Choice Juicery location opened up next to Moonlight Beach. While the ice cream shop next door is a popular choice after a hot day, I like to go to Choice to get something refreshing without the long wait. My favorite is the PB&J with added spinach. I watched them add all the spinach leaves into the blender, and yet the spinach cannot be tasted in this yummy smoothie --- relieved. I recently found out they have a "secret menu". I like the Avatar smoothie without the pineapple (from Hawaii, but don't like pineapple haha). The "Blue Majik" Choice used to make this smoothie provides a nice swirl perfect for summer day photos. Even though it's next door to the best coffee place in town -- Lofty coffee, I opt for the avocado toast at Choice because I really enjoy the superfood toast it is made with. Heartier dish. I just wish their protein chocolate brownies would be bigger in size. . . They are really good too! read more

Although I'm sad to see the previous tenant go, I'm happy to see Choice take their place. It's great to have an all organic, non-gmo, gluten free, dairy free, vegan place that truly cares about the quality of the ingredients they use. I came twice in one week and got the regular avocado toast, suntuna toast, spicy amor and mint chip smoothies. The quality is consistent with their other locations and I'm happy they added avocado toast to the mix. The only thing that would make it better were some more hot food options. But I'm not complaining! read more

The manager reached out to me about my review, not to try and dissuade me from writing my review, but to ask about what happened. She told me the issue would be discussed with everyone and that it wasn't supposed to happen. She also offered me a coupon to use on my next visit, which was sweet. Again, I never felt like she was trying to get me to remove my review. It all felt very genuine. So I've gone back a few times since my initial review and have had much better experiences. The staff are generally really nice and helpful. I love the smoothies and baked goods...and naturally, I love that everything is gluten free and Celiac safe. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes the green juices can be a little too...green, if ya catch my drift. I definitely like a less sugary/fruity green juice, but sometimes theirs can be a little too bitter for my taste. I've had to toss several of them down the sink because I just couldn't stomach it. Some people might really dig it though. Thanks to the management for reaching out and trying to make my situation right. It is much appreciated to feel heard and validated and as a result, I am your repeat customer. read more

Honestly, what a great find! I've been to this location a few times and my entire experience has been great every single time. I didn't realize they are fully vegan until my 2nd or 3rd time visiting LOL I've tried the following items: 1. Suntuna + Avocado Toast (5 out of 5) - It's their Suntuna Toast with added avocado to make it a bit more filling. It comes with their house-made vegan super loaf which is just absolutely amazing! THIS IS A MUST TRY! 2. Macho Nacho (4 out of 5) - Comes with coconut chips which are so tasty, walnut taco "meat", lentils, cabbage, and other yummy veggies along with jalapenos. YUM! 3. Warrior Smoothie (5 out of 5) - House made plant based milk, dates to sweeten it a bit, bananas, almond butter and spinach. Very filling and it was recommended by a few people. Definitely a place to check out! Service has always been great, and the food/drinks even better. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but definitely worth a try! read more

Some things about this location: - No parking - Watered down $12 smoothies - Can't place an online order and pay for it online, it has to be paid for in person for some reason at this location which I've never seen in my online ordering experience ever. The Carlsbad location by the beach has been the only consistent choice location I've been to that's good and has various parking options that don't cost money. I've also never gotten a watery smoothie that location before. Can't say I see any reason to return to this location. There is also no seating but there's seating for businesses next to it! read more

I enjoy the fact that the food is clean! Being a quasi alkaline vegan makes dining out tough. This restaurant made it easy to find dishes that suits my needs of being plant based, allergic to soy and gluten. I ordered the nacho salad and a smoothie. My first time trying a walnut taco style meat and I enjoyed the crunch and flavor of seasonings. read more

They just came out with broccoli soup and it is so good! Highly recommend if you are needing something warm and delicious. The soup is thick and creamy and I recommend adding the $1.50 for the side of toast to dip it in. I do think that there should be more soup and less quinoa for the ratio but other than that, delicious! read more

Came here for an açaí bowl. Incredibly underwhelming. 14 dollars plus for a small, basic, runny bowl. Service stunk if that's even possible at a juice bar. Workers made the bowl then placed it on the counter while I was sitting outside at a table. No one else was in the store or in line yet they never brought the bowl out or even let me know it was ready. Every thing on the menu here is small and overpriced. There are literally 30 better options nearby even if you are after vegan food. read more

I will be reporting them to the Health department, they think they are so funny relabeling the expiration dates, all the time ,, I have brought so much bad food here I always ask to please check the expiration date, they always say "oh its good for another 2-3 days after that" so they are selling food that is spoiled and sour for about 6 days after expiration date, I was sick last night, after coming home taking a big swig of almond mild that was SOUR .. On my way to San Diego from my home in Lake Tahoe, I find myself craving a smoothie or pressed juice from Choice Juicery. I finish off every morning beach run with a Hot Sunrise juice and a gluten free banana nut muffin. It is the perfect way to start the day. I stopped by Choice on my way to the beach today and got an avocado toast and smoothie. The cashier was not very friendly at all but it was busy so I totally understand. I was told it was going to be a 20 minute wait for my smoothie and toast which is no problem. I came back after 20 minutes and sat inside until my order was ready just like the person before me did. I was told by another employee that I was not allowed to wait inside. I was kind of confused as I saw the person before me sitting inside and waiting for their order but I was kind of over it so I just went outside. Immediately after, another party who had ordered before me came inside to wait for their order without the employee saying a thing???? Made a quick, unexpected stop here while walking through Encinitas and I'm so happy I did!!! We hadn't realized that they were just getting ready to close but the cashier kindly let us know that she would be bringing the outdoor furniture inside soon so we told her we would go but she insisted we stay and she'd be happy to help us! She was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and was able to help me chose my smoothie based on the info I gave her about what I wanted. She recommended the Avatar smoothie which isn't on the menu but it was delicious and so pretty too!! Highly recommend this place! Amazing service and tasty, healthy eats read more

I love when I can get to this place! The juices are pretty good, and I really love the Majik Milk---but every time we go to grab one, they are out---please make more of it! I also found another thing that I absolutely love called Super Loaf for my toast in the mornings. I'm addicted to this bread for toast! It's got a lot of seeds and things and it's just really delicious. I toast it a little bit longer than I would my normal toast and still add a little butter. I will be back to try some of the items for lunches during the week, as they seem to use really organic and healthy ingredients in their food as well as their juices. read more

Over the past year, they have been rolling out a ton of different flavored cold foams. My personal favorited was a blue berry cold foam, but they had a coconut cold foam that tasted light summer. Lately I've been getting the Caramel Best Drink Ever. If it's your first time here, you can't go wrong with it. Better Buzz also has some solid food options. When I was ordering, the person taking my order didn't seem very interested in giving recommendations when I asked, but the barista who made the drinks was very nice and the coffee itself was excellent, which made up for it. There's some construction going on in the area right now, but I was still able to find parking without too much trouble. The food also looked really good, though I only tried the drinks this time. There is ample seating and bathrooms for customers in the back. Overall, great coffee and I'd definitely come back to try more of their menu.
