Soup or salad, plus an appetizer (assorted egg rolls and dumplings) and then 1 regular and 1 specially sushi rolls. I'm highly impressed with the service, the selection and the quality here! Not sure if this place has changed ownership or not as it has been a few years since our last visit. Most recently we were not satisfied with the food. It was not as good as food court Chinese food but much more expensive. We used to really enjoy their sushi but this time it was just bland and boring. read more

I felt compelled to leave a review, as what I saw the only time we ordered here was enough to leave with genuine health concerns about what they serve here. Do not order sushi. It's not fit to eat. I've eaten sushi all over USA and have never seen anything like I saw at Lotus. While I've never eaten "gas station" sushi, I can certainly guess what it's like after ordering here. The nigiri looked as if it were cut with a pair of kid's scissors, shredded and mangled. I ordered simple salmon and tuna nigiri and what arrived at the table was truly disgusting. I've included a few images below. When I expressed concern about the FISH BLOOD (?) on the rice under the sushi, I was told that it's normal, and was asked to pay for it?! I offered to pay for our drinks and appetizer but told the owner's teenage son, who apparently prepared the nasty fish they call sushi, that I wasn't paying for any of the fish. I stop by for lunch and ordered Pineapple Chicken. The order I received was NOT Pineapple Chicken. There was no green peppers. The vegetables in my meal included: broccoli, carrots, celery, water chestnuts all in a white sauce. The meal was tasteless. I also ordered Hot & Sour soup. The soup was in a white sauce. When I told the server my meal didn't include the correct ingredients, she said that's how the cooks makes these items. I replied I googled numerous recipes for the items I ordered and my ordered items where not make correctly. I did not eat most of my meal and the waitress would not discount or comp my meal. I paid my bill, told the wait I would not be back and left. Pan fried Pork Dumplings - nice thin dough, not commercial with an interesting sauce that was not the standard soy & sesame mix. oh my goodness , I ordered in the dinning war sue gai . and what i got was not war sue gai. it was some kind of chicken and dipped in a coating when i i took bite of it it was nothing but the coating in a ball had three to four bites that way dark sauce and salty. the war sue gai I get other places nothing like this plus it had baby corn ,carrots, squash ,and mushrooms in it ....the rice was cold, the only thing good was the egg roll. the wonton soup had no taste had to add soy sauce so could drink it. Went here for lunch with a coworker. They have a vast menu which includes sushi rolls. They have some great lunch deals so I ordered Mongolian beef with crab Rangoon. The meal size was pretty generous and everything was piping hot. The service was excellent. I'd recommend! read more

By far the best Chinese food in Ashland. We go for the lunch specials. I get Thai peanut noodles, which are delicious. I highly recommend them. My husband gets the kung pao chicken and my boys share a large shrimp fried rice, all for $22. Great food at a great price. read more

This was not the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten, but it was close. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken. The vegetables were small diced frozen mixed vegetables. There was no discernible seasoning in the food. The service was only so-so, and it was slightly pricey. I would suggest buying a Healthy Choice Asian bowl frozen dinner; it is magnitudes better and even more authentically cooked. read more

Just went there for lunch. First time there and was a bit skeptical before going considering this is the only sushi place in Ashland. Nonetheless I tried the Ashland Roll and a Spring Roll. Both were good and came out super fresh and hot. Loved the spicey mayo on it. Other than that, nothing too impressive. Big menu. Lots to choose from. When I first moved to Ohio this was the first chinese place we tried It was not a good first impression!!!! The food is disgusting, we tried quite a few different dished & they just got worse. My favorite Chinese in Ashland! Their Honey Pecan Prawns are the best. Fried rice and crab Rangoon are really good too. I've never tried their sushi but my husband loves it so it has to be pretty good. There's usually a longer wait for food, etc but it's worth it! Just go when you're not in a hurry.
