Purchased a Groupon at $25.00 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and was able to redeem it on the same day. Cha-Ching! The location for this salon is within a sketchy shopping center right behind FIU, next to the Florida Turnpike. It's easily accessible, but try to make it there before the horrendous Miami rush hour traffic. The staff/techs at Lotus are all very nice and welcoming, but they speak mostly Spanish. Translators highly recommended. The nail techs specifically are excellent but they're VERY talkative and take longer than your average nail tech to finish a manicure/pedicure. I came with a friend and she had to wait almost two hours for my nail tech to be done with me for her to take her turn - mind you, they're fully staffed with three nail techs at a time. If you have the time and the patience though, it is definitely worth it. I don't think you can find a cheaper mani/pedi anywhere in Miami that's not done out of some Cuban lady's kitchen in Hialeah. Downside: techs take forever and they play the most depressing Latin love songs from the 90's (that's the legit station name btw). Great place to get a mani/pedi for a great price. The service is good and they use quality nail polishes. Every time I've come here I've been helped within 10 minutes so it's very quick and they are always very nice. It's a nail/hair salon which focuses more on hair so they have 2/3 people doing nails so at one point there was a wait but other than that this place has great service with well priced options. I went to the new Miami Beach location, which definitely has no spa redeeming qualities at all. This place inside looks more like a clinic or hospital inside than an elegant warm and inviting spa. There is no decor or style inside and this place is only drab,grey, bright lighted and uninviting. This is your basic "shop". They use cheap DND nail polish and the front desk staff could not be bothered. When I asked a question to the front desk staff she caught an attitude as if. The front desk lady was on her cell phone the whole time and walking in and out of the salon making calls. The front desk lady seemed hella rude, unfriendly and contrite. I think she was insulted that she actually had to do her job. This is a one and done joint and a sad little place. I didn't expect much.... Dont waste your time. read more

The man that did my pedicure took his time to ensure he did everything right which I appreciate but he took absolutely WAY TOO LONG & then when I asked if someone else can finish my toes for me, the man brushed me off. I will never come here again! I made an appointment and when I got there my nail tech told me she was going to get her hair cut! Yes, her hair cut. So I had to sit there and wait for her to finish getting her hair done. Finally she attended me, and she was extremely distracted the whole time. She would stop doing my nails and scroll through her phone and answered about 3 phone calls. She also got up 4 times to do other things. She messed up one of my nails and asked "do you want me to fix it?" Like, obviously I do! Also, my hands were left extremely dry I has to apply my own hand cream afterwards. Just horrible. read more

As much as I wanna say this was a steal on groupon.. I had a terrible experience. Besides my gel not even lasting for two days!!! (suppose to last at least two weeks) The beautician who took care of me was very nice however, she took over two hours to do my nails. Honestly had to tell her I needed to leave because I didn't plan to spend two hours getting my nails done. Reason being she took so long was because she was on her phone, leaving me to get up and give papers to people, face timing, just things that could wait to be done when you're not with a client. Besides that, she scraped my skin and made me bleed more than once. Usually I'm tolerable to pain but I had to tell her more than once she was hurting me. wouldn't bother to go back or wasted my time to see if they could fix my nails since the beautician lacked in doing my nails correctly. Took 2 hours to get my mani pedi by Dayana and i was bleeding from my cuticles. The picture below is what it looks like the next day. Couldn't even touch anything the next morning because they hurt so much. Granted this was a groupon deal so i didn't pay much but I'll never come back. I went in on their opening day to get a gel manicure and they did an amazing job! The owner helped me pick a color set me up with Yilanet who did an amazing job. She did this amazing scrub that made my hands so soft. I also did a wax, I have really sensitive skin, but they have wax for sensitive skin and I didn't have any issues at all. This place is great I always get a gel mani and a regular pedi. I always ask for crazy design for my nails and they always come out perfect and the longest I've gone is a month before redoing them only bc the growth was crazy noticeable. The facial there are amazing as well after a couple months my face was clear and now I only go when I really need it. I have also done my hair here and I love it super nice. The majority of the worker do speak Spanish but not all and they don't make you feel awkward if you have trouble speaking Spanish I honestly have horrible Spanish and they always are super nice trying to understand me. I love this salon. Sarah Isada is the the best hair dresser. I love her. So sweet and so carrying. She really wants you to look your absolute best. She listens to you and gives advice on how to best get the style that you want based on you hair. The salon has a great atmosphere, very welcoming. I greatly recommend it. So they have a special in Groupon. I bought 3 of them. A gel manicure regular pedicure for me and two regular mani/pedis for my daughters. We went to breakfast and went to the salon right after. It was pretty early when we arrived. Probably around 11am no later than 12. I stood at the counter for a good 10 minutes before anyone came up to see who I was and why I was there. To make it worse, the lady sitting on the couch right next to me, the whole time I was waiting, gets up, goes over to the nail techs, had a little conversation with them and the cones and asked me how she could help me. 10 minutes! She was sitting right next to me on the couch playing on her phone the whole time. Ok, then, I told her I had the Groupons, she said she needed to check with her manager, walked to the back and took another 10 minutes in the back talking to her manager I guess. So then the manager comes up to me, asks me how can she help me, I explain to her about the Groupons all over again. She tells me I need an appointment but she's going to talk to the owner. Another 10 minutes passes, at this point I've been there for 30 minutes with my two daughters, waiting to see if they could do my nails and this was the 3rd person I was talking to. She comes up to me and asked how could she help me. I told her about the Groupons and she told me I needed an appointment. I asked her if they had anything for today and I could come back and she said no. She didn't offer a different day for appointments, she didn't even look at her appointment book! She only had 4 nail stations, and 2 nail techs working. No one was waiting and the other two nail techs were no where to be found. Why would you put your business on Groupon, if on a Saturday afternoon, you only have 2 nail techs working and only have 4 nail stations? It seemed like they were all aggravated that I had Groupons and didn't want to serve me and my kids. I would have waited as I explained to her. There was literally 5 people in the whole place and no one was waiting except me. Now I have 3 Groupons and I'm so mad that I don't even think I want to use them. read more

Making an appointment and on site hair assessment was fast and not painful. I arrived on time and Irene took care of me in less than 10 minutes. I was finally going to get rid of these highlights and I was excited. The hair salon's assistant was super nice, I was going to put vaseline around my forehead and neck to prevent dye stains (my former hairdresser works from home and she stained me all over including my cheeks) and she took over and even gave me a mini mini massage. She also offered me expreso (cuban coffee). I helped myself and took a couple of candies from a jar in the front desk where I noticed that their groupon offer is only for first time customers. I didn't have a groupon and I have been there a couple of times so this didn't apply to me. They have apple pay. I definitely want to get a massage there.
