Making an appointment with Lotus Nail Spa is super easy over the phone! I called the day of to book a regular pedicure and they were very accommodating. There's 1 hour street parking on Franklin nearby the salon. Inside the spa, it is very clean and doesn't smell too strong, which was nice. There were cute decorations around, which made it feel more homely. The chairs (manicure and pedicure) are sanitary too. There's lots of different polishes (gel and regular) and dip options to pick from. Some of the polishes did seem old, but there were plenty of colors. They also sell their house made lemon scrub in jars for $10, if interested. The staff was very friendly and my nail tech was communicative as well. It seemed like they had a strong and loyal customer base. My pedicure was done very meticulously well and had a lemon scrub and stone massage included. My nail tech shaped and cut my nails the way I asked, so I decided to add a regular manicure on the spot as well + they were able to fit me in! My manicure was done with care too - my cuticles were cleaned and my nails were shaped, cut, and painted nicely. I was able to easily book my appointment online, got text reminders, and they took me right away when I arrived for my appointment. I saw Hannah and she did a phenomenal job. I have been seeing Ken for almost two years now and he and his family finally have a salon to call their own. The service here is unbeatable- always given with incredible care for a beautiful result! The techs here are extremely careful, clean and talented. A pet peeve of mine I have seen from other salons is keeping a gap between the polish and cuticle (assuming to have people come back quicker) but not here. I needed my gel mani removed, and my regular place was closed, so I figured I'd drop in here. Knowing that it was a low-cost service ($5), I gave her a 20 and told her to keep the change to make it worth her while. She didn't let my nails soak long enough in acetone, and proceeded to simply hack the gel off of my nails with a sharp instrument. I didn't realize until later how badly she completely destroyed my nails. She sliced through my right thumbnail all the way to the nail bed. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but it's been over a month now, and my nails are still brittle and constantly falling apart. If they don't want to perform a low-cost service, I would much rather them simply tell me so. read more

Huyen did a great job on my dip manicure. It's been two weeks and they're holding up very nicely.

On their website it said a manicure is 20 minutes. The technician barely took 12 minutes to do my entire manicure. Threw on some cream on my arm and hands and had me dry my nails over the fans on the table where I got my manicure. She rushed over to start a mani pedi on another woman and after barely 10 minutes came over, touched one of my nails and said " Go". Meaning leave. Talk about a bums rush out the door! The nail salon is close to my home so I decided to gave it a try. Just wanted a simple French pedicure. The Vietnamese lady made the white part of the French tip too thick and I asked her nicely to make it thinner. After asking twice, she started mumbling to herself in Vietnamese with an annoying tone. I'm sitting right in front of her too. ( don't think they care) My toe nails were really short and I didn't like the white part too thick. But apparently by asking too many times or making even the smallest request will annoy the workers here. Not sure about others, but first time here and will be my last time. read more

Went here for an acrylic refill and I will not be back. My nails looked better going in than coming out. I wanted her to make them a *little* shorter to account for growth and she completed shaved off the length. Then I asked for almond shaped with a little bit of a point and they were so short that she couldn't do that. So then I finally settled with round shaped BUT she didn't even successfully make them all round shaped. I had some that looked almond, some that were honestly close to square, and a couple that were just round. Then the paint looked chunky and bumpy. I will not be back for acrylics here and I do not recommend getting them here. I ended up having to re-file them at home and my acrylics now just look like my normal nails with a bad polish job. I have been seeing Ken for over a year at a different salon and now he and his family "re-opened" lotus nail and spa and it's amazing! I had never been there with the previous owners but I can tell you they do a beautiful job on all types of nails. I have sent a lot of my friends there too and they all love the work they do and we love how friendly they all are. There are a ton of gel, regular and dip colors. They do spa pedicures sooo well. I went in because I always pass the salon and was curious to try out a new place. When I entered it looked clean enough and I was taken within 5 minutes without an appointment. Just a gel manicure. They had a decent color selection. But the lady doing my nails literally could not have cared less. She barely filed or took time to shape my nails. Here I am 5 days later with hang nails from poor cuticle trimming and one nail completely peeled off. Will never go back. Ok I gave this place another shot and I just feel other salons do a better job for the same money. This time I had the owner & she has the sharpest fingernails which she used extensively to wipe smears despite my wincing. Even though it's a 5 minute walk from my house I won't be back. I love this place. I haven't really experienced what the other reviewers state. This place is clean, the chairs & equipment seem pretty new, and everyone is really nice. I have gone in and been told to wait before, but it's at a time that all of the technicians are clearly busy. When I call ahead, they almost always are able to hold a spot for me as long as I give them even 15 minutes notice of my arrival! I've gone in for manicures probably about a dozen times and have never had any of the girls be rough with me. Never bled, never been hurt, nor suffered from 'the sharpest fingernails'. They always have a fresh, clean set of tools! They have loads of colors and do like to offer gel manicures. I've never gotten it done, but have seen other ladies there getting wacky nail shapes or really cool/crazy nail art. I saw a girl with a different design on every finger! It was pretty cool. Obviously language wasn't a barrier because she had some wacky ideas and the girl was able to get them perfect. read more

I got my nails done on Monday (Full Acrylic set with gel). I paid $7 extra for the better Acrylic and $5 for the Gel. Wednesday afternoon I went to open my car door and my nail popped off on my right hand... for the record my right hand is fractured so I cannot do anything too intense with it. Anyways .. $45 + $10 tip. So today, (Thursday) I just went to go get it fixed. #1 it's crooked, #2 it's the wrong acrylic so it's a completely different color.. and #3, just like on Monday, there is residue all over my skin. NEVER GO HERE. I'm not kidding. I'm not very picky, I don't normally have nails, I just got them for an event. Now I have to go somewhere else on my lunch break tomorrow and have these ripped off (and they're new so it will be very painful) and pay someone else to do my nails properly. I only needed nails for like 5 days... and, in the end, this will now cost me about $100. Thank you. I wish there was a 0 star option. read more

Came her on Easter Saturday because I couldn't get into my favorite place, Sydney Nails. This was not a good experience. The pedicure water was Luke warm at best and he could. It make the water warmer??? He did a horrible job cutting my cuticles. The overall experience was terrible. read more

Lovely, clean salon and friendly staffs. I've been there several times since I just found out it recently and always have had great pedicures especially the Thai pedicure. You would enjoy the real foot reflexology when nail tech doing the massage, they give you EXTRA time!!! Warm lotion and heating pad and everything - perfect for winter time! It's amazing!
