Sent my daughter in with her father to get a full set of acrylic nails. I was told 50 with basic color. The nail tech never asked the paying parent if it was okay to add design. I was a customer of fashion nails for many years. They consistently do a decent job. Not the best, not the worst. The location is not in the safest area, but their prices are good. Over time, it became increasingly harder to book an appointment with my preferred nail tech. I don't know if this was intentional or not. On my last visit, the nail tech (not the one I was trying to book with) that worked on me spoke negatively about me in Vietnamese. The comments were made to her co-worker. I think she may have forgotten or not been aware that I understand Vietnamese. I didn't feel it was necessary to cause a scene, so I remained silent, paid, and left. Needless to say, I will never return. It is completely unprofessional, mean, and rude to talk about a long time loyal customer right in front of them, no matter what language you are speaking! I got gorgeous nails done here. These are French ombré and they are beautiful. I paid $45 which was an incredible price. An added $3 making it $48 because I needed a tip on a finger, the rest are my natural nails. The tech, Van, knew exactly what she was doing. She was efficient, but experienced. The next place I went to admitted that my nails were done really well. The way they remove powder I never experienced before. They put acetone in a plastic bag, put your hands in the bag with cotton and then tie you in. You're then asked to work on your own nails by wiping your nails with the cotton while you're trapped in this bag. Lol okay? But it worked. I did notice some nails were uneven. Some nails were shaped very circular, while others square. Some just were longer on one side than the other. My cuticles did get cut twice and bled. They hurt for a solid few days after. I wasn't a fan of is the very dirty, unhygienic brush she used to brush off the powder (picture below) the UV machine was nasty too. My fingers just get all this sandy, powdery, dirt in there as I slid my hand in. There is also pressure around tipping. My tech REALLY wanted cash over Venmo and I saw her peering into my wallet when I asked if she took Venmo. She demanded cash when she saw I had bills. There was an elderly lady who asked her tech kindly how much people tip and to hear this tech tell this 70+ lady some tip over $20?! Poor grandma was discouraged :( I did really appreciate they took me in when I came in an hour early. read more

This is my first here. If anyone knows me here I am very particular about my nails. I mean I will still I'm the chair 3-4 hours (my longest) to make sure it's right. So Fashion nails I tried to come here once a year and a half ago and they told me the only person who did long natural dip nails was out. I can't the other day to get a full set dip nails with extension and manicure for my daughter. I'm not sure if I finished my review of this salon I tried because it was close to my home and I don't trust the vehicle I'm driving right now. What a pleasant surprise!!! Cam, the gentleman who removed the acrylic nails that were difficult to remove. His patience and concern for the nail and nail bed as he did this was really impressive. He was much more concerned than I was. I tried the "dip" color and wow! With a top coat of clear gel and I have nice, short beautiful real nails! The price was unbelievable. So I've been going here for about 4 years it's a great place clean with tons of nice ladies who do nails and toes. They also wax and etc. I do gift certificates every year for my family or friends. The only downfall is if you like designs you'll have to request 1 of 4 ladies who only do fabulous designs. Was getting done a regular french mani, i asked the woman to redo/clean up/correct my nails at least five times, and still was done so badly. i normally go to braintree to get my nails done but my nail tech is taking some time off and i dislike the other nail techs in that salon so i decided to try elsewhere. i looked at the reviews for this place and figured i'd give it a shot. i called at 1pm to make an appt for an acrylic fill at 630 as i work in boston and it takes me about an hour or so to get back to quincy. the great thing is that they open till 8pm. they have a parking lot but make sure when you park, you park facing their building. there's a sign on the door saying if you face the laundromat you'll get towed. unfortunately this salon doesn't give off a relaxing feeling that most salons do. the inside resembles more of a warehouse. for that i had to take off a star. i arrived at 6 for my 630 appt and was told to pick a color. i had something in mind and my nail tech, Jenny, helped me pick a color close to the picture i had. i was seated and the process began. she was very gentle and paid very close attention to detail. the only downside was that there was still a little bit of my old gel polish on the underside of my nail. but it was a few specks here and there and i can barely see it. the upside is that she didn't nick my cuticle as most places typically do when using the machine. i tend to leave with one finger bleeding or cut up. jenny did a wonderful job! the service took an hour which is normal for an acrylic fill with gel polish. it cost 35$ which is 5$ more than what i pay for the same service at my salon in braintree. HOWEVER, with that being said, i love my nails. i will definitely come back and see jenny. read more

We had a wonderful experience at Fashion Nails. We had a special plan for my 3 year old, and brought her here with "the girls" (grammas and mommy) to get her nails done for the first time. Price point is a little higher than the salon I normally frequent but it seems cleaner. There are air vents that seems to suck out the fumes from the nails so I didn't smell anything when I was there. Granted maybe if I did a manicure I would smell it but the air quality here seems fine. It's a big salon and there was lots of people coming in and out. They were able to take me in 15 mins from calling so that was very nice! I don't think where you dry your toes have any sort of air blowing but she did turn on a red light - not sure what it does. I had a 1.5hr service time at the Quirk Nissan auto shop so I decided to come to Fashion Nails to get my much needed nails and toes done during my wait. I walked in and had a nail technician ready in a couple of minutes. I opted for the spa mani / pedi. Gel of course. The pedicure met all my expectations. The callous removal was great and very necessary since I work on my feet a lot. I got the gel pedicure but I probably could have just done a regular. The manicure was good but just one thing that I noticed. When the nail tech went to file, she didn't check that both hands were even. I am super OCD so that is why I took a star off. Otherwise the manicure was great. I had this done a week ago and nothing has chipped. I am pleased with most of the work done.
