I cant find any other salons that do a better job than magnifique. Friends have been recommending other salons, but I shamefully crawl back to Magnifique every time I try other places. The owner reached out and I had a follow-up visit to redo my nails. The owner was very attentive: she helped me find the nail color I was looking for, applied the color very evenly on my nails, and fixed the smudges on my nails. I had a very good (and very different) experience this second time. Based on these 2 visits, I would recommend (1) try getting appointment with one of the friendly staff instead of taking your chances to get randomly assigned, (2) on the weekends, they are very busy in the morning, so evenings might be better read more

This place is not what everybody says it is A very racist nail salon i work too hard for my money the women cant even do my feet correctly and she keeps cutting and she cut my skin and it started bleeding everything was overpriced she told me a decent amount price at first and when i go pay its a whole different story i do not recomend this place at all!!!! that was my 2 time i said i will give it try and nope it wad horrible my people were complaining thats why the place is always empty they need inspectors because this is bad! all they care is money read more

I'm never coming here again. I pointed to a tow nail that was messed up and she slapped me. I'm reporting this salon to the proper authorities. Also, she tried to utilize a used nail clipper on my toe nails that had debris on it. I came here to get a polish change on my feet and a manicure for my hands and could not even stick around for the manicure. read more

I did get a response from the owner that did not really change my mind. I am happy for them and most of their customers that they are friends and comfortable with each other, but I am still never going back. I think what the owner and other customers messaging me don't understand is that this review is here to ward off anyone else who is looking for a nail salon but doesn't want to end up with negative/hurtful people, or for my other chronic pain sufferers to avoid really uncomfortable chairs. There is no way a few more pillows would have helped, which is what I'm assuming the staff would have offered from the heap at the back if I did say something (no other options were available and it's a pretty small place). read more

I have been going to this nails salon for a while. It is a small cozy place that is nicely decorated. It is a family own and run business. Everyone is very nice and polite. The owner is into plants and they have many cute plants as well as cute little things decorated throughout the salon. I normally get regular mani pedi. They always take their time! There was a time I was struggled with ingrowth nails and the mom was so nice and patient with me :) It is 10 minutes away from my house and although there are many nails salons in the area, I don't think of going any where else unless when I travel read more

Went in for a long overdue pedicure because of COVID. They check your temperature on arrival and have you wash your hands. Space is clean with a decent selection of polish colors. My technician was very thorough, and spent time cleaning up the edges from my polish at the end. Decently priced for a pedicure at $30. Would recommend and return. read more

I highly recommend this quality place. I had not had my nails done for so long because of the pandemic. My nails and skin were probably a lot of work for her but she didn't complain one bit. I loved the results and even at 12th day after all the hard work at home (I'm a stay at home mom so I work all the time in the kitchen) it's still pretty good and mostly intact. Unfortunately, I recently learned that Lin was no longer working there. I have had both older ladies for gel manicures and regular pedicures, was disappointed both times. Yen is the only one that does a decent job unfortunately she is also the only one that does acrylic, powder and all the other specialty nails, so she has a lot less time for regular gel nails and pedicures. If you're not getting your nails done by Yen, better to go somewhere else. read more

I waited until one week later after I had SNS with Lyhn( Called her Lynn?) I know I would get too excited on day one then posted something I might regret later on. So I waited until one week and see the results. I LOVE MY NAILS. Got so many compliments from friends and coworkers. I did SNS medi, and regular Pedi. Lyhn took whole 2 hours working on my nails. I got a gel polish removal and manicure from Kim who did a wonderful job. I previously got my nails done in China which is unlike the polish they use in the US. My polish was very difficult to remove and she was able to remove it cleanly. Not only did she take the polish off, she cleaned my cuticles and around my fingers which were very dry. Not a lot of nail technicians I have come across take their time to do this so I appreciated it. She listened to what I wanted and took her time to shape my nails nicely. She applied the colors and finished a nice gloss polish in a efficient manner. After the manicure, she even put on lotion on my hands which are always baseline dry. I was highly satisfied by the results and would come here again. read more

Absolutely the best nail salon I have ever been to!!! My nail tech was Linh and she is soooooo meticulous that some people might find it annoying but for me it's absolutely great!! Gel soak off, manicure and regular pedicure was total of 2 hours and costs $55 not including tip. Absolutely amazing job!!! read more

After just 10 days, two of my gel nails peeled off. It actually started peeling around day 6, but it started lifting off my nails too much that I peeled it off. I've gotten my nails done many times before and this is the first time it peeled off in less than 2 weeks. This is not acceptable! Amy, my nail tech, was nice but she wasn't very careful when applying the gel polish. The whole process took about 20-25 mins because she worked so fast. This wouldn't bother me if my nails lasted longer. Next time, I'm going to try to get an appointment with Yen to see if she is better. read more

Really wanted to like this place after reading the reviews, but I am just so dissatisfied with my visit. All was good during the pedi, but when it got to my mani, she started talking about me because she didn't know I could understand Vietnamese. She was saying how my hands were too small and that my fingernails were so short and ugly. She started complaining about my cuticles (I pick at them) and how she had to be more careful, but then ended up cutting my finger! That would have been okay (albeit rude) if the mani was good at least, but I got them 2 days ago and three of the fingers have already lifted. 2 stars because she was attentive and tried to be careful, but that doesn't mean much if I had to put up with her rude comments about me for an hour for a shitty job. I was serviced by the older lady, so maybe another would be better, but definitely will not be going back. read more

I see what the hype is about ! I'm so happy right now. I don't know if Lihn is from heaven, but when she was massaging my feet, I found myself falling asleep (a first my whole life). Clean: shop is super clean and cute. Who's the decorator? I wouldn't mind them decorating my home haha Friendly asf: omg. This is by far the friendliest nail salon I've ever been to. You know those nail salons that just tell you to pick a color, then rush painting your nails, tell you to pay before they paint your nails? This is NOT how they operate. They treat everyone like family. Even the customers are friendly! What an amazing atmosphere Attention to detail/precise painting: wow. Just... I wish I could hug Lihn. I see these reviews on the internet about their store not providing good service. I don't understand why some people are so nasty. If you go and get your nails done here and don't like it, don't leave the store. They can't control what happens when you leave the store. But if you don't like your nails or need it fixed before walking out, tell them. They 100% of the time will make it right if it is an instant fix. If you walk out of the store angry or upset and don't like what you were given, that's on you. Also, you chose the color - not them. Lida and Navy try their best to make it right so please be kind. Tips: 1) always call ahead so the girls can pencil you into their schedule. Walk ins are available but there is usually some kind of wait. 2) show up to your appointment 10-15 min early to pick your colors 3) they take cash and card but the card machine has a transaction fee on your card. They also take venmo.

Yen and Q are the best manicurist hand down, not because I know them personally but because I give them the credit for their work quality and their personality. If you get your nail done regularly at many different places before, you know what a great experience should feel like vs. a nail nightmare. These girls has so much patience to adore many difficult customers all day long, so cut them some slack for running late or a little over booked occasionally. I wanted to update my review since there was recently a change in ownership. I have been back twice since the change, continuing to see Q, and everything is still great. Maliza had such loyal clients and got to know all of us so personally, so it was obviously a shock to not see her there anymore. Everything is still meticulously clean and the new owner is really funny and personable. I still text for my appointments and both were right on time. Price is still the same. Q is the best and I am grateful she's still there. While I was a bit panicked when I realized it was new ownership...nothing other than that has changed. The pedicure chairs were different, according to my research, those build-in pedicure chairs are more hygienic compare to the massage one. I think they also have the best price ever, $12 for manicure, $22 for pedicure, and $25 for gel manicure, can't beat that! Not to mention that the nail techs are very skillful and friendly. I've been a loyal customer at this nail salon for almost six years, and I can't recommend it enough! I always get both my gel manicure and pedicure done here, and the quality is consistently top-notch. I also feel like the price for quality is fantastic! Yen, the owner, does my manicures, and I always leave with nails that I absolutely love. As for pedicures, I usually let anyone in the salon do them, and they always turn out amazing. This is one of the best Nail Salons I have ever been too! The owner is very friendly and cares about providing her customers with the best pedicure or manicure! The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is very relaxing, I am never disappointed! Excellent costumer service. The owner really cares about the quality of work and has the knowledge to do the correct process for the Gel manicure. Gel stays on for a full two weeks! Nice nail but they accidentally hurt the finger skin and it bleeds, without any explanation, the older women continues on doing things and complains in Vietnamese like you don't exist. When I asked for bandaid, she looked annoyed. Awful service and never will return. read more

I will never go to another nail shop until they shut down (which i hope never happens because i will be devastated.) Honestly, the service and quality here is unbeatable. The girls are genuine, friendly, and love their jobs (and take pride in it.) The shop is clean and promotes a relaxing environment. I see these reviews on the internet about their store not providing good service. I don't understand why some people are so nasty. If you go and get your nails done here and don't like it, don't leave the store. They can't control what happens when you leave the store. But if you don't like your nails or need it fixed before walking out, tell them. They 100% of the time will make it right if it is an instant fix. If you walk out of the store angry or upset and don't like what you were given, that's on you. Also, you chose the color - not them. Lida and Navy try their best to make it right so please be kind. Tips: 1) always call ahead so the girls can pencil you into their schedule. Walk ins are available but there is usually some kind of wait. 2) show up to your appointment 10-15 min early to pick your colors 3) they take cash and card but the card machine has a transaction fee on your card. They also take venmo.

I don't get designs or special services, but my nails come out exactly the way I want them to and the service lasts for weeks. They have tons of colors, are extremely friendly, and do a fantastic job every time. There are plenty of techs and people to translate if there's a language barrier and you have a specific request, but if you come often enough and get the same tech, they have great memory and often remember your preferences. Making an appointment is definitely recommended, especially in the summer. I've also gotten waxing here and have also been happy with this. I've gotten my eyebrows, upper lip, and underarms done and the waxing is always done with care. Not all techs are trained to do this though, so if you don't make an appointment in advance, you might have to wait a little bit for a tech to become available. The salon itself is very clean; I've seen them thoroughly sweep their floors at night and disinfect their tools and footbaths in between customers. I've been coming here for almost 10 years and I live on the north shore now, so it's not as easy to get to, but I've yet to find another nail salon that's comparable to this one. Many get close and I'm happy enough with the service but never as satisfied as when I come to this specific salon.

Nail tech was rushing from the start and after using the drill to remove most of the top layer of old gel polish, she brushed on this chemical from a small nail polish type bottle (two coats) and said not to move my hands for 5 minutes. A few mins later the remaining polish just easily scraped off. Then my nails started to sting with a burning sensation. She saw me blowing on my nails (while she did my pedicure) so wiped my nails with a wet rag. Meanwhile I'm researching on my phone what the heck this stuff could be that removes gel polish so fast - maybe this is something new? Turns out it's a PAINT SOLVENT chemical that is likely BANNED in the US. I refused the manicure after that (pedicure was fine) so my burning nails can rest. DO NOT LET THEM USE THIS PAINT SOLVENT STUFF TO QUICKLY REMOVE YOUR OLD GEL POLISH!! IT HURTS! I spoke with the mgr and she apologized and said they'd wrap them next time. And no, I do not have overly sensitive skin or nails. I have never EVER seen this procedure used in decades of having gel polish applied. AVOID THIS PLACE!

I will never be returning to this salon after the way I was treated. I booked my appointment online for 1:30 PM four days in advance because I specifically wanted to see Nicky. The salon's website listed her as a nail artist who specializes in nail designs, so I waited for her next available appointment on Monday instead of booking with someone else. The morning of my appointment, around 9:00 AM, the salon called and told me my appointment was at 10:00 AM instead. That wasn't what I had booked. I explained I couldn't come that early, and they asked if I could come at 11:00 AM instead. Although it was inconvenient, I agreed. When I arrived, I checked in and was asked whether I was getting nail art. I said yes. I was seated near the front entrance, waited about 10 minutes, and another technician removed my Gel-X nails before Nicky came over. I showed her a very simple design: a French manicure with a flower on each ring finger. While she was working, she asked if the French line looked okay. At that point it did, but once more of the nails were finished, I realized the French tip was much thinner than I wanted. I politely asked if she could make the white line a little thicker. Instead of simply adjusting it, she became frustrated, repeatedly questioned what I meant, and then raised her voice at me, saying, "Why didn't you say that before? I have other customers! Why didn't you say that when I asked you, huh?" in an aggressive tone. This completely caught me off guard because I WAS her customer. I never raised my voice or spoke disrespectfully. I simply asked for a minor adjustment, which is a normal part of a nail service. I've been getting my nails done for over 14 years, and I have never had a technician react this way to such a reasonable request. I was so embarrassed that I told her to just finish the French manicure and that I would come back another day for the flower design. The truth is, I only said that because I wanted to leave as quickly as possible after being spoken to that way. Had I felt comfortable, I would have preferred to have everything removed and left. When I went to pay, the receptionist asked if I was paying with cash or card. I said cash, and she told me my total was $125. When I asked for the breakdown, she said it was $85 for the nails, $25 for the nail design, and $15 for repainting. This made no sense because I never received the flower design, and there was no repainting beyond the correction I had requested. I paid because I was in a rush, but I asked to speak with a manager. Nicky told me she was the manager. Whether or not that was the case, I should only have been charged for the services I actually received which is what I told her. Being charged for nail art that was never completed and an additional repaint fee after requesting a minor correction was unprofessional. The entire appointment lasted just over an hour. Throughout the service, I felt rushed rather than cared for. I've been getting my nails done for years, and I've never been treated this way. A small adjustment should never result in a customer being yelled at or made to feel like they are inconveniencing the technician. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome and judged. I left feeling like I wasn't treated with the same care, patience, and respect that every paying customer deserves. Based on how I was treated from the very beginning, I was left feeling that discrimination may have influenced the way I was treated, and that made the experience even more upsetting. I rarely write reviews like this, but I was genuinely shocked by the lack of professionalism and customer service. I won't be returning, and I cannot recommend this salon. I hope ownership takes these concerns seriously because no customer should leave a nail appointment feeling rushed, overcharged, or disrespected.

But today, when Kim kindly asked another nail tech (Nicky) for help with a design I wanted, the experience turned very uncomfortable. Nicky immediately responded with attitude, quoted $15 per nail without explanation, and when I asked why, she spoke to me in a condescending, disrespectful tone -- even saying things like, "Do you know how to do my job? Do you think this is easy?" This isn't the first time Nicky has been rude; she's treated my sisters poorly in the past as well. It's really disappointing to feel disrespected while just trying to get my nails done. Kim is wonderful and professional, but the overall experience was ruined. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you don't want to risk being spoken to rudely or made to feel uncomfortable.
