Came here originally for a tip and dip powder. Jessica the nail tech suggested I get a full press on and gel because it's faster and less messy. My first time coming here by the way. I made the mistake on agreeing with her. I should've left. She does rush the process and is aggressive with the filing. There was so much glue coming from the bottom of the nail. I ask if this is normal and she mention yes. I never seen anything like this before. At the end, I went back home and end up filing my own nail so it looks and feels right. I went to the salon to get pride nails done and was told that jessica couldn't do a pride design (just a rainbow with lines, very simple) and was told that she couldn't do the design but when I looked on the social media platform, I seen that she was able to do a grinch design and a snoopy design which is harder than a rainbow in my opinion! I decided to try this nail bar today. I went at 4:00 PM. I walked into a empty salon. There were three workers sitting around talking. I told them I was interested in getting a pedicure. I explained to them that my knee will not bent fully so I asked if they could accommodate me without moving the chair forward. It's unfortunate, but everything regarding my experience here was unpleasant. I really tried to give a couple of outcomes the benefit of the doubt, however it was evident their interest in customer service, was their least priority. I called in advance in hopes they can squeeze me in 50 minutes before closing. I guess this would be mistake #1 on my part. The gentlemen rushed through my pedicure, in which he spent more try massaging my legs and feet, then actually cutting my cuticles and cleaning under my nail. He literally took his tool and slightly "cleaned" under my toe nail, with so very little efforts, that I didn't realize he was done with the "cleaning" until I saw him putting his tool down. Furthermore, I was so frustrated but never said anything. My toe nails look as if there was no cuticle cut and more so after they were painted. Prior to the painting getting started and what took me over the top for me, the man came back with use foam slippers that were unquestionably used and dirty. This is when I had to say something. I said " oh no those are used and filthy", he tried to slide them on my feet so quickly and hoped that I didn't noticed. Initially, I was getting a pedi and a gel manicure but I had enough. Paid for the pedicure and will never visit this place again. As a multi business owner, reviews like this one , takes a lot for me to want to write because I know the damage and domino effect it can cause a business owner to their business. Needed a quick refills but honestly wish I'd gone somewhere else instead. Salon was completely empty, and first thing I asked when waking in was "Do you have time for a refill?"they immediately sat me down and the girl proceeded to rush me at every step, first it was that she could not do the square shaped I asked. She blamed it on me saying I hadn't said anything but she also had not asked anything and started doing my nails. Towards the end I asked for a leaf design and both attendants told me that they do not do designs here. So as I'm adjusting and looking for a secondary thing to do now, she tells me I can go to another salon to finish up. I asjed the second attendant why she keeps rushing me when I'm still sitting in the chair. She ignores me but asks the other attendant to check on her appointment coming in 10 minutes. When I tell you I sat in my car outside for 15 minutes past the time and no one walked into that salon. The dip mani was done well and has lasted me close to 3 weeks. Will come again as the staff here is super nice! The design and nails came out good at the end, but the process to get there was a very, very painful. first, my cuticles were cut multiple times so the point where it was bleeding then the lady would use a nail drill to file down my extensions, but she would also use it on skin above my cuticles and under my nails. The nail polish is messed up on one of my nails and instead of fixing it she just stuck a gem on it. She would Soca cotton ball in alcohol to clean my nails, but we also run it over the cuts making it hurt. I would not recommend this place. read more

I had kept coming here after the new owner took charge because I really liked Lena. I booked online and by phone several times specifically asking to book with Lena. I would get to the salon and be told that there was an issue and Lena was double booked. I would get sloppy manicures and pedicures from other technicians. Please do not go to this location nail salon. Consider yourself warned, as they are not reliable and do not care about inconveniencing customers. My original nail appointment was at 5:40. With an Appt set hours in advance, I still decided to call ahead of time (at 5:20) to ask when they took the last walk in. With a tight scheduled, it was important for me to get my nails done at this date. Instead of receiving an answer on this, I was instead told to come on in "Now" and that they could take me - with no time mentioned or no mention of them closing prior to 8 PM. 40 mins later, I showed up to find the location closing at 6:05. While walking up to this location, the owner proceeded to close down the shop, and shut the door in my face. Yes! the owner and another nail tech still proceeded to close the door in my face, even after seeing my appt receipt that was booked earlier and even after my call about walking in. Regardless of me being a bit late, I called ahead to ensure that I would be seen prior to closing at 8 PM, and was told a lie about being able to be receive service. As a paying customer that hasn't been serviced here before, I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed at this lack of professionalism and wouldn't recommend going here at all. read more

I've frequented this nail salon for almost a year. The owner's (Jessica) disposition & the way she spoke to me was SUPER rude, but I ignored it, because I loved how she did my nails. After last night, she will NEVER get my business again! She does not value her customers (at least not the BLACK clients), and shows zero courtesy. I paid $70 for my nails (Dip, chrome, cuticles clipped), she didn't have the decency to apply lotion, or oil to my nails afterwards, I had to do it myself. She was upset I didn't want the acrylic refill (less times consuming for her). I wanted to go back to the dip (again, I had an appointment). She rushed doing my dip mani, and had the audacity to tell me "she had a client waiting". I was also a client, with an appointment, who frequented her salon faithfully. Quincy is FILLED with nail salons. I will happily take my money, and my services elsewhere. I refuse to continue to be made to feel like I'm a 2nd class citizen, paying the same, if not more than other clients (I also faithfully get a deluxe pedi). I hate to make things black & white, but I also call things as they are. Her customer service skills are extremely lack luster, and non-friendly is an understatement. When i left i looked at my nails and they were uneven and missing polish on the sides. So i went back in, the manager who was rude and acted like she was better than me (after i spent $95 at her awful establishment) acted like she didn't speak English and when i tried to explain to her what i wanted fixed she blamed me saying it was my fault. 2nd time back. Booked an appointment online for a REGULAR/basic gel mani/pedi it said $65 when I booked it. They charged me $85 when I was leaving... I should've spoken up and showed them what I booked online and what the confirmation email had said. Also when I was about to walk out the door with my infant child the owner was rude telling me to wait because the "cash app" notification didn't come through on her end yet. This nail salon has so much potential. Jessica is actually very good at doing nails. Unfortunately , when I ask for something (very basic,) and specific she doesn't seem to follow through or deliver. I've shown her pictures and videos of my own hands, the same color and style I always get, anywhere I go! And she still does what she thinks is better. I really don't like that. If I show you how I have gotten MY nails in the past, why try to steer me in another direction? I always see the color I usually get and the chrome powder I usually get, but she always tells me the picture I show her (of my own hands,) is wrong or won't look right? It's very frustrating. I stopped going to Nailbar for a while and decided to come back- but I'm still very disappointed everytime. I will stick with Boston Nails & Spa in Boston by the prudential. They are a bit more pricey and parking is hard to find but I promise you they listen, they experiment, and they are absolutely worth the drive and money. I tried my best to be very nice about this, but I'm very upset and unimpressed with NailBar in Quincy. Today was my last time supporting this business. My fingers have paint on them, the paint job for my French tip is messy, and she didn't listen to me once again. I called around 12 to make an appointment for 4:30, they told me to come in and I did. When I walked in they told me I was going to have to wait another hour because they were too busy. She was very unprofessional and told me to find something to do and somewhere to sit for the time being. I come back at 5:20 and she tells me to sit and wait we waited by their nail polishes on the wall which most of them were separating pretty badly. She took me and when I sat down she started using the drill on my nails with no nail prep or anything. She didn't sanitize anything nor wash her hands before even touching my nails after her last client. It was all just very unprofessional and she offered a discount which was very nice but at the end of the service when we mentioned it she seemed surprised and irritated. I asked for a gem on my nails which she showed me before and I said I would tell her if I wanted it and I did to which she said no. When painting my nails and curing them she painted gel very poorly and got it all over my fingers and to which she didn't even clean up. If I get contact dermatitis I will be very angry. Firstly, the women who work here are all very kind and bubbly. They are very engaging in conversations and are good at keeping the mood lively. There are many innovative touches to their salon and services - like a CBD pedicure, a formal check in system and even a reward program. Their tools are either one time use or sterilized after each client. Their gel manicures are $28, about $3 more than the typical rate for our area. Sure, they add an oil and a scrub at the end of each manicure, but the salon really lacks the true meaning of a spa. There is clutter everywhere. Besides all of the bells and whistles. It really boils down to the manicure, after all it's a nail salon. Was the manicure it worth the extra $3? No. Was the manicure even worth $25? No. They did not even soak my fingers (although there was a bowl of water on the desk throughout the whole manicure). They drilled off my cuticles, DRILLED!! and they used an electric sander to buff my nails to prepare for the gel... seems excessively damaging. I can't imagine how paper thin my nails would be after more than one manicure with that technique. My gel manicure ended up exceeding 1 hour and 30 minutes which would have been okay if I was satisfied with the product. The paint at the base of the nail is pretty messy and paint cured to my cuticle. Update: Three nails broke with gel on them still. I've been getting my nails done every two weeks consistently for over a year since getting engaged and I have NEVER broken a nail, especially with gel polish still on them. I am very disappointed with how their techniques have weakened my nails. read more

Came here for a fill for NexGen dipping nails and absolutely am obsessed with this place and how they turned out. I came here after getting the NexGen dipping nails about 3 weeks ago and decided to spend the extra money to get the fill. I can definitely tell you it is worth the money... though it's a bit pricey. Lina is the one who does my nails and she has amazing suggestions and tips! She used two colors on my hands and didn't even charge me extra for that! She used a vanilla coconut scrub on my hands as a finish, which smelled SO GOOD! Thai, the owner of the salon, mixes her own hand scrubs. I love the way they smell and what it does to your skin so I purchased a small container of the mango scrub ($2) for I definitely recommend this place.. even though it is a bit pricey and there are definitely other salons that offer the dipping powered nails for cheaper. read more

Clean and orderly. Very Covid compliant, take your temperature at the door and immediately make you wash your hands. The ladies are all SO NICE. Lena is a sweetheart and they all work together so nicely. After finishing my dip manicure I did not like the color so much and she was helpful and added a little glitter on top which definitely made the color pop better. My pedicure was also perfectly done. Thanks to a former coworker, I have found my go to nail salon! Every technician that's worked on my hands and feet do a great job. Angel, Thai, Tracy and Lena are wonderful ladies and work very hard to make you feel refreshed and looking great! Dip is something that I considered and this place does a fantastic job explaining the process and executing with perfection. Tracy, who is a technician in training, did my nails last time I went and I was happy with her work! Thai, the owner, advised she was in training and was I happy to have her work on my hands and feet. We have all been the new person at a job so the best way to get experience is by practice. I have had Lena and Angel do my nails and wow, they're very skilled!! Thai, the owner, is also a nurse and has a great personality. She calls me, "babe," which I adore because she's super chill and explained the happy hour specials on the weekends....if you don't know, pop in and she'll tell you all about it. Basically, I pay $57 CASH ONLY for a dip manicure and pedicure. I know, what a steal!!!! Seriously, I like it because dip is already up there in price and you know you want your toes to feel good, so spend the 57$! If you're gonna park, there's 1-2 hour parking across the street. She has always been friendly, courteous and incredibly diligent during each appointment, always making sure that I am comfortable and enjoying myself at each appointment. A little pricier than other places but worth every extra penny. We were warmly greeted upon entering and got to settle in with complimentary drinks and massage chairs before the three of us got our spa pedicures. My technician, Angel, was so lovely! We had a friendly chat, and she was really mindful of my preferences and always checking in on me. My dance friend had Lena, and her fiance had Cindy; all three were great! Definitely worth your money to get the spa pedicure at $38, which includes the basic package (priced at $25: simple wash, cuticle cleaning and polish) + leg scrub + callous removal + hot towel wraps + hot stones + leg/foot massage. You can also ask for paraffin which is an additional $10, but the fiancee got it for free as he was a male client and opted out of polish. The salon had an overall friendly vibe, and all the staff members really made sure you were content throughout your entire stay here. Their masks and scrubs are also homemade, and you get a sample to take home if you check in/review on their Facebook, Instagram and/or Yelp pages. You can accrue points by making an account, which leads to freebies! Lots of things going on. But overall, I would come back here! Their prices are reasonable (and some of their package deals are pretty good), service was excellent, and their clientele range from women to men to even kids. These past two weeks been rough. Today, things took the turn for the better because I finally got my manicure soaked off from this salon! Due to the good reviews about Jessica, I made an appointment requesting for her over the phone. When I got to the salon, she glared at me up and down and tried passing me off to her coworker. I spoke up and said I made an appointment with Jessica. The expression on her face said it all. She clearly did not want to do this manicure but still took me. I should've trusted my guts and left. I sat down and the entire dip manicure was rushed. My old dip wasn't even completely soaked/filed off and she still dipped my nails into the new color. The shape of my nails are completely wonky and my nails felt and looked like the Grand Canyon. The one star is for the decent price and she actually asked me if everything was ok. I posed this on another account by accident so reposting this now: I came in on a saturday with an appointment and ended up sitting there for nearly 2 hours when it should have taken max 1 hour. I was delayed so much because my nail tech did not know how to properly remove my gel extensions which wasted 40 min. After that he handed me off to someone else who struggled to get the rest of the gel-x off my nails. Then the new nail tech did a simple gel mani on me which ended up being uneven, bumpy, and not fully cured. I then showed Jessica my design and she said "no thats too hard" (it was not imo). At that point I gave up because I had been passed around by quite a few nail techs and just wanted to leave. I'm sure on a less busy day the quality of my manicure would have been slightly better.
