I told the nail tech what I wanted, he showed me maybe 12 different shades in cats eye. None of them were really the baby Pink that I wanted. I asked him " there's no pink?" and he pointed at the shades I was looking at. The manicure was fine, it's not the color I wanted, but he did a good job. They sent me to a different tech for my pedicure, and she did not know how the cats eye polish even worked. She didn't know how to use the magnet, she couldn't figure out how to get it to work, and instead of asking for help right away, she just kept trying different things. I'm really unhappy with how my nails and toes came out. They don't match. While I was checking out, I see a tray of all these beautiful summer shades, including the baby pink that I wanted. I was informed I was looking at the only 12 shades of cats eye they had. I let the manager know that I was a very unhappy, and I was told that it's fine, I'll get the color I want next time, it's not a big deal. And I understand that for them it's not a big deal because it's not their $120 that just got wasted or the 2 1/2 hours that took them to do my nails and feet. There was no apology that the nail tech I was given for my pedicure was incompetent and didn't know how to use the materials in the salon. So I do not recommend the salon to anybody. I've been searching for a new Nail Salon for about six months, and this place is not going to be it. Highly incompetent and overpriced. No offer to take some money off for their incompetency. She does an excellent job with the services of course. I usually get a regular manicure ( yes, just polish on my own nails), and it stays on for 14 days. One of my key identifiers of a great salon is how long my polish stays on. This new "My Paris Salon" is fresh, stylish, clean, and tranquil. Probably my favorite feature is that there's no tv blaring. There are no hidden gimmicks concerning services and prices. Everything is transparent. I complained a few times about the shape of one nail being imperfect after she filed my nails -- she was willing to reshape the nail each time. I switched the nailpolish color I originally choose shortly after the process began and thought she would get an attitude -- she did not show any attitude, she simply brought the other colors for me to pick. She didn't rush me, she didn't "gossip" in a foreign language with other coworkers, she didn't hurt me, and she didn't treat me like crap for not also getting a mani/pedi. The only "con" was that Nancy didn't speak much English. This can cause problems because she wasn't able to understand some of my requests but you should be fine as long as one of the other workers who speak better English translate your requests to her. Overall I was pleased with my first visit with Nancy and I'll be back! :)

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the worst customer service experience I've ever had period. I had Gel-X nails done, and within five days the polish on one of the nails chipped. I called on Wednesday to schedule a repair for Saturday. I was initially told there was no availability all day, but after questioning it, I was given a 10:00 a.m. appointment. On Saturday morning, something unexpected came up, so I called before my appointment time to let them know I couldn't make it. I was told it was "no problem" and that I could come in at 3:30 p.m. instead. After driving over 30 minutes to the salon for my confirmed 3:30 appointment, everyone acted as though they had no idea who I was or why I was there. I was told I could either make another appointment or wait because everyone was busy. I was understandably upset. The technician who originally did my nails, Nina, then asked why I hadn't come at 10:00. I explained that something had come up, which is why I had called to reschedule. Her response was simply, "Well, now I'm not available," and she immediately turned around and walked away. There was no attempt to help resolve the situation or speak to me respectfully. When I spoke with the front desk, I was told they didn't remember me calling. I showed them the call in my phone and asked if it was their number. They said they didn't recognize it, so I called the number while standing there and the front desk phone rang. Even then, there was little acknowledgment of the misunderstanding. Thankfully, another technician stepped in to help. She recognized me, remembered that I normally come in with my mom, and kindly fixed my nail. While we were talking, I mentioned how disappointed I was because I genuinely loved my nails and only wanted the chipped one repaired since it had been just five days. At that point, Nina began yelling across the salon that I was trying to embarrass them, make them look bad, and that I had never called. It was incredibly unprofessional and completely unnecessary. I simply responded, "You're the one making yourself look unprofessional. I'm a paying customer, and you're yelling at me across the salon." After that, I chose not to engage any further. The repair itself was done well, and I appreciate the technician who stepped in to help. However, the way this situation was handled, especially Nina's behavior, was unacceptable. Customers should never feel attacked or publicly yelled at over a simple nail repair. Mistakes and scheduling misunderstandings happen, but professionalism is shown in how they're handled. I truly hate leaving this review because I've been a loyal customer for many years and actually loved how my nails turned out. Unfortunately, because of how I was treated, I won't be returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional customer service and conflict resolution training specifically to Nina and the front desk receptionist, because no customer should have this kind of experience and feel attacked or disrespected.
