I was sent here from Iconic nails when I needed to have a very bad paint job corrected. I was greeted the second I walked in the door by Lindsey and she apologized for my experience. She was disheartened that was my 1st experience at Iconic. She helped me pick out my color and spoke to me about SnS and actually had a conversation with me. She gets 5 starts because she was sincere and was actually working to earn my business. When I left I was confident that my polish would last 2+weeks. The salon itself I would give 3 stars, just because it looked as though it had seen better days. Just cluttered more in areas that looked like it used to serve more clients. read more

Great place for nails and pampering. Ivy did designs on my nails and toes even on powder nails. I haven't had cute design nails since I switched from regular polish manicures to shellac. I asked before at other salons and was discouraged from putting designs on shellac. My nails look whimsical and great! read more

THIS particular nail salon FOCUSES on the DETAILS, it definitely stands out amongst the competitors in Waxhaw and neighboring cities. Here is a few examples as to why they are leading the way... -They offer their patrons wine or a cold beverage :) -One picks out their own lotion scent and their are many scents to choose from, I recommend the green tea or the lavender. -They offer Butter for a $3 dollar charge, I LOVE this line for it's durability & luster! #worthy -The proprietors are on top of their customer service and it shows. I had a not so great experience a few weeks ago, I communicated what occurred and they listened and ensured my granddaughter and I had a phenomenal experience this time around. Things will always go wrong somewhere (life was NOT intended to be perfect, hence people are not robots) as long as they are corrected all is good! I have been here a couple of times since the salon changed to Lotus. My first visit was fine. I had a gel mani which was pretty well done. Plus as a bonus, I got a brief shoulder & neck massage, which was a nice touch. My second visit was not good. First when I went in they told me to pick a color for my toes then before I had a chance to do that, they told me to go pick a fragrance for the scrub & lotion. After I chose my fragrance, I went back to look at colors for my pedi. Once again, I was rushed and they sat me down to soak my gel polish off before I picked my color. After I had my fingertips wrapped in foil, I was awkwardly trying yet again to pick my polish color. Again I felt very rushed and ended up with a color that I wasn't sure about. :-/ So then they take me to the pedi chair and I realized at that point that my boots were still on & I could not take them off myself because of the foil wraps on my fingernails. So the guy doing my pedi had to take off my boots & socks & roll up my jeans for me. Awkward! :-/ The guy did a prettt nice job on my pedi...however at the end they switched off for someone else to paint my toenails. Not a big deal but it seemed a little odd. So after toes were done, I had my gel mani. The lady doing the mani did an ok job at the time, but the polish did not last as long as most gel Manis before it started to chip & peel. (It only lasted a week & normally I get 10-15 days before it starts to chip.) So, fast forward a couple of weeks then I just happen to notice that my card was charged $95 for this visit. I could have sworn the total was supposed to be $65...that is what I normally pay for a pedi & gel mani. Plus I normally tip in cash. I stopped back in to inquire & they showed on their records that I was charged $35 for Pedi, $40 for mani, and $20 for tip. Unfortunately I lost the receipt that I signed so I have to take their word for it. But I honestly don't recall signing for $75 plus a $20 tip. From now on I will make sure to keep my copy of the signed receipt. However, the bottom line is that this experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth so I dont plan to go back here again. $95 for an awkard service & poor gel quality is not worth it. Very disappointing. I have had better & longer lasting Manis from other salons. read more

The look I say 4.5stars as this place is SUPER Cheque and extremely appealing. When it comes to the service and the way you are rushed around I have to say 2.5 stars because let's be clear NO ONE want to be rushed around when going to get a relaxing mani and pedi. The approach should be different at the front desk, I think they should ask "are you in a hurry or are you here to relax" or they should offer a DUAL mani and pedi for the person on the go. I've been twice now and my 2nd visit was better than my first as I made an appointment with Lein for a mani and pedi. Of course upon my arrival the manager says "you should let Anne do you pedicure then Lein will do manicure". I wanted to relax and chill so of course I just ran with it. I'm glad I did as I enjoyed my pedicure by Anne she is the youngest person in this place and if you look at first glance you'd think she was too young to do a good job BUT never judge a book AT ALL by its cover its seams it size it's NOTHING because when I tell you she put in WORK on Momma feet I mean it. The massage had me falling to sleep once I got to the manicure chair. I was almost fast asleep getting my manicure seriously. Lein did a good job on my gelish manicure and she was very fast and detailed at the same time. I'll be back soon, I'm loyal to my Cachet crew near Uptown as I like my one nail classy design with gel polish that my tech there does. This place need more staff and some knowledgable staff in design and such. I do like the fresh limes used on the toes and on the nails it's a FRESH & interesting approach. I would give this review a 5 if it was based on the nail tech, Kace. She did an excellent job. This is a review the person who did my pedicure. She was rude, pushed my foot from side to side abruptly, cut my cuticle and made it bleed and continued to polish my nail. My heels looked like they were never done. She was in a hurry and acted like she hated her job. IF I go back, I will only let Kace do my nails. This place has the worse customer service ever had my nails done here before and came the next day because one nail was chipped and they didn't want to fix my nail and then I came another time at 7pm and they close at 7:30 just for a simple gel nail polish and they said they were closed because they wanted to close earlier. Came here once because it was the only place I could get a spur of the moment appointment (that right there should have told me something!). When I came in there was a woman at the counter saying that she's been back twice in the past week to repair SNS nails that she'd gotten done there, which keep breaking and falling off. I recall her saying that she's been getting SNS nails for a long time at other places and this is the worse experience she's had. I was thinking that she is probably very picky and is blowing things way out of proportion. Not too long after she left, another woman came in with a complaint very similar. Well, lo and behold...within 2 days of my new SNS set 7 out of 10 of my nails had either popped off, chipped, or broke! Never again! Do not waste your money. read more

I am a regular at Lotus Spa. The staff is wonderful, and I always walk out with beautiful nails.

Honestly everything is really nice until it's time for polish. I regularly paint my nails on my own and do a good job and I would expect that a professional could do at least as well as I do. But I am now going home to either remove all of this polish or significantly clean it up. It's extremely heavy in some places, it's all over my cuticles and then near my nail beds you can almost see through it. Super disappointing. I have been here so many times and I am not sure why I keep coming back, unfortunately. Off to find a new salon! Note** gel might be a completely different experience but I like to change my polish every 5-6 days. read more

If I could give this place a lower rating than one I would. Horrible management in the sense of customer is not always right. I went to get my nails done I had a gel polish take off as well as a pedicure. When I got my ticket to pay the employee gave me A total of $40 when I got to the front the manager told me that she gave me the wrong price unfortunately that is not the customers fault, as they should inform your employees of the pricing prior to hiring them and allowing them to do nails. This place lost a long time customer over five dollars and unnecessary attitude. I will never ever come back to this nail spa or allow anyone down close to come back either. read more

had a AWFUL experience here. I received a full set of "coffin" shape (which was extra) acrylics which came out horrible. Multiple chips and very uneven. Each nail is a different length and cut into my nail bed all of this for the over priced price of $41!. After the horrible painful experience for some reason me and two other peoples cards were declined so we were forced to drive to the nearest Wells Fargo to pull out cash. I went in for a dip nail service 6 hours ago. I was somewhat surprised at how often my nail tech, who was also the manager of the spa was interrupted. That was okay and my nails looked fine except I found it odd that she layered them twice instead of the 3 or even 4 times I get at other spas. Now 6 hours later, they look terrible. I have not done anything rough with my nails in that time and they have already lost their shine and one is chipping. Very disappointing read more

I have been to the highest rated nail salons in Dilworth and Ballentyne during my time living in temporary housing, they all fall short of Lotus nails. Everything was great up until the polish ( I mostly go get a Pedi for the leg and foot rub) which looked pretty crappy with paint on my hand. I mean really bad.... my daughter's was even worse. They said hers was dry and it was basically ruined 10 minutes after we left. We definitely felt rushed at the beginning and end. Won't go back. read more

All male employees when I went in, changed my mind and wanted a basic instead of spa pedi because the lotions seemed expired and the guy who was supposed to do my pedicure ran around speaking in his native language about me requesting a basic pedicure like he was mocking me. When they finally did my nails with SNS the color of my nails didn't match the example at all and I was told I should have said something earlier. My nails were rough to touch and some of the color was clamped together! Very disappointed...the place is very nice but I'm not sure about the management and technicians! I had an appointment for gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was ok..not perfect but ok. Gel manicure was a disaster! I asked for specific color and the technician started applying it without even preparing my nails( clean the dead skin or file them..). At some point I realized that something was wrong with the gel..well...it was a regular nail polish!!!!! I noticed and pointed out!!! She didn't even know. I expected more experienced technicians..it took me three hours to get done and I wasn't even pleased...not going back!!!! read more

Tried this place right after it open because it's so convenient to my home. Brought 2 of my daughters and we all had basic manicures- nothing fancy. It took nearly 2 hours to have the 3 of us have our nails polished and all of us had chipping polish the next day. Today I gave the place a second chance. This time, I opted for a mid-range pedicure. My feet are no softer, the polish was poorly done, and the tech insisted I remove a toe ring that I've clearly had on for years. This service also took much longer than expected. I was really surprised to sign on and see the negative vibes. I loved my experience here. I love uptown so I usually bounce between 3 different nail salons based on crowd control. Polished was the first I went to in charlotte. The best part is the drinks, I always leave happy and feeling a little tipsy. But the nail jobs got worse over time: Dilworth is my favorite of all the options but it's too small and always overcrowded. So today, I decided to stop in the way home from my Waxhaw work place to avoid the crowds uptown. So glad I did. Calm, beautiful and attention to detail are the elements at this place. I had Lien who is sweet & pretty with soft hands (cuticle oil tip). My nails were natural looking for acrylic which is what I really like, no leftover cuticle skin or nail residue under or on side. Great job! I will be back for sure. Next time, pedicure too. No way I could go uptown again and settle for sloppy. read more

On the plus side: the place is beautiful and clean, the people are friendly and it is very relaxing. On the negative side: I wasn't really expecting or wanting a 'spa experience'. I just needed a refill and a pedicure -- which took 3 full hours! And they rushed at the end too. I guess I should have taken a different pedicure but I'm not really sure how much time that would have saved. And my toes chipped within a week -- something that very rarely happens to me. I may go back (not sure what other local choices I have) but I'll be sure to tell them I am in a rush. read more
