There has been a sad lack of customer service from Long and Wendy this past year, so I can't recommend anymore. The salon is no longer constantly busy, so I'm guessing I'm not the only patron they've treated poorly. The renovation? It's really, really bright inside now. The new pedicure chairs are flawed -- the frame isn't comfortable, and to make it worse they no longer massage -- just make a grinding noise. Finally, the pop music they play constantly is too loud, repetitive and annoying. Long, Wendy: you manage a nail salon that specializes in acrylics, dips and gels. Your customers can trip over similar salons anytime they pass a strip mall. You need to treat your long time customers with enthusiasm and gratitude, or you'll continue to lose them. read more

My husband and I have been a regular clients of this salon for more than four years and will never return. The manager/owner, Long insulted me for the last time. Services I scheduled in advance were made unavailable after I arrived and waited. My last visit was for a special occasion and I was rushed out with no concern for the time waited or services I needed to have done. My regular manicurist Tee was made unavailable after I waited an hour for her to return from a family illness. There are plenty of local salons that offer services without attitude. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! I had to wait over 30 minutes when I got here to be seen and then and then just because I had previously gotten ombré at another appointment weeks ago I couldn't just get a regular acrylic fill in with gel polish. However, I was not told of this until when I first got the ombré or when I was getting my fill in. If I had wanted an ombré fill in I would have said that. The ombré fill in cost a lot more than a regular fill in with gel polish. Also, to keep the shape I already had cost me extra as well. I got them trimmed down and while nothing was said to me about that at the time either I did expect to pay $5 for that. I got a pedicure too and that was done really well. I had a separate nail tech for each service. My pedicure was done by a younger guy and if you must go to this nail salon I would recommend him. But Wendi did my nails and I would NEVER recommend her. They were boasting about brand new pedicure chairs but were way understaffed to use them and give good customer service. They need to retrain all of their staff in proper customer service. I walked in to nail studio and was just looking for a regular gel mani. I was looking forward to it, especially because the color selection looked great and the reviews looked promising. I showed the manicurist the shape I wanted and she filed them alright...but not the shape I wanted(I was going to ballerina and got more of a square) The shock came after she filed my nails....I didn't get to wash my hands and she just started putting polish on my nails. Not only that, when she used the buffing block, she hurt my fingers beside my nails(you can see redness in the picture attached). She also did not TOUCH my cuticles... at all. Because the sides of my nails were hurt by the buffing block, every time I put my hands in the UV dryer, they BURNED. And it was incredibly painful when she put acetone on my fingers after. She shaped them perfect and they have wide selection of colors. I came in for just a fill in & they didn't try to pressure me into a pedi, eyebrows etc like other places do which I loved. They always look great, last forever, and I get so many compliments! I get the gel acrylic and they are indestructible! Lol. They are also always warm and friendly, know my name and ask me about my life, they remember details you share on previous visits. They make you feel like family. I don't agree with Kassia about the online scheduling. I think it was very clearly stated that it was a gel polish change that was selected. I am quite pleased with Nail Studio. I was seen in a timely manner for my pedicure. My technician took his time and did not rush me. I was very relaxed which is what I expect when coming for a pedicure. This is my 2nd time. First time coming here and I will be back for sure! Long did my SNS fill in and I am obsessed! They look amazing! He was careful and made sure they looked great. I have been a customer here for at least 7-8 years. Last Friday, I had an appt for a regular manicure (non-gel this time to give my nails a break) and in less than 24 hrs., the polish was blistering up and peeling off. Knowing Saturdays are busy for them, I waited to call on Monday morning and spoke with the owner about it. He questioned me "how many nails" and told him at least 5. He said to come in at 4:30pm, so they could see them. They redid the polish and again, yesterday, Tuesday, same thing started happening. Today, I went in to personally show him and his claim was that "regular polish doesn't last and takes longer to dry!" I told him I stayed until I was told they were good and that my research shows if the coats are applied without thorough drying in between, this is what happens!!! He did not want to hear that and said "it's something you are doing at home". Ladies, if you paint your own nails at home with "regular" polish, do they blister and peel in 24 hours? Mine never have. I am sad to write this because this has been my favorite nail salon for years, but an owner who is willing to lose a loyal customer over this is not a customer-oriented business owner. He could have offered to give me a credit toward my next service or spent pennies by offering to redo my nails with gel, but he said he couldn't do anything for me. I too am a business owner and customer service is my #1 priority. Apparently the $$ rules here, not customer satisfaction. PS. Visited this studio for SNS and pedicure for myself and my daughter. Tech did not remove the old SNS, just drimmeled it off along with some of my nail. Cut down the nails with clippers. Immediately started dipping the nails without filing them or manicuring cuticles. He finished about 80 percent, then filed, then took me to chair for pedicure. Then came and put on top coat. My fingers are so sore! There was excess powder all around my nails - looked terrible. When i went to the counter to pay, I asked if they were going to finish my service. He said it was finished and that the excess would come off when i washed my hands - not true. I was charged for a SNS manicure even though i did not received any manicure - not at all happy. I immediately made the appointment for my nails and a pedicure. I didn't have to wait. The staff was extremely nice, the salon was spotless. He did my pedicure. Trimmed my nails, clipped my cuticles, exfoliated and messaged my calves and feet. It was delightful.I I then got a gel fill in. He took great care with my nails. They are perfect. Went here a handful of times and was generally okay with the mani/pedi. Nothing amazing but nothing bad either. I liked that they used one time use file/buffer. Last time I went...the nail tech used her own fingernails to pick the gel polish off of my nails after soaking. I think that's the last time I'm going there. Pretty sure it's not very hygienic not to mention that it actually hurt. Then she used a regular (not one time use) nail file on my finger nails. Not okay given how easily it is to contract nail fungus at these places that way. Also, their foot "massages" during the pedicures are essentially nonexistent. I've been there twice. They're very friendly and engaging. They accommodate walkins easily and they do a fabulous job. I think their products are better than other salons because previous experience my acrylic nails would be cracking when i go in. I've noticed that my refills now are simply for the grow out. I used to go to another shop down the street but only 2 of their techs were good and they were loud rude and talked incessantly and only engaged with certain customers. I went to the Nail Studio about a month ago with my mom. Everything seemed fine, it was a little busy but the staff was nice. My nail tech cut my finger which hurt a few days but it eventually healed. My mani pedi was done in about 45 minutes but my moms took over an hour and half(Hers started before mine). The man who did her nails was very good but took a long time. The reason I am writing this is because when I took my toe nail polish off(I had it on a few weeks like I usually would) I had white spots all over my big toes. I have never had this happen before and its been over a week and it hasn't gone away. I was informed that this is actually nail fungus. I have had hundreds of pedicures and left polish on way longer than I did this time and this has never happened. According to google it could take weeks to months to go away. So I either have to pay to go to the dr to get meds or use over the counter meds for at least a month. I cant even go get another pedicure somewhere because I'm afraid of spreading it to someone else. Like I said the staff was nice but obviously the tools weren't clean or the polish itself was tainted. I will not be returning and I hope the owners see this and keep this from happening to someone else. read more

New to the area since reviews were great decided to try them out! I had a 10:30 appt and when I arrived at 10:25 had to sign in after almost 45 mins waiting finally someone acknowledged me. When I was seated in the chair I put my feet in the water they didn't turn on jets well come to find out it wasn't working properly ok no sweat I didn't wait to long until a young girl came to do my pedicure the only thing was she talked to damn low and I could not understand what she was saying because she was wearing a mask and every time I kept saying sorry I can't hear you she was annoyed and pulled her mask down to ask me a question. I have nothing negative to say about this place I'll give it another try but definitely with another person!
