My family and I just moved to Waxhaw and had a neighbor recommend this salon. We made an appointment for two pedicures on a Sunday afternoon and showed up 5 minutes early. Upon entering, we were not greeted or asked to check in, nor were we told someone would be right with us - all professional courtesies that take minimal effort. After being ignored for 10 minutes, we decided to leave as it was clear our business was either not needed or not wanted. Only when walking out did someone try to speak to us. At that point, it was too late. Will not be returning and will not recommend to others. read more

I love this nail salon! Today was my 2nd visit and I received a nail polish change - with gel polish - and a lip wax. My nail technician was exceptional and warm. I will say if you are looking for a clean facility, exceptional nail technicians, and just the perfect getaway to treat yourself, this is where you should be. I will be back! read more

I've been to this salon several times, as has my daughter. They do a fantastic job and I've never had any reason to complain about them. Notice the 1-star reviews: Stafanie has only ever given 1 review on 6/30/22, Emilee has only ever given 1 review on 6/27/22, and Shelby has given 5 reviews - of which 4 out of 5 are one star, and 1 review is 2 stars. If you're only giving BAD reviews and no good reviews of any business, etc.- then quite obviously you're the problem. Let's not forget that all of the 1-star ratings are within a 10-day period. I am new to the area looking for a good manicure and a good, clean, welcoming nail salon. I showed up for my appointment to a packed salon. After 15 minutes, I was motioned over (not greeted) to a chair and my fingernails placed in a solution for 45 minutes! My fingers were white, wrinkled and hurt. I've never had my gel polish removed in this manner before! No one said a word until the manager sat down, apologized for the hour wait and began my manicure. After being interrupted 3 different times when all work on my nails stopped, my manicure was finished. The salon was not clean, paper littering the floor and dirty towels scrunched up all around me. I have many more choices and will not return. read more

I do not recommend this place. SNS was way too think and shaping was awful. Wanted to redo them, she cut me so many times it was burning durning the removal and she refused to redo them after taking them off. Worst experience by far. read more

I'm a bit on the fence about Waxhaw nails. I went here with my 8 year old niece for a spa pedi for me and mani/pedi for her. It came highly recommended, but our first visit was just OK. I appreciated that they offer a kids version that would potentially allow her to have a salon experience without breaking the bank. When we arrived, we were immediately seated in massage chairs, but our service did not begin immediately (we had an appointment). After about 15 minutes, someone came to run the water in our tubs. My pedicure was nice overall and included a paraffin dip. My niece, however, sat with her feet soaking for almost the entirety of my service with no one tending to her. Two chairs down was another little girl having what seemed to be the time of her life. She was offered a drink and the nail technician showed her the massage chair controls. No one had offered drinks to us, so we didn't know this was an option. When my niece saw a Sprite come out for the little girl, she asked "Can I have one?" at which point we were offered drinks. I'm not saying there was bias going on ... I don't take accusations like that lightly. What I am saying, though, is that it felt like we weren't getting the best overall experience from our particular nail tech, compared to others. If I were by myself, I may've been OK with the low engagement. But the fact that I had a child with me ... it would've been nice to feel like they wanted to make her experience more special. It wasn't very "pampering" and little care was given to painting her nails. I may try them again because they were recommended to me, but I'm not in a hurry to go back. Perhaps it's nail sets and designs that they get most of their good reviews from. To me, service and product are equally important. I felt Waxhaw nails left much to be desired compared to others in the area. read more

A friend recommended so I was excited to try. I wanted a SNS manicure and just a regular pedicure. When I made my appointment, the manicure was scheduled for 60 minutes. The nail tech was finished with my nails in 30 minutes. In those 30 minutes, she cut me three times with the drill. Then my nails looked bumpy or had texture to them. I asked why and she told me that I put them upside down on the towel - Um, no that didn't happen. You forgot to buff them before putting on the top coat. The nail tech doing my regular pedicure redid my big toes three times. My toes still look like a kid did them. Then the price was crazy expensive.
