Was looking for a place open late on Sundays to take me as a walk in. Magnolia is open until 7:00 and I came around 5:45 and was helped immediately. All of the staff were welcoming and very sweet. Seemed like every customer that came in they knew by name and have genuine friendships with. Their actual services were also excellent, my nails are the exact shape I asked for, very precise and were done in a timely manner. They did not skip on quality work though I came in close to closing time. I didn't catch my nail tech's name but she was very nice and conversational. read more

My daughter had a pedicure from the young girl who, I am not even sure is licensed because she says "I just do whatever they tell me." The next evening she came home from work with a throbbing toe. It was red, inflamed and puss filled. We had to do an urgent care visit and she was placed on powerful antibiotics to clear it up. The dr said it was definitely from the pedicure because of where the girl dug into the nail bed. I have the dr report and am filing with the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology, but wanted to let others know to beware. She spent $70 on a nice pedicure package to get sick. The older lady in the salon is snippy and rude and I have heard her arguing with someone who came in with a problem after a nail appt. She refuses to refund and blames chipped nails on the customer. They are a lot cheaper than some other salons and now we know why. Please be careful if you go there and ask for Kakanon, I think his name is, he is great. I'm still concerned about the cleanliness though after my daughters infection. read more

I had an appointment at another salon today, but as soon as I walked into that place I changed my mind. I took a chance that Magnolia might be able to fit me in for a full set and pedicure. They did and B did both. He was so meticulous about my nails and toes that I will definitely go back. My acrylics are perfect and I told him I really done enjoy having my toes done even though I knew they needed some attention! He was very careful and kept checking to see if I was okay. After getting turned down by Exquisite Nails for a fix on one single nail I turned to this nail salon in hopes they would take me in. I walked in and told them that I just needed one nail redone since it had spilt, they immediately took me to match my previous nail color and then we went straight to a chair no hassle, no question. They were such nice people with great customer service and very easy to talk to. The nail tech was delightful and willingly tried multiple colors to find the perfect match without me asking. I felt so welcomed after getting rudely rejected by the previous salon. The location for this nail salon is very convenient and the staff is friendly enough. I had a pedicure and gel manicure. I have a nail that is very weak and indented on top. I wanted the nail to get a short tip to protect it and I thought a fill in to even out the nail bed was the best thing The skill of the technician is my concern. I was being serviced by one technician and I'm not sure the reasoning but my technician had to ask the other for the particular products form the male technician to complete my requested service. The male technician didn't think the fill was necessary. It came out awful and I wanted to speak to the other technician but the technician said she would speak with him. Please DO NOT go here!!! I've got manicures almost every two weeks since I was about 14. I only went here because my work availability only allowed me to be off on Sunday this past week. I made an appointment and was seated promptly. That's where anything positive ends. The gentleman who did my nails proceeded to cut my cuticles. I always push my cuticles back. Any manicurist I've ever had always moisturizes and pushes them back as well. I started bleeding almost immediately. He then continued to file my nails during which time he slipped multiple times causing me to bleed again. Now I have a serious infection in my knee nail bed. read more

They actually told me they didn't know because there was no one available. If i could give them zero stars I would. The reason I picked then was they had good reviews. I happened upon this nail salon and made a last-minute decision to go in for a gel manicure. I could not have been more pleased! They took great care and did a quality job! A few days later I went back in, as I had cracked and broken one of my nails. They fixed it with great care at no charge. Great personalities, wonderful service, and a clean spa. Terrible service, i set an appointment for 11 o'clock am & as soon as i got there they got started on my nails but i didn't leave until 1:30. My nails look awful & it took him that long & the only reason i didn't get them fixed is because i had to be to work at 2 pm. I had one good experience with them which made me come back but this second time was really bad. I came to get a refund & they told me no & that they can re do it. I didn't want them re done i wanted my money & the older lady argued with me & told me no refund. & there is no sign or policy that says they can't do refunds so I'm very upset. !! Never will i ever come back the customer service is always good but the quality of my nails are just awful & the older lady is very rude. read more

The tech that waited on me was very attentive and personable and she did not rush the process despite other clients waiting which is HUGE for me especially in the service industry. Miss Annie and her daughters, along with a few others, are the nail techs and they do an amazing job! They're very detailed in their work, and my nails always look great! I get my manicures, full sets, lip waxed, etc here. The pedicures are awesome from the pedicure itself, to the amazing massage chairs that they have! They even have a tiny massage chair for your princess to get her pedicure done too! I truly love going here b/c it is really like family. We visited Magnolia nail at opening on a Sunday after we attempted to call and voicemail was full. When we entered and told them we had gift certificates, they asked if I called and I advised that their VM was full and I had tried. They said they could fit us in after the appointments (there were only 2 appointments present the entire time we were there!) we asked what the price would be for just a pedicure bc the gift certificate stated $10 -nail and foot polish but we wanted just a full pedicure. They said $15 kids/$25 adult. No problem. When we finished, they attempted to charge me for $20/kid. When I advised that was not the price we were given, they proceeded to be adamant about the price and then said..and I quote "because she bigger, she $20 the others fine $15. (pointing to my niece who turned 10 2 weeks ago.) This was not only harmful to hear for my niece and for the other ladies but also dishonest. My father had taken these same girls there 2 months prior and was only charged $15 for mani and pedi. I gave 2 stars bc my technician was polite and did a good job. The "boss" and her discrimination will keep us from returning. read more
