Our family had Martin Luther King Jr. Day off so we took our girls to Kohl Children Museum in Glenview. This location is 25 minutes away from the children museum so it is not exactly close. However, this location has dine-in and it is along the way for us to be home bound. It looks like a lot of the suburban Lou Malnati's locations are primarily take-out only. Monday afternoon was slow with a few tables dining in and there was only one server available. She was attentive and friendly. Our food was promptly ordered and served. We had the combination appetizer platter with fried ravioli, mozzarella bites, and mushroom poppers and a large thin-crust pizza with pepperoni.

Enjoyed it as always. When back in the Chicago area, a visit to a Lou's is a must. The two of us popped into this Lou's location around 5:15 pm on a Wednesday. The place wasn't super busy. Maybe 30% full. It took about 10 minutes before a server came by to take our order. Maybe they were short staffed. We ordered: - Small Malnati's Salad - Small Malnati Chicago Classic Pizza Sausage plus Mushrooms - Two Peroni beers The salad was excellent. Love that slightly sweet dressing. The pizza was great - as always! Various servers popped by several times during dinner. Our primary server, Heather S was great!

We stopped at Lou Malnati's near the Chicago airport for one last authentic deep dish experience before heading home, and it did not disappoint! We were warmly greeted right at the door around lunchtime, which set the tone for a great meal. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere--big and open, with a modern American country/Italian vibe. Lots of seating, a bar with a TV at one end, and even a fireplace that I'm sure makes the space extra cozy in the cooler months. It felt welcoming and comfortable for both families and groups. We ordered two pizzas--a vegetarian and a pepperoni deep dish--along with drinks. As expected, deep dish takes a while to cook (about 45 minutes), but it was worth every second. When the pizzas came out, they were bubbling hot and absolutely delicious. This was my first time having true Chicago deep dish, and I wasn't sure what to expect. The crust was almost like a fresh sourdough--thick, flavorful, and the perfect base for all that sauce and cheese layered on top. The pepperoni was my favorite: the sauce was rich, the cheese perfectly gooey, and the flavor all around was amazing. The vegetarian was also really good, though I felt it could have used just a little more punch in the sauce. Still, both pizzas were excellent and very filling. There were six of us dining, and two lunch-size pizzas were more than enough--we even had leftovers to take with us. Prices were a little higher than I initially expected, but honestly fair for the quality and portion sizes. They also had ready-to-go pizzas at the front, which looked like a great option if you're short on time. Our server was phenomenal--super friendly, attentive, and quick with refills and recommendations. She really made the experience even better. If you're near the airport and want one last taste of Chicago before heading out, I highly recommend stopping here. Great food, great service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere made this the perfect way to end our trip!

    Disgusting XL thin crust sausage.

This is the second time we've receive undercooked garbage pizza at this location. Pizza looked like it wore sunscreen in the oven. Soggy crust. I hope the kitchen receives the message. We won't be back. Awful. So embarrassing to have friends visit and this is what we got.

Had guests over and had to try the famed Chicago deep dish pizza. It was totally worth the hype. Delicious, gooey, warm, sweet and tasty! We ordered Lou's pizza - vegetarian by preference with oodles of cheese combined with the buttery crust! Such a sheer delight. Service was great and the vibe was casual and friendly! We had a great time at Lou Manatis

My first experience with deep dish pizza was at this Lou Malnati's location for dinner one Sunday evening. I was honestly most surprised with the style of decor of the restaurant. I had anticipated your typical Italian theme and color palate, but was greeted by warm wood tones, industrial vibes, and farm and farmhouse decor. Our server was friendly and helped us decide on the sizes of pizzas we should order based on how hungry we were. We ordered both a thin crust with just cheese and a classic deep dish with the sausage in it and butter crust. The pizza wasn't as heavy or dense as I thought it would be, but it definitely reminded me of a savory pie. I thought the thin crust was ok. I really enjoyed the sauce and the cheese. As a NY style pizza fan, I was happy to try it all out, but I don't think i'll be dreaming about deep dish.

Very friendly staff. Waitress helped me pick out my pizza. Deep dish with sausage and mushroom. The place is real retro looking. Huge chandeliers. Dim lighting. It takes about 30 mins for your order, So don't be in a hurry. I got my order. I small deep dish. It was small but just the right size for me. Good flavor and good sauce. This place was recommended by some local friends. I can see why they said that this place was awesome. I think they said "best in town". This was my first try at Chicago style deep dish pizza. I thought it was good. Note to self: i went to another location and surprise! It was only a pickup location. No seats, no tables, or eat in area. Check you're locations before you go for a sit down restaurant. I will be coming back.

When I watched people on tv eating Chicago style pizza, this is what I always imagined. Overall, the ambiance was 90s nostalgia, it reminded me of the 90s pizza huts where you were able to eat inside. Our wait or was super attentive and gave great customer service! I had done my research and everything I read said to get the "Lou", which essentially has a bunch of veggies. My husband and I were not disappointed. The taste was spectacular. I enjoyed every bite and had my expectations exceeded. The crust had a nice texture and the pizza wasn't soggy even though there were tomatoes. It was truly the best chain Chicago pizza we had and I would 100% return :)

very solid deep dish chain!! the crust is crunchy yet light. i got the spinach deep dish and also added tomatoes and mushrooms. the service is pretty friendly, and ambiance is very casual. i ordered to-go, and it was just as delicious at home. would definitely recommend! note: previously, i tried the personal pizza and i would not recommend that. the full size is where it's at!

It has been years since we've been here. Still awesome! The small deep dish with pepperoni, mushroom, onion was plenty for the 2 of us. We started with the Stuffed Spinach Bread and it was good but half the cheese inside was not melted. Next time I would ask for it well done. We got an extra side of nice warm Marinara Sauce. So good, I could eat it straight! We were happy that they had Marlborough New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine.

This place never disappoints. I went there late night around 10pm on a Tuesday night. It was almost empty. Ordered deep dish Malnati Chicago Classic personal size. I really enjoyed it. I received quick and great service as well.

They decorated it with hanging plants, some art, a fish tank. A slight haze of smoke. Desserts on display. I'd say the finest work of art here are the prepped skewers, waiting to be thrown on their charcoal grill. My gaze was fixed on the meat display as if I was Cookie Monster at Crumbl. I composed myself and took a seat. They have great hot and cold appetizers. They have breakfast! Check out their menu, I've included a pic. Lahmacun is a crunchy brick oven flatbread with ground meat. It feels so light, airy, and crunchy, you could eat the whole thing and later say "..um, I ate the whole thing". We ordered a few King Chef's mixed grill platters. It is a medley of filet morsels, chicken, lamb chops, shawarma, shish kebab, and many other things, along with bulgar and fries. Why are their fries so good? Okay, so I know we're just talking about lemonade, but their house made lemonade is so good. We also loved their tea. We went way overboard on desserts. We just kept pointing at sharable items like John Travolta to the Bee Gees. All of the desserts were delicious. For some reason, the simplest of them, rice pudding, won the dessert battle that day. They have plenty of intriguing items that will lure me back, and I'm looking forward to it!
