7/24/25: ordered the Legendary tip dinner and it was excellent! Got 2 sides, fries and garlic mashed potatoes with brown gravy on the side, brown gravy was delicious!!! I don't get what the big deal is. It's one of the only places open in Sturgis in the off season so that is a deciding factor. The food was ok and the prices are decent. Everyone says the steak tips are amazing but they're fried and breaded pieces of steak with rough to chew spots in every second or third one. The naked steak tips are better in my opinion. Looks like a cool place to hang out with indoor & outdoor music stages for live bands. They're running a limited menu for the upcoming motorcycle event. We weren't impressed so we just ordered drinks. Was sad to see a martini poured in a plastic cup! $1 charge for tap water is ridiculous! We sat down. No service. We left. The restaurant was not busy at all. Maybe 10% full. When we entered the waitress said to sit anywhere. So we entered and sat near the center of the restaurant. After sitting about 15 minutes two people sat at the table next to us and a waitress immediately provided them menus. There was another waitress that was standing in the area doing nothing but looking around and standing. Since we received no service and were completely ignored we left and went to another restaurant in town. At this restaurant we were met at the door, seated, immediately received a menu and drinks in about 5 minutes. read more

The Army Band was rocking the tent area during the Sturgis Rally. There was plenty of space to sit and enjoy the show! The waitress did a great job managing our group that arrived at different times. The food was delicious! Very fun! read more

I come to Loud American whenever I'm in Sturgis. Good beer, great friendly service, and I'm obsessed with their Eggs Benedict.

I had the cuban sandwich with garlic mash, my son had the loud burger and the hubby had a foot long of onion rings. The food is delicious and the service was outstanding. The guy that served us was at the bar and he is perfect to greet people. I highly recommend and I will definitely go back. read more

We had a nice easy lunch here during the off season so it was not crowded. Our server was friendly and the place was clean. We started with a 12 count onion ring appetizer, followed by Cobb salads with a delicious ranch dressing. The chicken in the salads was so tender and tasty. Fried Food. Limited menu. Service so so. Like so much of Sturgis, everything centers on two weeks a year. Ended up driving 17-30 miles to get a real quality meal that wasn't frozen and fried and our money was spent elsewhere as well. What are you people thinking. We just had dinner here. We ordered regular margaritas and the server brought them up and asked if strawberry margaritas was ok. No and sent them back and asked for the regular margaritas. About ten minutes later they were brought to us. I don't know what they put in them but they were sweeter than a cup of sugar. So we sent them back. and got a mixed drink. $12 for a Tito's and tonic. Food was serviced and we had both ordered steak tips and mashed potatoe. The tips were just breaded tips with garlic and deep fat fried. They looked more like chicken gizzards than steak. Mashed potatoes were heavily cooked using a ton of garlic salt. This was one of the worst meals I've ever eaten. I can not and will not recommend The Loud American to anyone I don't eat much fast food but McDonalds would have been better. read more

Very cool place nice staff professional. Very good menu and a quick a Seemed all u can eat salad bar??? I did not ask...but it looked really good fresh and clean. Distribution on the place is great with bar seating to ones side and tables to the other. Mid room has a stage for live bands..so that tell you the place must great awesome later at night. *Re writing my review as management quickly addressed and remedied the billing situation. I actually greatly appreciate that they monitor the reviews and took action so quickly on the billing issue. That said, my wife was disappointed in the Stuffed French Toast. The bread was super thin, I know this may sound trivial, but we specifically came in for her to try the Stuffed French Toast with "Two pieces of thick-cut toast" and it was for lack of a better word, disappointing. Steak tips were SO tender I could cut with a fork. I loved the smashed tots as a side. The wing sauce was really good but there was something about the texture of the wings I personally didn't care for though I would give them another shot if I was wanting some wings. read more

It's Sturgis, so most of the restaurants that aren't fast good joints are "bar food" restaurants. The Loud American is no different. Most everything on the menu is fried except for a couple burgers and sandwiches and the salads. If you want fine dinning Sturgis is not the town to be. read more

It's a sad day when the manager at this establishment who claims she has been here for years doesn't know anything about liquor laws. When I called her out on it she accused me of being drunk. Keep in mind I don't drink. you're a manager and you can't tell the difference between a sober person or a drunk person? Wow!!!! Scary this is the manager at a bar.
