We heard a lot about this place and finally found time to go there.i went with the wife to meet some friends. Our waitress, Reese, was stupendous! She was friendly, answered all questions about the menu. She was on her game as we got drinks in a timely fashion including our refills and the food order was taken quickly and accurately. They have plenty of help, so our food was delivered quickly. I had the cheesesteak while the wife had the caramel burger. Both were delicious. Our friends had the gizmo and they loved them. I found this place on Yelp and it was surprising good! The dining room was empty when we arrived but a few people showed while we dined. The bar seemed very busy. Service was great-no issues there. It was surprising that they were so empty. My dining companion LOVED the beef and cheddar-the beef was very tender and juicy. My Buffalo chicken wrap was FAT. Cool little place. Had lunch here with my son. He had fish chips I had wings. Both of our meals were good. I thought my wings were cooked perfect. Somehow extra crispy and super moist. I wasn't a fan of the sauce I chose tho. I'm sure it's good and quality wasn't an issue. I just didn't like it. I think it was a Memphis sauce. I should have went with regular hot. this place has great reviews, but I'm not sure how. The staff was friendly, but had major miscommunications. I'm one of those people who likes to research a restaurant before I go, and this place was nothing like the website. Said online that they had happy hour M-F 7-9pm and had deals on drinks and apps. Got to the restaurant and waitress tells us that they got rid of happy hour, but it's still on the website for some reason. Super upset about that. Got the orange crush to drink as a recommendation from the waitress. It was good, but nothing better than I've had elsewhere. Was let down by the fact that it was almost a $10 drink but didn't specifically say what type of liquor was in it, so it could have just been well liquor, and for $10 that's crazy. Cheese curds as an appetizer were average but good. I got the caramel burger as my entree and it was delicious! Stand out menu item FOR SURE. Fries were nothing special. Long story short, would I come back here? Maybe. It was close to $100 for 4 people to have an app, some drinks, and burgers. Not insanely priced but also not super affordable. The atmosphere was.. interesting. Lots of old people, but also lots of drunk middle aged people. Nothing really special there in my book. I've eaten here twice. Both times were fantastic. I've never been here when it's crowded and I've only ever eaten in the dining room. Super casual joint. Great service from the waitstaff. First time I had tomato soup and grilled cheese both were excellent. I thought about that soup for days. I cannot remember what my friend had but she loved it. I got the beignets to go for my mom. She didn't like them. I thought they were ok. Second time we had an appetizer: soft pretzels with a cheese dip (yum). I had a Greek style grilled chicken wrap that was phenomenal. Friday date night with wifey. Restaurant was full, no open seats in the bar area and found out after arriving they take reservations (will call ahead next time). Wait wasn't too bad... maybe 20-30 minutes for walk-ins. Now to the food... I got the "Caramel" smash burger and it was delicious. Caramelized bacon and onions... so good. Wife got the "Louie" cheesesteak which she enjoyed. Hand cut fries were not too crispy but not too soft either. Great compliment to the burger. Decent selection of beer on tap from domestics to IPAs. Went to Louie's in Flying Hills today. I have been there many times for the best burger ever but brought a friend from CT who had been there once and agreed on how amazing the burgers taste. We decided since it was later afternoon to order something different. First we saw beanless chili n were excited as we don't like beans. It said spicy n was called Screamer but we still decided to share a cup. We asked for no onion on top but it came filled with raw onions on top which we picked off. We could handle 2 bites as wow it's spicy but had great flavor. Took the rest to go as I have a friend that loves heat. I ordered the chopped steak. I said no mushrooms but onions ok. It came with mushrooms all over it. I asked them to take it back n just throw the mushrooms off. It was absolutely delicious with mashed potatoes n broccoli. My friend had the shrimp tacos with crispy fries n loved it. Their fries are seasoned n yummy Everyone there is always nice. GROSS! Went downstairs to use the restroom and the floors were coated with grease and grim. The toilets looked like they haven't been cleaned in 4 years. The floors were so slippery and disgusting it made me question what the kitchen looks like. I'd call the health department but honestly that's more work than I'm willing to give this situation. The food was overall alright. We didn't have enough napkins and the silverware was provided in a cup on the table. Not a fancy place, clearly run by high school kids working summer jobs. The beignets were overcooked (not great), my parents said they had them before and they were way better the first time. The restaurant section has both indoor and outdoor seating options. While just about everything on the menu is a heartstopper, it's an enticing mix of burgers, specialty sandwiches, bar foods and sides. There are a handful of meat-less options including a sandwich made with carrot bacon (!) and several salads. Draft list is OK, but the drink prices were reasonable and we were told the pours are generous. Mom had a fish taco, tomato bisque and fries, Dad had the fish and chips. On our server's recommendation, I went with the Caramel Burger (think smashburger) and was not disappointed. Mom had good things to say about the bisque, and Dad gave the fish a thumbs up. The crinkle fries are fried in bacon fat, according to the menu Looking forward to another meal here; reserving that 5th star until I confirm consistency. But I was very happy with my meal. I trusted other Yelper's opinions on this place and relied on the directions to arrive from our route that was from the southern side of town. There should have been a warning that it was located off a twisted two-lane road in a mountainous region that individuals drove as if on a racetrack. I told my husband that "this place better be terrific" when getting out of the car. Unfortunately several factors didn't give them all five stars. We arrived about 3 pm to an almost empty cold restaurant and bar that overlooked a pool and golf course. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and took our drink orders. We decided on the double BLT sandwich and the beef and cheddar sandwich. Both arrived quickly within a few minutes with a bag of chips. My sandwich was enormous and the beef looked like it was cut from a pot roast - great big chunks of meat. Both of us were very happy with the lunch. We did ask for a refill, but it was a little slow in coming. The value of our sandwiches was good, considering that you could eat half, take half home and get two meals out of the order. Overlooking the pool and golf course was nice, but the restaurant was freezing and too cold to enjoy it for too long. read more

Went at lunchtime and ordered the caramel burger. It was sooo delicious! Would come back for it again. The fries were soggy, so I was glad that I ordered the side salad instead. My table ordered the open faced steak (an actual steak), Oklahoma burger and smash burger. I might be biased, but I think mine was the best. How can this place be 4.5 stars? Service is poor and food is average. We visited several days before Christmas and service was poor; one server running around, tables not cleaned off, waited long time for the check. We did not blame the server as she had no help. At one point the server was helping in the kitchen, only one chef was working, trying to clean tables, taking orders, and answering the phone. Three of the TVs were not working and the addition of various dated Philadelphia memorabilia is tacky. It did not feel like a Sports Bar at all. Food was average and because there was limited staff, it took a long time to get the food. We have been to the restaurant many times in the past 18 months and the food and service are trending down. Two months ago we complained to the owner about the service and he said "give us another try, I'm working to improve service." Well, we came back and nothing improved, we will not be returning. If you want some advice, go back to your original menu, take the dated football shirts down, spruce up the tables and chairs, put on some good music, and hire some experienced workers. Right now the restaurant lacks an identity which is contributing to poor service and average food. read more

We had been here before and had a decent experience but most of the servers/bartenders we knew either left or got fired for allegedly stupid reasons. We stopped going for months but about 3 months ago decided to give it another try. There are some really good servers/bartenders there but the owner is ridiculous with his "rules" regarding people in the bar area! We went in to have dinner with our 18 year old son and sat at a high top only to be told we couldn't sit there and had to go to the dining room since our son wasn't 21! It was dinner that's all, and we were not sitting at the bar! Not sure we will go back, especially with our family! read more

The food is great. The atmosphere is great. We went early to avoid the lunch crowd. It got busy real quick and the service went away. I ran out of ice tea. We waited 30 minutes for the check and to go boxes. We will definitely try it again. I recommend having an additional person to check on the tables occasionally. Had lunch today. Huge, delicious Cuban salad of baked ham & pulled pork. This was served over greens. The Plantains were a nice addition. Mustard vinaigrette served on the side. Enjoyed the flavors!
