Overall (A-) It's a great safe bet neighborhood pizza place. Not the best but really good. Try it out. Value (B) It's expensive without a coupon. It was $32 for the extra large pizza which feeds 4. It's 8 slices. It's actually good for 3-4 servings. Usually we can get 6-7 servings when we spend that much on a pizza. We didn't have the coupon but you get a free smaller pizza with it. Makes it a much better value Service (A+) The pizza was ready early and the owner is fantastic. Super nice guy. I want small business owners like him to win and be successful. I hope he does really well. Excellent customer service Food (B+) It's a good safe bet pizza place. Wasn't anything amazing or anything bad. In our house we all have different pizza tastes. It was a good product but nothing memorable. Clearly had fresh ingredients and I didn't feel like Yuck after eating it. Didn't feel heavy or processed. The pizza did look amazing. But the taste didn't match completely For me I like Jets pizza and little pops better. The kiddos thought this was on par with rosatis or uncle Pete's. Didn't really stand out like we expected it would. Maybe I am being critical since I was expecting a whole lot more based on the reviews. Maybe I will have to try the gyros and update. Either way give it a try - you won't be disappointed but you may not be blown away either. Make sure you use the coupon for the order

Have tried the gyros and pizza here, and both are legit. I ordered the regular gyros, but the chicken gyros looked amazing but weren't fully cooked yet. Anyway, the gyros are good, and pizza is classic Chicago tavern style: thin crispy crust with ample toppings. I ordered half pepperoni and half sausage. Fresh garlic on all. Both were good. Sausage had some nice fennel notes. It's a bit greasy, but very good. The owner is a heck of a nice guy. I love supporting local small businesses. Give them a yry. You won't be disappointed.

All yummy, though I found the Youvetsi overly salty, but the underlying grill flavor was divine. I had the gyros, which was huge, crispy, and some of the best I've ever had. Even the tomato was so fresh I'd have thought they picked it just for me. Ended up with banana cream napoleon and bougatsa for dessert. The service was beyond amazing, and food was hot. Only downsides... rather than raising prices they tack on an extra 3% that sneaks in the bill. And the prices were already very high. ($260 before tip). We were also charged $2 more for the dip trio than was on the menu. And while I know it's common these days, it was very noisy. I'd recommend eating outside if the weather allows, if you want to have conversations. We'll still go back though. Just not often for that cost.

The restroom was clean and well decorated. My only issue was that once I got home, I felt some acidity in my stomach which usually happens if I eat fried food cooked in used oil. All in all, it's a nice place and I will certainly come back. In fact I want to bring our of town friends over here when they visit.

Background: It was our son's birthday, MOST of the time, birthday dinners are home-cooked family affairs...his choice this year: Apolis run! We live forty minutes away, and it's worth the ride every time. Our party of seven lined up, placed our orders, and the kitchen got to work. Entrees and sides prepared perfectly, right down to sauce on the side for the seventh entree. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, Mike G. I had the opportunity to thank him for years of great eating. Furthermore, I noticed the sign of a great leader: When it got busy, he jumped in and helped his amazing staff. He leads by example, and it shows. We all had various forms of rice bowls and pitas. Of special note this visit: The sides! The pork and chicken souvlaki are simply divine. The oven roasted Greek potatoes seems like they're right out of your favorite rah-ra's oven. Full of flavor, and mind-blowing. The rice pudding and baklava, as my SIL said, ..."took a 98 point visit and made it a 100 point visit...". My thanks to Mike G. and the amazing staff for a wonderful meal. It was greater than great, and for a family birthday meal, I wouldn't want anything less. Until next time...tk

A few "highlights" of our visit: Dishonesty: A server lied and said there was no kids' menu (which is clearly listed on their website) just to avoid a meal substitution. When I asked about ordering chicken tenders, the server told me they didn't have a kid's menu and were only making an "exception" for my daughter. I later found the full kids menu on their website. Instead of simply explaining an age policy, he chose to be dishonest and was visibly annoyed that I even asked. Being Ignored: It took 20 minutes and multiple people flagging down a server just to get one bottle of Coke. I asked the female waitress 3 times for the Coke and she repeatedly looked at me and ignored me. It took 20 minutes and 3 family members calling out to the server to get her attention. Disrespect: The hostess literally put her hand in my face when I politely asked for a to-go bag. I politely asked the hostess for a to-go bag, she actually put her hand in my face and told me to "hold on." When she finally returned, she mean mugs me and handed me the bag without a word even after I gave her an underserved thank you. If this were my party, I'd be demanding a refund. This place makes other local diners look like five-star establishments. Unbelievable and completely disappointing. Will never be returning.

Wow! This place REALLY surprised us…read more We were looking for something different from the usual burgers, pizza, and tacos routine after my girlfriend mentioned she'd been craving gyros. Naturally, I started searching for places nearby, and while there was no shortage of options, Nicky's immediately stood out. Their photos looked incredibly well presented, with gyro meat piled high and genuinely generous portions. When we arrived just before 7 PM, the parking lot was nearly full, and after our experience, I can absolutely see why. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They could tell it was our first visit and happily walked us through the menu, answering every question with genuine warmth and patience. The food itself was excellent. Everything came out piping hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The gyro meat was tender without being overly fatty or dry. The hand-cut fries were especially impressive, perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. The onion rings and mozzarella sticks were equally well executed. The real showstopper, though, was the imported Greek baklava. I've had baklava from many different regions and styles over the years, and this was easily some of the best I've ever had. Rich, syrupy, incredibly flavorful, with a heavier note of cinnamon layered throughout that made it truly stand out. The menu is expansive, covering all the classic greasy spoon favorites you'd hope for, and the restaurant itself was clean, bright, and bustling with people clearly enjoying themselves. Near the end of our meal, the same staff member who helped us at the counter came by to check on us and ask if we needed anything else, which was a really nice touch. She also mentioned this is the original family-owned location, and honestly, that care and pride really shows. Overall, a fantastic first experience, and we're very glad we decided to stop in.
