They have lovely sides like okra, red bean & rice, and steamed vegetables (other chicken places do not offer fresh vegetables like this) they work as quickly as possible and do not ignore Black customers as other places ran by other minorities do. I enjoyed the fish combo and you can get options like catfish, red snapper etc., as your fish options rather than them just battering up any fish or tilapia. I love that I was asked about my options. They also even have adapted to modern food trends like chicken and waffles unlike popeyes. This is a great local place for Carson residents or anybody else in the South bay. I've ordered shrimp fried rice from this place several times which was very good. I had an order yesterday which was great. My husband wanted more today so I picked up another order. It was like night and day. What could have happened within 24 hours? I took this order back to them and asked what happened. Maybe a different cook, etc. The old lady at the counter act like she didn't know what I was talking about or could not understand. A younger lady stepped in with all kinds of attitude yelling "you can have your money back". All I wanted was an explanation as to why the food tasted so different. Judging from their menu and the size of the place, they probably only specialize in one or two things (chicken and shrimp). The asian lady that works (owns?) here was very nice and the food came out pretty quickly. That said, I ordered the leg/thigh/wing 3pc fried chicken, the shrimp fried rice, and the gumbo. The seasoning on the chicken is actually amazing. Skin was nice and crispy, chicken cooked perfectly inside and out. The shrimp fried rice is the same as any other place, but they actually put a large amount of shrimp in there which is a plus. The gumbo... I've been looking for a replacement for Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits which is a part of my regular circuit for fried chicken, as it's quality has been on a steady downhill slope for the past couple of months. I've known about the Louisiana Fried Chicken embedded into my local China Bowl Express, but I've hesitated to try it due to obvious reasons. A quick Yelp search showed this to be the closest standalone location so I tried it a couple of days ago. It's a small take out place that is located in the corner of a large plaza so accessibility and parking is not an issue. At the peak lunch hour there were already a couple of folks in line so that was a good sign. After going through the many different menu options I decided to get the 3 piece fried chicken combo ($4.89) which includes 3 pieces legs and thigh (dark meat), one side and a dinner roll. In hindsight I should have probably got their half chicken dinner ($6.19) which would have allowed me to sample both the white and dark meat, but that's for another time. I'm not sure if they take cards as I paid in cash considering the small amount. The orders were fulfilled pretty quick and I was off which my chicken in under 10 minutes. Upon opening the package the first thing that struck me was the sheer amount of fries that they had given with my order, huge. I had to literally dig the chicken out from underneath the mountain of fries. The chicken did not look very appealing but it had been fried perfectly. Crispy outside skin encasing the nice juicy flesh inside. Taste-wise I was not a very big fan of the seasoning and truthfully I would prefer Popeyes any day over Louisiana Fried Chicken, but I guess that's because I've been regularly eating at Popeyes, KFC and Jollibee. The dinner roll was crumbly and seemed at least a couple of days old. I think this taste can grow on me if I try it a couple of more times so yeah I'm a fan. read more

Whenever I'm in Carson, I always call in my order for the 20 piece shrimp (medium) only which comes with a Hawaiian roll and seafood sauce on the side. I've found the fried chicken here to be consistently good, and it's closer to me than Jim Dandy. I always get half wings and half legs, and they're always seasoned well and the skin is crispy but not overcooked. They also have a good selection of sides which are reasonably priced -- regular cups of potato/mac salad/cole slaw and a generous heaping of tater tots are all around $2. There's a bit of a language barrier which causes issues in service. Whenever I come in, I usually see a customer arguing with the employees about some ordering issue. The inside of the location is absolutely nasty. They put no money into presentation unlike the other stores around here. Owners do not like black people. They only hire asians. Cameras everywhere and they have bullet proof glass up (even though this is a safe middle-class neighborhood). They charge for water. They charge for drink refills. No bathroom.
