The Buffalo Spot is the type of place to go with your friends in college when you're tight on cash. The workers are super nice and straight to the point with their deals. The best deal, in my opinion, is their Tuesday 60-cent wings. It's $3 for 5 boneless wings, which makes it a great place on a whim. I personally enjoyed their mango habenaro and their garlic parmesean. I decided to stop by for some chipotle chicken fries on my way home, I usually tend to go to the one by CDULB but this location is much closer to home. I placed my order on the phone and mentioned that I'd be arriving in 20 minutes. I usually tend to go a bit later than my arrival time to buy the cooks more time. I arrived 30 minutes after and my food still wasn't ready. Specially during covid 19, I like to go in and quickly grab and go. I come to find out that they hadn't stared my fries and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes, totaling a 50 minute wait period. It's a shame that this particular location lacks in my take out service. Aside from the long wait, the food was standard. Although there was lots of fries ( regular size plate) there wasn't much chicken action in it. I've been to this location a few times. In the beginning, I remember it was always crowded and popping. Lately, it's been a little more lonely. Not sure if maybe it's the timing or it's just not as popular anymore. I still crave it now and then and when in the area, I will try and stop by. The parking is definitely something that makes you think about it though. It is a small lot, and the spaces are really narrow. Even for a car, it's hard to squeeze in and have enough space for you to get out of your vehicle, along with those parked next to you. The service has been great every time I go in there. They always greet you as you walk in, and as you order, they are very polite and go over any questions you may have. The food, I like it. I really do. I just feel like they could throw in a little more sauce in the chicken and fries, without having to pay for extra sauce. I found myself having to ration the sauce as I ate my tray of buffalo fries. By the time I was done, I was eating dry fries. I feel that if you're going to sell a product like this, there should be enough sauce to eat it accordingly. Yes, there are those that love to slather the sauce heavily, and for that, I do agree that they should buy an extra one. If they fixed this issue, I would definitely come more often. Buffalo Spot was really hyped a couple years ago, so when one opened up in Carson I was excited. I've tried their famous buffalo fries in lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan, and honey bbq. My go to is honey bbq, however, it's nothing special really. They have sizes ranging from small, regular, and large. For me, the small fills me up and the regular is way too big for one sitting. They can put the special sauce on top of the chicken, or on the side. You can also add extra chicken for additional charge. Overall, their food is good, but nothing special. I definitely don't see myself "craving" their buffalo fries. It's good for once in awhile if your around the area. Parking is really tight because it's shared by a nail salon, Little Caesar's pizza, and a couple other stores. The place itself is decently cleaned. However, the floors are usually dirty and the mat at the front door is useless. My friend almost slipped because of the mat placement. Service can be better. It's not the worse, but definitely needs improvement. My order was for small honey bbq buffalo fries and totaled to $6.02 which I think is a bit pricy for the portion, quality, and wait time. Here's a solution: raise your wing prices by that nickel, then give your staff permission to substitute soda cups for water whenever the situation calls for it.
