I cannot say it enough...This lounge goes off every 4th Friday of the month. Excellent vibe, GREAT music and awesome hosts bring together a perfect amalgamation for a stellar time. Stephanie and Adam have been nothing short of generous and gracious hosts in the 4+ years that "Dystopia" has been in existence. Additionally, the monthly has boasted some of the best Drum & Bass producers in the United States with some supporters from Australia, Portugal, England and Ireland. Moreover, a tremendous cast of local DNB talent is featured regularly. It never ceases to amaze me reading some people's experiences at Lounge 3411 here on Yelp. People that state that they went to the venue and it was "empty" obviously have not attended the venue on a 4th Friday. Every year my Team and I participate in the San Leandro Relay for Life and throughout the year, we seek venues that are willing to allow us to hold Fundraising events. It's not easy at all and I've had many places simply say No way but then my sister in law mentioned Lounge 3411. The Owner Steph was a friend of hers and she had nothing but awesome things to say. Ashley (SIL) made the call and within minutes we had a venue. On Saturday, April 26th we held our Event:) Everyone working that evening was more than accommodating and super supportive of our efforts. It was amazing just how wonderful they were. Steph allowed us to decorate and be all up in her space, The Bouncer was so kind and helpful, The Bartender was happy and bubbly and the crowd of regulars there were very friendly. We were also allowed to have a special performance there and a few DJ's donated there time and efforts. Simply put... The night was EPIC. The Lounge is clean and well kept. The Owner and Staff are amazing. The drinks were on point. I just couldn't be happier with the outcome. I will be back and probably become a regular because this space, this place, these people are fantastic! I was born and raised in the community of the Laurel District. I've been to this dive bar a few times. As a matter of fact, my friend owns the fast food Chinese restaurant right next door. This is not a bad place, although not a great place, just so-so. Yes, it's a typical hole-in-the-wall, but what do you expect? They always have great music going on and a nice dance floor in the back. Generally, it's extremely rare to see this place crowded. I've never seen the dance floor exceed over 10 people. A good friend of mines who's a DJ, performed here countless times. This bar is really for the community who wants to socialize and see new faces. Gotta love Taco Tuesdays, very authentic! You cannot miss those out! I wish they have "Taco Fridays", but obviously that's not very orthodox. The drinks are moderate. They don't make the drinks strong. Yet, they are fairly priced, not cheap. Bartenders and staffs are friendly. I wish they would renovate this bar and really give the maximum appeal for the community. In conclusion, if you are in the area, give this place a go. A place with some potential but overall just underwhelming. Depressingly empty most of the time, and laid out like a rave club.Taco Tuesday was ok. Definitely a dive bar, which I love in general, but this part of MacArthur is just so dangerous at night that you can barely park more than a block away. I know someone who walked out and was mugged with the threat "I'm gonna shoot you in the dick". Stay classy, east Oakland. For every person who has a problem with gentrification, there are 10 getting jacked at 6pm unloading groceries. Luckily times are changing, **maybe this place will be on the right side of things.** P.S. Parking, then walking to and from Lounge 3411 is probably one of the scariest things I've ever had to do -- especially if I'm parking on the side of 35th Avenue that the Lounge is on. I highly recommend that people find parking on the OTHER side of 35th if they can (the area under and past the Laurel District sign), where street lights are abundant and it's a little busier with car and foot traffic. That being said, Lounge 3411 is a fun place to go with a bunch of friends if you want to hang out, grab some stiff drinks and dance your butt off. There's a pole sort of tucked away in a corner of the dance floor, and it gets to be a pretty popular prop as the drinks keep flowing and the night wears on (aka -- if you're germophobic, stay the hell away from it). I've been here a few times now, and the drinks are strong. It's a lot of fun, but Friday/Saturday night crowds can definitely get to be a little rowdy. But that's just how it is with a lot of lounges/clubs. It looks divey, and it is, but the general vibe is pretty chill. We're all just there to have a good time. So long as you keep that mindset about you, then there shouldn't be any issues! read more

Ok so I'm a dork and accidentally did a semi review on a tip. But my friend and I came here on a Friday night pretty early 9pm ish, I know we are getting old! They had street tacos! Let's just say we went to the SF street food fest last week and we had our abundance of street tacos. So we decided to try the ones offered here. We had the chicken tacos with this awesome I mean insanely good mole sauce and pepitos! Love them! But the smack your mama good taco was the Korean taco with marinated grilled pork, sweet pickled cucumbers, sriracha on nori squares! It was a foodgasm ready to happen. And it was $2.00!! This is a secret magical place in the hood. Hehe. But then again, this didn't intimidate me since I grew up in the area. I recently celebrated my 29th birthday here. I chose to use this place as my venue with my guests in mind, location convenience. I have lots of friends and family that live in Oakland....and I knew that anyone that would attend my party would most likely get f'd up so I ruled out SF...I loved that my guests were pleasantly surprised when they stepped into this little hole in wall and saw a pretty cute place equipped with booze, a sitting area, a dance floor, a stripper pole...need I say more?? And the DJ did his thing. My friends were grooving, my friends had an awesome time, as did I, the birthday princess. Bartenders were freakin' awesome, DJ-awesome, security guards-awesome, owner-awesome. It all started with my great friend, Sonny Garcia, of Silverado Professional DJ Service, DJ'ing at Lounge 3411 on regular occasions...He'd spin the old skool cool 80's music and 3411 was close to home to get my dance on.... BTW, check Sonny Garcia out...he is an AWESOME DJ! This neighborhood lounge is perfect for my husband and I. We enjoy the low key and chill atmosphere sans attitudes! Stephanie and her husband are the super cool owners and they make you feel right at home with their hospitality and graciousness... The lounge is very cozy with local artists displaying their works on all the walls. They have different music and talents according to certain days of the week...We especially enjoy the 80's stuff! They DO have a stripper pole and I only embarrassed myself once twirling around it for Sonny to make him laugh! The bathroom is nice and clean and the spot itself is very clean and conveniently located next to a Taco Bell if it's not a Taco Tuesday at Lounge 3411! Lounge 3411 has become my favorite bar in the Bay Area. The atmosphere is cool, the drinks are cheap, the music is good, and the people that work there are the best. It's a late night Wed-Sat place so after 9pm when it's open. It's got the urban hipster vibe going with some chill couches, nice lighting, and artwork from local artists. They also have a separate bar and dance floor so you can find a hoppin' scene or just hang at the bar. They have the best happy hour I've found in the bay area. From 9-10 on most night's the have $2 drafts of good microbrews. They serve both types of Linden Street brews from Oakland's best brewery. yes, $2 local micros. It's a beautiful thing. They do a great job bringing in different djs and bands and really mix up the music. So whether you're into dance, club, or reggae music, they have a night for you. The owners and bartender are, by far, the nicest and friendliest I've ever met. They always have a smile, joke, and remember you. soooo....super dope local spot and it's thursday night weekly is blowin' up. I live right down the street from this place and have seen it change over the years but for the past bit they have been a guaranteed fun time with really good music, cheap booze, super nice staff that's attentive, not rude and really helpful. also, the vibe is really comfy and chill...there's artwork that changes, sometimes they have people serving food also which is totally 2 thumbs up worthy! sound is good, and the layout is nice, the place is split into two different areas, one bar/lounge area where u can drink up and chat with friends, and the other area which is a solid dancefloor with a dj rig, good sound, and a stripper pole (i'm always amazed at the number of places lacking a stripper pole!)... overall this has become a weekly hangout for me and many of my friends (deep house/deep techno on thursday nights) and there's good reason for it...great music, great people, and great atmosphere is a pretty winning combo....never been dissappointed...actually, every time its better and better! read more

By far my favorite spot in the bay area. Lounge 3411 has an awesome happy hour and definitely has a love for the arts. There's always an artists featured on their walls whether it be photography, paintings, drawings, etc. They also host many genres of EDM, Hip-Hop and also Karaoke nights. Last night was my first encounter with Lounge 3411. Ridiculously good happy hour. Local microbrews for $2 -- spectacular! In addition, $4 wells, $5 calls, and $6 top shelf. Oh and they carry Hendricks! I'm in heaven. Great crowd. Diverse, unpretentious, and friendly. Come as you are. While I did see some PBR sippin', this is definitely not a hipster crowd. The venue and the crowd are all unassuming. If you're looking for a "scene", you're better off elsewhere. And good riddance. I love the floor plan. Split evenly between bar area and dance floor -- each side offering a distinctly different feel. Seating arrangements are well executed -- couches are always a nice touch. Sizeable dance floor -- and you can never go wrong with a stripper pole. Good music! DJ was spinning electronica that particular night. I'm excited to hear they play a range of genres throughout the week -- I'll have to check out the next time there's a live band! This is hands down my favorite place in the Bay. The owner/bartender is so sweet and makes the best drinks. She treats everyone like her favorite costumer. One of the first times I came, I asked her for a specific type of alcohol and she had it by the next time I went! Now she's done this for me a bunch of times, mint for Mojitos, fixins for Bloody Mary's, and even blood oranges for Halloween!! She's also extremely easy to work with for parties. She has great communication and is so flexible. She'll open the bar early for you to decorate for a party, call a cab for people who want a ride home, and she remembers your favorite drink. My friends and I LOVE having our Birthdays here, or bigger parties like "Swell Sessions" or "Mental Block". I've recommended her to a bunch of my friends and the only complaint was that she was giving them too many free drinks! I just found out about this place after having lived in the area for the last 30 years. A friend who transplanted to the bay years back invited me to " a little spot on MacArthur, near Taco Bell"... I had to verify we were talking about the same location. Sure enough, it was the same place. And now I'm extremely happy to have discovered this awesome little gem in the Laurel. Im not much into the late night bar scene but happy hour here, after work, keeps me a very happy local customer.
