He is smart, he looked at each piece instead of just weighing it all and giving me a quote. In fact, I had an 18K bracelet and he paid me properly for that rather than weighing it all as 14K. We chatted and the quote he gave me was higher than the first quote that I got from the other dealer. I left knowing that I was treated fairly and I fully intend to recommend him to my friends and family and I will be back with some other things that I want to sell. Their location may not be the easiest to find, since it is on the second floor, but it is close enough to the edge of the Diamond District that you won't have to bob and weave past all the people trying to sell or buy jewelry before getting to the building. Pro-Tip: they have a camera trained at the door to the office, just go to the door and they'll buzz you in. I stood outside for two minutes and double-checked the address before opening the door into an office that is much nicer than the hallway and staircase just outside. I was a walk-in and was helped immediately. He looked over the item and I walked out 10 minutes later with the certificate, printed and laminated on the spot. I was able to download a digital copy for my insurance company the next day using the appraisal number on their site. Painless.

I was SO disappointed because the purpose of having jewelry repaired is to ensure that it is fixed properly and lasts. The quality of the workmanship is EXTREMELY POOR. He then proceeds to blame his poor workmanship on your jewlery (similar to what others said here). That was NOT the case. My pieces are all genuine and well-made. I've had pieces repaired decades ago that have never split open like this. In my opinion, Sash came across as VERY misleading. He talks and distracts you with conversation. He spoke about family and friends, who seem to be the ones receiving the highest level of care (and the ones writing the good reviews), while new customers receive poor service. He also intentionally adds on additional charges without confirming with the customer, that was fine with me, but at least provide the service you charged for. I am posting this review so that other customers can make an informed decision before spending their money here. If you are looking for reliable jewelry repairs, I would recommend considering the other jewelry repair businesses on the same floor. I went to another guy and he did a fantastic job. I regret spending so much money and hope this review helps other potential customers avoid a similar experience.
