Finally tried this French café in Los Feliz, and I have to say, it was amazing! It was the perfect way to end a hike in Griffith Park with some really great food. What a cute little cafe. I was in the Los Feliz area, walking around lollygagging on a Sunday morning. After working up an appetite I opened Yelp to see what restaurants were in the area. This place was bookmarked so I decided it was a perfect time to come in. I went in around 1pm on a Sunday. Their outdoor seating was at capacity (expected, it was a beautiful day) so I was sat inside. My waitress came over immediately and offered some water and a couple of menus. Service was quick and attentive. I decided to order the American in Paris breakfast. Two eggs, two strips of bacon, and the best brioche French toast I've ever had. It was fluffy, the creme wasn't overly sweet, topped with berries, and a hint of orange in every bite. You don't need the syrup of this French toast, it's perfect on its own. The fresh orange juice was also recommended! The one thing I think you can skip are the breakfast potatoes. The plate alone is plenty of food. So simple yet so satisfying. The space is small and seating is limited, so I got lucky at the time I went in. I'm sure it's packed in the morning. I'll definitely be back and I'm excited to try more! read more

BIG fan of Loupiotte Kitchen, we stopped by for brunch on a Sunday and were seated promptly! Staff was very kind and friendly and made us feel incredibly welcomed. The tea came in really cute teapots and my husband got a mimosa that was well balanced and refreshing! Polenta with crusted egg was AMAZING, I don't even eat mushrooms, I pushed them aside but the dish was so yummy and I would love to have it again soon. My husband's croque madame was fantastic and wasn't overly, overly filling as croque madame can sometimes be, the side salad was fresh and light which was a nice addition. This is as good a cafe and breakfast place as there is in this city. I'd been wanting to come here for quite some time and that day was today, given that today was my wedding anniversary. We couldn't have picked a better place. The ambiance makes you leave Los Angeles and enter France. The service was spectacular with recommendations and incredible kindness. I'm so happy to have learned about Loupiotte Kitchen! We came in on a Sunday morning around 12pm and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. The host was super friendly and charismatic, and we were able to walk around the area and receive a text when our table was ready. The interior of this space is so well done. It felt like every little detail was considered and planned out, and I loved seeing the decorations everywhere (even in the bathroom). It really just had the cutest vibe. In terms of food, I ordered the Creamy Polenta with Potatoes. This dish was SO YUMMY. I never knew that polenta could be this good, and it really blew my mind. The combination of the polenta with the mushrooms, onions, parmesan, and fried egg was absolute perfection. I honestly was so sad when my plate was clean since I missed eating it. The prices were a little on the more expensive side, but I think that the dishes were unique enough to warrant it--I don't think I know anywhere else that serves similar dishes. In the future, I really hope to try the Soft Scramble Eggs; I saw several other parties order it, and it looked scrumptious. In general, I think this place is so cute and yummy! If i could give zero stars i would. This place was horrible. The service was abysmal. We got seated at 11:30. There were four tops inside that they didn't want to give us so we sat outside. The employees proceeded to ignore us for 30 minutes. they gave us waters and menus and then for 30 minutes the employees were too busy watching film trucks pass by to give us any decent service. They walked outside multiple times and each time we tried to get their attention they walked back inside. If you're going to force me to sit outside then have the decency to actually give adequate service. We got up and left 30 minutes in because no place deserves our money if that's the service we will receive. Never again. read more

Came here for a birthday brunch and we sat in the back room, it's adorably decorated and very homey. I had the soft scramble and would highly recommend it. Most places have a very predictable breakfast but this was not - it was unique and flavourful and I left feeling satiated and healthy. My friend and I stopped by this cute French cafe on a Wednesday afternoon so we got sat right away. This place has such a homey, warm vibe especially with the holiday decorations! So so cute. Lame and expensive. We did have a lovely lunch for a friend's birthday, and the inside is charming, but gosh the food here does not in any way justify the cost!! To start, it is very hard to find anything that doesn't have wheat, cheese or butter. Of course things can be left off, but when you spend almost $30 on a salad you don't want to feel cheated. I had the goat cheese salad (can eat goat cheese) and not only was it drenched in dressing, the $6 side of bacon only came with two pieces and one was not even a full piece. I talked to the server who kindly understood and got me another side. However, the kitchen sent it out with bubbling grease on it - they didn't even dab off the grease - huh?! Eveyone was shocked. Totally unappetizing. I had to use a to go napkin to dab it myself - crazy! The guy that waited on us should probbably not be a server. I don't want to throw him under the bus because I respect that he has a job and needs to work but my gosh he had zero skill or personality. There was a wood fork decor thing on the wall that fell onto me and we all laughed so hard and put it in an empty chair like a person were sitting there. Another friend told the server and he basically had NO RESPONSE! Not a sorry nor a chuckle - just nothing. Not an offer for a dessert, again not a word. Water carafe was only refilled when I asked. For five of us to have lunch with no alcohol or dessert and for four of us to pay, my cost was $53 which included tip. I had a salad! I go out so rarely that to spend money, and that amount, I want to feel taken care of by the staff and I want to feel full.
