Malai Rigatoni
Klarissa P.

Came here with a friend and it was delicious! Never knew about this place before, but the Indian-Italian fusion was delicious. Recommend the pizza and pasta for sure. The flavors were tasty and different, we really enjoyed ourselves. Note the place is small, so there could be a wait time. Parking is limited in the lot, but street parking is available outside. Staff were friendly.

Came here for a quick dinner and drinks before a comedy show. The place was empty and cozy when we got there, but packed when we left. We tried their pizza which was delicious. The onion rings were also massive and delicious, though would have preferred more and smaller size I think. We got some of their wings which were average but not bad. Finally, we got their pasta which was secretly spicy, but also so delicious. Would definitely recommend getting that. My major gripe is that they have a sign offering happy hour, but nowhere did they say what the deal is, when it is, or what it is. Don't like that weird messaging. Overall, very cool spot. Would come again.

I was so so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint. I tried the dosa onion rings, samosa pijja, malai rigatoni, & NA margarita. The Indian flavors in the food were perfect and tasted like the real thing (in pizza/pasta/onion ring form). The margarita was unique & had ingredients I was excited to try, but I don't think all the flavors came together well, so that's the one thing I wouldn't recommend. The interior is pretty cute & there are TVs everywhere, so a great spot for catching a game

Went to Pijja Palace and honestly... I'm still thinking about that pasta. I've had spicy vodka rigatoni everywhere, and nothing has ever lived up to what I imagined it could be until the malai rigatoni here. This was easily a 10/10. So saucy, incredibly flavorful, perfectly creamy, and the pasta was cooked to the perfect al dente. No notes. Just insanely delicious. The chicken wings were just okay. I liked the unique twist with the achaar masala and cayenne chilies, but they didn't wow me. I'd probably skip these next time and try a different chicken instead. I was stuck between the pepperoni playboy and the chutney pija; bartender recommended the pepperoni, and I can see why. It had a crispy base with a sweet kick from the onions and honey. Dipped in the yogurt sauce... so good. Dessert was the caramel toffee banana soft serve, and it did not disappoint. Super smooth and creamy with a strong (not artificial) banana flavor, and the toffee on top added the perfect crunch. We came as a walk-in and were quoted a 3-hour wait, but managed to grab bar seats in about an hour. Service was quick and friendly the whole time.

Busy vibrant spot especially on a Friday evening. I'd been hearing a long time about this magical place that made "Indian Pizza" and was oddly positioned on the ground floor of a Comfort Inn. I present to you Pija Palace. Let's start with the service. Exceptional. Truly. This place isn't pretentious. It's warm, inviting and the waitresses go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need on the table. Here were the favorites of the evening: 1. Malai Rigatoni--do not skip 2. Chutney Pijja 3. Pepperoni Playboy

Super cute restaurant with a lively vibe. The pizza was not very impressive, with dough that was too thin and lacking character, and not very generous with toppings. The wings were a bit too large and too saucy for my liking. However, the pasta was amazing, with perfectly cooked pasta, and I wanted to eat it with a spoon to fully indulge in the sauce. I'd come back here just for the pasta.

Finally got to try pijja palace and the malai rigatoni itself is worth the trip, it has so much flavor and the rigatoni is cooked so perfectly. It was so good I used the pizza crusts to scrape up all the sauce The pizzas weren't as big of a hit for me, they were interesting but I kept wanting more of the rigatoni instead. Will definitely be back to try the other pasta dishes bc if the other pastas are anything like the rigatoni, they must be amazing

Place is very good but I think overhyped. Cute inside, looks like in between a diner and something cutesy modern. The wings were still a little spicy! Pizzas were both delicious, I got the white sauce, garlic, onions, and chicken Tikka! Service was very fast and checked in quite a bit. Definitely make a reservation, there's a small parking lot.

This is an amazing LA restaurant that's so unique and their menu is super bomb. I've been here a few times and every single time the food is hitting. The green chutney pizza is a must try and so is the rigatoni. Both of these dishes are 10/10 so flavorful and unique. I love the concept of Indian and Italian. As an Indian guy who grew up eating a lot of Indian food this place forsure deserves the hype. I've also tried the onions rings there are solid 8/10. The service is decent nothing crazy. There was 1 time I go really good services but the other times were okay. The ambiance is amazing it's really loud and basically a sports spot. Went here during the dodger game and they get so hyped it's super fun definitely would recommend going during dodgers playoffs.

Indian and Italian fusion! Something we didn't know we needed, but now we absolutely love, love, love! This is such a creative concept and a delicious restaurant. We had a reservation at noon on a recent Sunday. The five of us shared a variety of dishes: Caesar salad - great for sharing Dosa onion rings - almost like eating an onion donut! Garlic bread - we probably didn't need it, but it was still good to try Lamb macaroni - I don't eat lamb, but everyone else really enjoyed it Malai rigatoni - delicious with a little kick Palace BBQ chicken wings - so flavorful and tasty For pizza, we ordered both the chutney pizza and the samosa pizza, and they were amazing! Packed with flavor and such a fun twist on pizza. I liked the samosa pizza just a little bit more. Who knew Indian flavors could work so well on a pizza? Overall, this is a fantastic spot that's both unique and delicious. Definitely a place worth trying, and one we'd happily return to!

I'd heard so much about this place that I was happy to finally check it out. FOOD 4/5 We tried 2 pizzas, a burger, and wine. All of the food was flavorful but the Lamb Burger was my absolute favorite hands down. I will definitely be ordering that again. The Chutney pizza was good but not my preference for pizza flavor although I applaud them for the uniqueness of the pizza flavor. The Tikka Masala pizza I liked better than the Chutney but glad I tried them both. Chutney 3/5 Tikka Masala 3.5/5 Lamb Burger 5+/5 (These ratings are not implying the pizza wasn't good, just that they weren't my favorite preference-wise. I'm more of a sweet and or traditional pizza girlie) SERVICE The service was good, our server made recommendations and gave us tips for what was popular. The food came out relatively fast, and everything looked amazing. AMBIANCE I really like the vibe of this place. From the outside it's not much to look at but as soon as you look inside it gives the vibes of a high end members only lounge. I even liked how sitting at the bar looked. The lighting was great and perfect for a trendy date night. PARKING They had a lot directly at the restaurant so parking was relatively easy. When we got there there were no spots but someone left within 7-10 minutes so we got a spot fast. All in all I had a great experience here and definitely think you should check this place out. They had some wings I was curious about, and some artisan cocktails that looked delicious. I will be coming back to try more things!

Achaari buffalo wings

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish! We made a reservation morning of and were seated as soon as we got to the restaurant. Parking lot is small, but we were able to snag a spot. The restaurant was packed, so highly recommended making a reservation! We ordered the achaari buffalo wings and green chile chutney pizza to share. Wings were crispy and slight spicy, but mostly a mild buffalo flavor. Pizza was thin and crispy, and the green chutney was spicy and slightly sour - it was perfect! Service was 10/10. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!!

I have been waiting to try this spot for at least 4 years and finally the stars aligned. Me and my husband came to LA to visit our friends and planned ahead to get a reservation. First off our waitress AnnaLee was absolutely the sweetest human. She was super attentive and had such a calming presence about her. She made the meal that much better. The food was everything I hoped for and more. We tried almost the entire menu as we were a party of 8. I would say the things that stuck out to me the most was the lamb pasta, green chili masala wings, the tikka masala pizza, and the onion rings. Which is crazy because I do not like onion rings but everyone was pressuring me to try and OMG AMAZING! We also tried the other 2 wing flavors, rigatoni, the Caesar salad, chutney pizza (green chili) and pepperoni pizza. Everything was divine! Needless to say it was worth the wait but I'm sad we waited so long because it was so good. Would happily come back when we're in town.

Not really.. not very gluten free friendly sadly. There were some meaty dishes if you eat meat, but the bulk of the dishes had flour

No they don't. My wife is Lebanese and only eats halal and she didn't eat any meat here.

I don't believe so. I emailed them and they were responsive.

No it's limited :(

The sultry pulsating bass lines that ooze through the speakers set the tone for a chilled vibe, and the tropical motifs provide an escape from reality. It's a great spot to relax and catch a game or hang with friends, which I did. I met some of my favorite Yelp peeps here for Sunday Brunch. We received a warm & friendly welcome from Rasheeda (bartender). She was darling, as was our server, Mason. They were both fantastic. We settled into the cozy couches tucked in the corner and ordered several dishes to share: Hummus, Prosciutto Panino, Eggplant Panino, Mediterranean Eggs, Green Shakshuka, & Fries. Drinks consisted of: Nitro Cold Brew, Bloody Mary, Age of Aquarius, & a Lavender Gimlet. The fries were tossed with rosemary salt and came with garlic aioli & ketchup. They were addicting & delicious. My Lavender Gimlet did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their selections, and we had a great time together. This was the perfect meet up spot. I'm looking forward to coming back. *Street parking (can be tricky.) Metered parking across the street. *Happy Hour 2 pm - 6 pm daily & all-day Monday.

The decor was a garden type setting with floral designs throughout the venue. There are pub tables with high-top stools. We snagged a corner couch with a coffee table in the center. It was very comfortable, like we were visiting someone's home. It's a perfect place for small or large groups. We ordered: - Prosciutto Panini - on focaccia with mozzarella, spinach, red onion, olive aioli and pickled veggies on the side. - Eggplant Panini - on focaccia, feta and provolone cheeses, tomatoes, arugula and pickled veggies on the side. - French Fries with dipping sauce - Hummus Plate - with sliced pita bread - Mediterranean eggs - on burrata cheese, topped with secret glaze and garnish. The employees were super friendly and helpful (Mason and Rashida), they really made us feel welcomed. Bookmark this place for a date night, birthday celebration, or cocktails with friends. They have a full bar, the mixologist has a specialty drink list and all your favorites (tequila, rum, vodka, whisky, etc). There is a DJ station for night-time live entertainment. They do not have a parking lot, there is street parking in front and at side streets (next to Starbucks). Sincerely. Rosemary

I've lived in LA for some time now and never made my way much to Silverlake and unfortunately not to 33 Taps until last night when I heard this was the go-to Knicks bar. I was NOT disappointed. Now, I was just a man looking for a sports bar to watch my team win, wasn't expecting much. So, I was pleasantly surprised when met with not only awesome fellow fans but also a kick-ass service team. That bar was so busy given the season and that was of expectation, but I watched the bartenders specifically handle it like a cake walk and even better, my drinks were FANTASTIC. From the Espresso Martini that got my not-so-young self through the night, to the Carajillo--those were elite cocktails and I had low hopes honestly. But, if they could impress me enough on an NBA Finals night to make a review, I can't imagine what a regular service day is like. GO TO 33 TAPS!!

As vegans we now can't get our fave snacks with our fave drinks. ** & RIP to the vegan nachos, vegan chicken, and Brussels sprouts. At the very least they could offer an option between tallow and oil like another fave spot we frequent, Edendale. Just a thought! Yes they still have a vegan burger and a vegan burrito. But besides those and a salad, that's about it now. Our dog still eats very well thanks to their pup menu. So cheers to that at least. But removing so many options for plant-based eating has really bummed us out. EVERYONE can eat plant-based... so having more options then taking them away feels to me/us so weirdly biased and antiquated. Btw seed oils are not our enemy. They're much better than the visceral fat surrounding the kidneys and various body parts of grass puppies (aka: cows). Don't believe the hype (or RFK for that matter).
