Mark was extremely helpful over the phone and made time to take a look at my car the same day. I was afraid it would be a larger repair (catalytic converter) but he called back within 2 hours to let me know it was the spark plugs and coils. He gave me an estimate and his recommendation along with a cheaper option, in case I couldn't afford the more expensive repair. Work was done within 24 hours with great attention to detail. Mark, Tom, and the entire team were friendly, professional, and honest. In the interests of cost, I have driven pre-owned cars most of my life so I'm no stranger to the inside of an auto shop. Let me just say that I've been coming here for YEARS and have spent thousands since I had another car that I serviced. It's been convenient and most of the mechanics are friendly and knowledgeable. Today, I had a different experience. First off, the guy at the front (I won't say any names) is rude. It takes nothing to say hello back to someone who came in and said hello. Anyway, came in to do a battery replacement. Everything was done and as I was walking to the office, I see my car....left UNATTENDED WITH THE HOOD UP and my car still running for several minutes. He just left it there like that. I walked to the office (hood was still up). Stood there waiting to get my bill and keys (hood still up) Mind you...it's a rainy day. This kid was negligent with my property. I don't know if me being a woman alone made that acceptable but it's not. Big or small job, it's business and you treat everyone's property and them with respect. Then after seeing my car left on with the hood up, I make them aware of it and then I paid and left. As I was driving, my USB/anti theft system was not working. Screen blank. Not only was he negligent with my property....he didn't finish the job. You have to reboot the anti theft system for that and the USB/screen controls to work. I was more than willing to tip the guy since I know they don't make much on batteries but after that experience, no. You don't just put a battery in...you need to reboot the system. Today was EXTREMELY disappointing and needless to say, I will go elsewhere from now on. Maybe give JJ a bit more training.

To set the tone of this review, I have trust issues with Mechanics and dealerships (more than…read moremost). After my trusted mechanic closed shop I was roaming the area finding mechanics that I just didn't feel comfortable with. I drive past Norwood car care every day and on the way to work. One day a few years back I hit the annoying RR Crossing on Old Hook and my exhaust just gave out. I limped into their shop and was in and out quickly and for way less than I assumed after internet pricing the exhaust parts. Since then they have been my go to for oil changes, repairs, etc. My latest used car purchase needed tons of suspension work which they did very well and for a fair price. I recently dropped the car off for a major repair, I was out of town and approved the estimated cost to repair the worst case scenario before they even looked at the car. Once the car was apart they called me to let me know it was not as bad and gave me the actual estimate. They had the opportunity and my OK to bill me for much more, but didn't take advantage of me. I feel comfortable leaving my cars there, and happy to have found a new shop I can finally trust.
