I tried the Tuna Sandwich, which was tasty but the biggest flaw was that it completely fell apart after just a few bites. They should work on sandwich construction and structural integrity

Best sandwiches we've ever had, service was really quick and great. Also their bottled drink selection and coffee are great. Would come again 10/10.

It's Friday morning. I'm back to try Open-Face Breakfast Sandwich with Bacon. The egg is so soft & fluffy and the special sauce on the bread...just delicious! Wonderful staffs are waiting & ready to take your order. There are more people dinning. This place is clean with lots comfortable seatings. Check it out folks!

This is a good lunch spot for FiDi. Sandwiches are $12.50-$14. Salads are $10-$11. Prices on their website are outdated. My sandwich , the LLB special $12.50 was roast beef, turkey, ham, swiss, provolone on dutch crunch, was alright. The New England Clam Chowder $8.50 was chunky and not filled all the way up. That tasted OK as well. Friendly service for a counter style restaurant. Kitchen was fast taking account they were busy. I was pretty full afterwards.

This is a cafe that I've been to a few times for lunch, and it's a great place to get a quick sandwich in the heart of FiDi! While it is in the lobby of an office building, it does have its own area with seating in case you want to eat there. The service is friendly, and typically it only takes five minutes or so for your order. I usually get the Roma's Club with Dutch Crunch, and for the size of the sandwich that you get for the price (which is fairly affordable by SF standards) I think it's a pretty good value. The ingredients taste fresh, and I am usually pretty full afterwards. Nice spot to check out!

Lou's is my favorite spot to grab a bite to eat at lunch. Most of their sandwiches are under $10 and could easily be 2 meals. They use very high quality boars head meat, their bread is always fresh (sourdough and Dutch Crunch are my favs), and their special sauce and jalapeño spread are delicious! Everyone I've interacted with there has been super nice and welcoming, and the food takes about 10 minutes to come out, so if you're on a time crunch make sure you order ahead. This time, I got a turkey cranberry on Dutch Crunch and it was amazing as always. Their menu is very diverse and has a ton of specialty sandwiches and salads with the option to BYO as well. 10/10, definitely recommend!!

Time & Date: Wednesday, Sep 15th @ 12:30pm Crowd: pretty empty Ordered: Roma's Club ($10.42) Ike's but make it gourmet?? This sandwich tasted exactly like the BLT one from Ike's, and it looks the same too LOL. It's basically a BLT with avocado, and all your typical sandwich fillings (pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion) and there was a special spread too. This sandwich comes on dutch crunch too. Tasty, cheap, & filling!

    Chicken Pesto Sandwich

This is one of the most affordable places for a good quality sandwich or salad in downtown SF. I've gotten the chicken pesto, amicado, and build your own sandwich with pastrami and roast beef, as well as the Chinese chicken salad. All have been tasty, and the sandwiches and salads are good size so you don't leave hungry. They have a variety of interesting combinations that I'm eager to try. As of June 2023, the sandwiches start at $9.85 for a build-your-own without cheese and $10.90 for their specialty sandwiches, which is much cheaper than other sandwich spots in SF. They also have a rewards program where you get a free sandwich after a certain number of purchases (you'll need to enter your phone number for this). Tip: to avoid waiting, try calling ahead your order, and they usually have it ready within 10-20 minutes. At their Pine Street location, I've called ahead and been quoted 15 minutes until the sandwich is ready, but when arriving 15 minutes later, I've had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my sandwich to be ready. I haven't had that issue at this location on Battery Street - their estimated prep times for sandwiches have been accurate. Keep up the great work!

Generous filling on the sandwich and fresh middle ingredients but the Dutch crunch was so stale!! I have not had bread this old and chewy in a long time....

    Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

I've eaten at their other FiDi location before and really enjoyed it. Seems they opened this one with quite unfortunate timing right before the pandemic. But alas, they've reopened now and are serving up tasty sandwiches for those of us that live in this now desolate neighborhood. New England Clam Chowder: Haven't had this in ages, but the slight drizzle outside inspired me to crave a little comfort food. The soup was nice and creamy with big bits of clam. The sleeper star though was the bread. A nice sourdough slice with a generous spread of pimento cheese that was slightly melted. Way more exciting than bread & butter. Plus it soaked up the soup nice and added a fun accent. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich: I'm normally not a fan of chicken breast sandwiches, but the constant appearance of this sandwich in the Yelp photos caused me to step out of my comfort zone. It was swimming in buffalo and bleu cheese sauce, making it extremely flavorful. The soft chewy roll was the perfect texture for it too. Didn't have the crunch of a buffalo wing, but that's fine. Hot Pastrami Sandwich: Not your traditional pastrami on rye with swiss cheese and kraut. Instead it was on a hearty Dutch crunch roll with orange-colored cheddar and lots of fresh veggies. It's hard to break the traditionalist mindset, but it was tasty in it's own way. I mean the meat was made in-house and the Dutch crunch roll makes any sandwich amazing.

Some sandwiches come with lots of meats and some are saucy and some get cheesy like some in SF. There are some famous and historical places to grab sandwiches in North Beach like Molinari and Freddie's. There is also a place on Columbus Avenue by Joe DiMaggio playground park on which has a French name and serves up some of San Francisco finest sandwiches and it's called" Le Sandwich ". On a Winter season stroll in the beginning of 2026 , I landed at Le Sandwich. This place has lots of sandwiches available made by Chef Elias. I decided to try their Primo ( means Prime in Italian) sandwich. I have to say this is one of the tastiest sandwiches I had in San Francisco. It had meats which were tender such as Genoa Salami, coppa, and ham. It's has melting provolone which made it cheesy like some in SF. They also have FikaLove which is baked goods available like chocolate croissants and cinnamon buns for Fika( Swedish for Coffee break). Hello locals and visitors! If you're in the area, this place is a MUST-TRY!…read more It has that small, family-owned, hole-in-the-wall feel--and sometimes those are the places with the best food! The gentleman at the register was nice and welcoming. They have a great variety of food to choose from, including sandwiches, burgers, spaghetti, pizza, wings, and more. This was hands down the BEST food we had during our 4-day visit to San Francisco! I especially want to give a huge shout-out to the cook, Victor! You may think, "It's just pizza and wings," but NO--Victor made everything to perfection! The wings were cooked well done, just how we like them, with the perfect crispy texture. The pizza was delicious too! I only wish we had found this place on our first day. We ended up having dinner here on the last two nights of our vacation because we loved it that much! They also offer a 3% discount if you pay with cash. We paid around $35 for a small pizza (6 slices) 10 wings, and a drink. It was more than enough food for two people, and we even had leftover pizza. if you buy 1 slice of pizza the slices are pretty big. Other places we were spending almost $50 for two people each meal. I truly hope this place stays in business for many years to come. Great food, friendly service, good portions, and reasonable prices. If you're in San Francisco, give this place a try--you won't regret it! Five stars from us!

I have tried this place before and it's local to San Francisco and I wanted to give it a whirl in person. On a Spring stroll down Lombard and Van Ness where the hotel and motel signs are over mile deep I wanted to try an American favorite which are pizza pies. Pizza pies have become more American than apple pies these days . I went inside Chico's and tried their pepperoni and sausage before Good Friday approaches. The pizza slice was kind of cheesy like some in SF and it had pepperoni and sausage but not too saucy . The dough was pretty doughy but flakey like some in SF. It reminded me of some old school style of San Francisco pizza which is good paired with a case of beer.
