It was my first time here, and I absolutely loved it! From the moment we walked in, Sophia made us feel so welcome--she was friendly, knowledgeable, and truly enhanced the experience. I had actually been searching all over social media and TikTok for the best Caesar wrap, and this place kept coming up--now I see why! It completely lived up to the hype. I even drove all the way from San Jose just to try it, and it was 100% worth it. I'll definitely be making that trip again. Highly recommend! They take Cash and Apple Pay which is a plus too! They have drinks , chips, and even home made baked cookies, brownies, and banana bread

An old timer in a new location. Their menu seems very focused on hot sandwiches, which I'm totally supportive of. Everything I tried was delish. Cheesesteak: Not your typically Philly Cheesesteak. Very Italian with an abundance of delicious peppers: bell peppers, hot peppers and pepperoncini. The cheese was a blend of real stringy melty cheese, not Cheez Whiz ooze. The bread was nice and soft. And the meat, real thin slices of steak. Really hit the spot! Chopped Cheese (West Coast): Pretty unique. It's a lot of ground meat and gooey cheese and cooked veggies. Kinda like a poor man's cheesesteak. Hearty and more exciting than a burger. Final Stop (East Coast): It you love Italian cold cuts, this is the sandwich for you. It's got some many different types, I kinda lost count. Pretty much everything but the kitchen sink. They all mesh well together to give you mouth a buffet of flavors. Meatball Parm: The counterperson asked if I wanted hot peppers on it. Figured it was a standard configuration, so I agreed, since I like spicy. While the heat was nice, it just didn't fit with the meatball parm sandwich. The meatball, sauce, cheese and bread were fine. The texture of pickle peppers just kinda felt off.

Food was delish. Really enjoyed the cracked turkey east coast style. Would recommend adding a couple artichoke hearts to your sandwich to make it extra special. Everything is freshly made and service is quick. Was pretty small, so if you want to eat there expect to wait a few minutes to grab seat.

04.23.2025. Buddy lunch. Caesar salad wrap. 10.99. + chicken. 2.50. Fries. This was yummmmm. Plenty of sauce so every piece was covered. I loved the flavor and the croutons were still crunchy. Fries were also seasoned and crispy and perfect. Would definitely come again.

##14. The Italian Sub w/ Dutch crunch east coast way - bomb!

Gambinos just opened another location on Kearny and it's delicious! My office recently ordered from here TWICE -- once for breakfast and one for lunch and both times were good. My colleague told me when she picked up the food, service was very friend and the ambiance of the storefront was nice. I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon and it was huge! I had to split it between two sittings. The lunch sandwich was also pretty big but if you are very hungry, you probably could finish it in one go.

Came for lunch and got their chicken Caesar wrap and liked it! + good amount of cheese and chicken + nice tortilla + good amount of dressing (not too much) and had good flavor + I was full from just half (total was around $14 so not too bad) - was hoping croutons would be crunchier, they are a bit small/flat but I also didn't eat it right away so it may have softened a bit. - they did ask if I wanted it spicy and I said yes and they added cherry pepper but I didn't taste any spice lol Will definitely be back to try their other sandwiches! They have tons of options on the menu including Dutch crunch and I didn't even realize they had a couple other locations in the city! friendly staff as well and pretty quick easy grab and go lunch option.

This is Gambino's 3rd location! I went in for their soft opening on 12/15/25 and ordered an SOP (sausage, onion, peppers) hot sub. Their sandwiches come as either "east coast" or "west coast" style - which changes the fillings and sauce. I definitely recommend the east coast. The SOP packed a punch! It had the most flavorful sausage and cheese blend, and had a nice kick with the addition of cherry peppers. (Pepperoncini and cherry peppers can be added for free). Other items on the menu include cheesesteaks, deli subs, burgers, and bagel sandwiches. There's about 2-3 hightop tables inside. Friendly and quick service, and I learned that they're a family-owned joint.

Five stars. No notes (except one -- Dutch crunch next time). Ordered the Gambino's East Coast Style for $13.99 and had to do a double take. A legit, stacked, flavorful sandwich in SF for under $14? Meanwhile salad chains are charging $20+ for lettuce and personality. This thing was loaded -- no skimpy layers, no sad bites. Just solid East Coast deli energy. Only regret: I forgot to ask for Dutch crunch. That upgrade is happening next round. Also tried one of their salads and it was actually protein-packed, not the "where's the chicken?" kind. And the line? Long. Because long lines don't lie. Already eyeing the cheesesteaks.

I am definitely excited to have this Gambino's open up here because it's right across the street from my office. I have been going to Gambino's for 20 years at their other location, it's really the only place in San Francisco that I know of that you can get a proper East Coast style Italian sub. This location does not disappoint, it has the same quality and the same flavor as the other ones, and it will surely become a mainstay of my diet.

Fast, but chicken caesar salad left a lot to be desired. It had too much dry-ish meat in proportion to lettuce, croutons and wrap.

The day I went, the brunch focaccia was an artichokes, salsa verde, sundried tomatoes, red onion, arugula, and pepper jack focaccia that day, and it was delicious! they grill it fresh in front of you (takes about 5 minutes), and I'd recommend eating it as soon as possible for the best experience.
