We passed through Del Rio and wanted to support local, so we found Lou's and ordered up. The pizza was excellent and got to talk to Lou's dad. It seems we just missed Lou. I would certainly recommend Lou's if your in the area.

Meatball and mushroom with ricotta

I picked up a carryout order. Staff were friendly. Pizza was really good- I had meatball, mushrooms and ricotta. Not sure why they say New York pizza, because this was nothing like pizzas you get in NYC. Very tasty! My son is very picky and he liked his pepperoni pizza. He also joiked that he was mad, because, "Why would Lou's wood fire the pizza???"

What a pizza! Its nit a big place and if you blink you may miss the spot but that would be sad. This little place has amazing pizza. We had a pep and a buffalo chicken and they were so good. The crust is thin and incredibly tasty. They do not skimp on toppings. Look at the size of the "small" salad. So many great fresh ingredients. I can't imagine a better pie place in Del Rio. Wow.

Supreme - Medium - 12 inch

This is amazing pizza - and it would be amazing anywhere. Maybe it was the fact that it's in Del Rio that made it INCREDIBLY amazing. I hope that what Tarantino did for Uma Thurman I could do for Lou's Pizza with my pics. Futile attempts at capturing perfection. The pizza is wood fired - and has that delicious charred crust that drives that fact home. My first night in Del Rio, I ordered the Supreme. It was delicious- the only drawback for me was the way it was topped. The heaping pile of fresh ingredients was tasty, but made the slices hard to handle. You truly needed to fold these in half to keep it all together. Subsequent orders (my one night off of the week treats) were create your own pizzas. Same ingredients, same mind-blowing results. The first CYO pizza I got was likely in my Top 5 Pizzas ever. If you knew me and my addiction, I mean, history with pizza, you would realize the significance of that comment. I wanted to simultaneously savor and inhale this mad monstrosity of flavor. The salty ham, the freshness of the veggies - all of them combined for an unforgettable taste experience. That CYO combo ended up being my go-to. It could be my go-to if I could only eat one kind of pizza from only one place for the rest of my life. I will never look at pizza the same way again.

Hands down the best pizza place in Del Rio, TX! Literally everything on their menu is awesome! Go try it if you haven't!

Margarita Pizza. This is the medium size I think. It's not the smallest size. It's the one just bigger than that.

Located right off Veterans. New and clean inside. When you walk in you can smell the wood fire, but it's not smoky or overwhelming or anything. They had several tvs on different channels and had some pleasant music that wasn't too loud or inappropriate. The space was welcoming and clean. Walked in I was greeted, and I told the guy I had never been here so he explained sizes and specials and helped me order what I needed. They had a beer fridge for bottled beer so I decided to order and dine in. Pizza was quick and tasted yummy. I really liked the char on the bottom and the bubbled bits. I do not think this kinda Pizza will last a delivery or reheat so best to eat in or do pickup and enjoy asap. Something was a tad salty. Not sure where that came from. The Basil didn't hold up too well and got brown in some spots. Overall, good quality Pizza. I would recommend and come back.

Great spot for brick oven pizza. I had the pepperoni and the artichoke both of them were outstanding. Service is ok. 4.5 stars

Definitely the best pizza in Del Rio. Highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. No flop, nice and thin crust.

Great ingredients, underdone, soggy crust. Needed another minute or two in oven. Pretty sure this was unusual after looking at reviews.

You are probably asking yourself, "why did Brent go all the way to Mexico and get pizza???" Well,…read moreAcuna is literally a ghost town nowadays. I couldn't find any street vendors or Mexican food restaurants open when I was there, so I found myself in a pizza joint of all places! Como se dice "nobody goes to Acuna anymore" en Espanol? It's not a joke - this town is dying and it's sad... Although I was disappointed that I wasn't able to partake in Mexican cuisine on my visit, this place was impressive. The pizza is cooked over an open fire - you can see them cooking when you walk across the patio to get in. Nice, crispy thin crust with a SUBTLE smoky taste (NOT overwhelmingly so). The "chica" sized (as they call it) one topping pizza with two beers was a total of $6.42 (U.S dollars); woot, woot! They have a larger size, but the "chica" size is plenty for two people - or to eat part and get the rest to go (para llevar). Tip in cash so you don't have to figure out the exchange rate, which is confusing. YES, they take credit cards (make sure your bank doesn't charge international fees). They also accept U.S. dollars. The best part of all is that Paco (one of the servers - maybe a manager) swore up and down that he knew me (I haven't been to Acuna in many, many years). He was an older gent and was quite a hoot! Outdoor seating available, the inside was a bit warm but better than outside. Full bar, not sure about the bathroom situation. I looked around and didn't see anything, but I didn't ask, so not sure. There are five or six parking spots in the front, but the rest is street parking. If you find yourself in Acuna, check this place out - it's a fun joint! Indoor and outdoor seating available.
