Very clean location with many washers and dryers. Bathrooms and even a little snack bar and store that sells detergent. They have a huge ceiling fan (big ass fan brand) to keep temps low inside and it makes a huge difference. Parking can be tricky but I got lucky. There is a small parking lot that can fit about a dozen or two cars. Crowd seems chill and respectful inside. Overall this location is the safest to do a load but I still can't wait till our washer is fixed at the house lol. read more

This is a huge laundromat in a great location, on the corner of 21st and S Street. I really like that there's one monitor dedicated to live security footage. That way you can see what's happening on the far side of the laundromat. There is always at least one attendant there and the parking lot is well lit. The parking lot is small but there is also street parking. I like that they are open really early and close late. The price for the washing machines is higher, but that's because the dryers are free. The machines take cash or card. You can drop off laundry, they charge you per pound. I haven't used this service yet, but I've heard good things about it. They have soap and laundry sheets you can purchase if you forgot yours. They also have a snack bar. This laundromat is huge and there is tons of space for folding. They keep it cool during the summer, play music, have TVs and free wifi. A great, safe, clean place to do laundry. read more

This place is clean and has great staff, and I like that there is a snack bar. I wish the seating was more comfortable for long stays when you need to wash several loads, and the parking lot is way too small, with the parking spots also being too small. This is definitely my new favorite laundromat. In spite of the fantastic downtown location, parking was easy and free. The parking lot is arranged so that all of the spaces can be seen from the inside of the laundromat. This is the most spacious laundromat I've ever been to. There are tons of washers and dryers, and enough space between them to move around without bumping into other people. There is a full snack bar inside, and they have some (relatively) decent snacks. I saw Hot Pockets, a microwave, and even a slushy machine. All of the washers and dryers are as modern as it gets, are operated by touch screens, and accept card payments (except for the free dryers, which don't accept any payments at all). Quarters are not needed to operate the machines, but change machines are available for those who prefer not to use cards. Drying is supposedly "free," which actually means that it is included in the price of washing. I personally find this more convenient since it makes it faster and easier for me to calculate my total laundry bill. At this location, the free dryers run for twelve minutes at a time, and can be set to any heat setting. In order to use the free dryers, they are supposed to be at least half full, which might present an issue to anyone who is only washing one or two loads. For those who prefer to dry smaller loads, or for those who only need to dry their clothes, there is also a wall of pay-to-dry dryers. There is a ridiculous amount of folding and counter space. Even with the attendants reserving one of the largest folding spaces for themselves, there is still plenty of space left. The folding spaces near the windows have electrical outlets, and double as a place to study or read while the laundry is washing. Everything was sparkling clean. The LED signs are really cute. The ambiance is modern and chill. Prices are competitive. I paid about $15 to wash/dry the equivalent of about 9 loads of laundry (one 3 load machine plus one 6 load machine). Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back again. read more

I would never go back to this place. I dropped off a down comforter for them to wash and provided my own brand new bottle of special detergent. The cost of this detergent was $20. I went back the next day to pick up my laundered comforter, assuming the bottle of laundry detergent was in the package, but it was not. I drove all the way back only to find that 3/4 of the brand new bottle of detergent was gone. This wash 2 I have contacted them by phone twice and on their app once to complain and get a refund, but I have had no response from anyone. the place looks nice and it is clean. Parking lot on 21st or street parking $4 one load, free dryers when you wash and you can pay with card at their counter. You just need to know which machine #. They have machines that can take on different numbers of loads.. 1 and up to 10 loads. The restroom is coded. They have a large industrial fan to keep us cool and keep the air circulating. There's lots of TVs around the building along with music playing. Adjacent to the service counter is a snack bar for snacks and beverages. I used the 6 load washer and paid around 9$ but you do get a free dry! There was plenty of parking, they have their own parking lot. It was super fresh inside and clean. Music playing and tvs playing. I drove 15 min from home to come here and it was definitely worth it. I expected to be at the laundromat for hours but I was here for about an hour which includes the folding. Hope to get my dryer fixed but I love that it wasn't such a huge inconvenience to do laundry like this, it was my first time! read more

New location, more machines and clean. If you've been to a Love Laundry before you know they're relatively clean and offer a nice space to wash and fold your clothes. This location is a big upgrade to the K st location and offer tons of machines and free dryers. Washing is pricey but drying is free so long as you fill the dryers up halfway. BEWARE: I have been to this location a few times and let me just tell you, the loading soap situation is extremely unclear. On my previous visit I asked the employee for help when I started second guessing myself on where I put the soap, and she went as far as to tell me I put it in the wrong area and had me grab a paper towel and soak the soap up from the front and move it to the back. Then I just went there over the weekend and loaded 5 washers up at $7.25 a pop and put the soap in the area where the attendant working the previous time told me to put it. As I am watching the washer, I saw a lot of soap still in the washer and my time was almost done so I asked the manager what the deal was, and she told me I put the soap in the wrong area. I pulled up the instructions on the LED screen and it shows to put the soap in the back left which is what I did. She said that the one on the top says I put the soap where the softener goes. The LED and loading area contradict each other. I then asked the manager if she could give me a complimentary rinse cycle for my 5 washers because my clothes were loaded with soap and she was hella rude, said no and walked away. Then another worker who was nice walked by and I talked to her, and she even said she sees how it is confusing, but she is just an employee and can't give me a free rinse so I had to pay an additional $18 to rinse my stuff so I can get all the soap out of the clothes. I have tried to email the facility as well as call the number listed on a door there and no one has responded. I do not think this is fair at all and I want a refund for my $18 bucks. Wow this place is HUGE with plenty of washers and dryers a full snack back, seats, and WiFi. Pricey but it's ok. I wash my comforters here since my community laundry doesn't have washers big enough to fit comforters. Parking sucks. The parking area is small and narrow. You're lucky if you get a spot on the street in the front but you're most likely to walk. I like that it is huge. It's bigger than the K Street laundry place. A guy just hit my car with their door as I am writing this. It's how narrow the parking spots are here. Also, FEW free dryers. It's a pandemonium. read more

It's unfortunate that my apartment doesn't have a washer and dryer but Love Laundry provides a modern vibe while I am there. There is an also a mini market in the store and they sell snacks and laundry necessities incase you forget something at home! My only complaint is that it gets very busy so the laundry mat can be come quite messy with wet floors, hair balls and dryer sheets on the floor and the washing machines can be covered in detergent on top. I say get there early or arrive mid day when there's not a lot of people. In the morning, it is spotless. read more

This location is very clean, and the attendant is very nice. However, I have been to other locations that have more staff at a time which allows the drop off/pick up process to be much quicker. I'm assuming that they have vacancies and are having trouble hiring, because from what I can tell only one person works here at a time. Because of that she is balancing the drop off desk, cleaning the facility, answering questions from people using the machines, cleaning the bathroom, etc. which means the drop off counter is usually unattended. With that said while it is a clean facility I would not recommend this particular location for drop off/pick up if you're in a hurry. Again, nothing against the attendant that works here, I think she's doing the best she can by herself it just doesn't make for a very efficient process. read more

Love this place! Hate doing laundry though. But I usually go to the location on K Street. This one just opened up and...OMG!!! So much bigger! So many places to sit! The folding tables are huge as well! If you're still going to the location on K Street, I would reconsider. Maybe it's because nobody knows this location is open yet? But it's nice not having to fight over machines or have somebody steal your machine after you've been waiting for 30 minutes. Come here! They have places to sit and work (barstools against the window), lots of benches, tvs, and supposedly will be adding a snack bar in the near future. It's where the Rite-Aid used to be and there's a parking lot that's a decent size. If those spots aren't available, you may need to park on the street. Still, major upgrade from the previous location. They offer free dryers but there's a limited amount so you may need to wait if you want to dry for free. read more

I visited this place the second week they opened. It is a very big place, tons of washers and dryers (literally speaking). I love the fact that you really don't need to carry cash with you. You can use your debit/credit card to pay for your wash and dry on the spot. The other thing is they do offer free drying. Just look for the "free" sign on the dryers. The downside was a lady vaping so much inside the place close to other people and infants. Like I mentioned before it is a big place and I only saw one lady working there. Came to wash our wet stuff after participating in a race yesterday - super clean facility, and really friendly staff.

I always go to I Love Laundry on K Street, but I decided to go to the new location on S Street to wash both of my comforters because it's closer to my house. I loaded the larger comforter in a 6 load washer and the smaller one in the 4 load washer. I set my timer for 27 minutes and went to sit in my car. After my washer completed it's cycle I took advantage of the free dryers. I set my alarm for 12 minutes and went to sit in my car because it's quiet. It was a very busy day with kids yelling and riding the laundry carts all over the place. The laundry attendants didn't seem to mind. After my timer went off, I went in to reset the dryers for an additional 12 minutes. I decided to sit on the bench until the cycle was complete. When my timer went off, I got up to walk to the dryers to get my two comforters, and an attendant stopped me and asked if she could ask me a question. I assumed it was to ask if I worked at "my place of business" because I've been there for 15 years and its a well know place and I get asked that all the time or I thought she'd ask if my hair color was natural because I'm asked all the time. She asked me if I had washed my clothes there. I said yes, and she said ok. I walked to get my comforters and wondered why I was singled out. I do not look like a vagrant. I didn't see her ask anyone else using the dryers if they used the washers. I assumed she thought I brought in wet clothes to use the free dryer from home??? Maybe that's a thing there? It was very unprofessional and awkward. I have a washer and dryer at home, but I'll have to find another laundromat to wash my comforters and thick blankets. read more
