There might be other love loves out there, but this is the only one as far as I am concerned. A must try if looking for the spicy pork plate the others do not have on the menu. They do it right! This place can be on point until tonight. I am not sure of the young man who has " been there for 5 years". I asked him if I can add a side of teriyaki ribs, which I did on my last order. He said there is no such thing. But I can order the dinner for $15. When I arrived he stuck to his story and said I must have gotten it a different location. This is the only location I visit as it is down the street. There combination is only $9.95 so I am a little troubled with this. It might be a minute before is go back. Just FYI. read more

No need to go out of your way to come here. But if you live in the area, then you should consider this spot. I come here at least once a month. My kids like their orange chicken. I like their love salad. Their tempura prawn is massive. If you are a glutton like me, then you will order that and not let anyone else touch it. My wife likes the sweet potato tempura. So I let her have ONE. And only one. It usually includes a carrot, a regular potato, a broccoli floret, two onion rings, a mushroom, and three prawns. Comes with rice and a napa cabbage salad. In my less gluttonous days, I have the love salad. This has napa cabbage, chicken teriyaki. Their chicken teriyaki is available with many different things. Which is good since it's tasty. Lots of people do take out. I do. Sitting in their store means a subtle exposure to Contemporary Christian music. I don't mind it. I have been going to this location since moving here in August.... the food is always wonderfully consistent and good.... large portions...but the BEST part is the customer service. The young man that works the front is a jewel. He is always happy, nice and efficient. I am in customer service and i really am so impressed with him. He will even bring my food to my car. Our first time here and it did not disappoint. Food was tasty and plentiful. My hubby and I both had a lunch special (11-2pm). His was $1 more and included extra chicken and 4 yummy gyoza. Love love is in a great location and decently quick. But the online site is terrible. Half the time they don't answer the phones. We got some orange chicken and it was horrible. I wish I could get a refund. The little meat there was- was dry and rubbery but 95% breeding. So no actual meat. Real disappointment. We've found in the past that even when a mistake is made on their end it's difficult to get corrected or even acknowledged. The owners themselves seem to have lost their shine. The "BEST" Love Love Teriyaki is the one in Keizer. I found out the hard way. I tried the one on Liberty and their noodles tasted like they've been boiled not fried. I also tried other locations ,and they don't come close to the one in Keizer. Even the vegetable Tempura is delicious at the Keizer location. I found out each location is privately owned. I will drive a few miles more for great tasting teryaki. I'm from California and I miss my Happi House Teriyaki. Wow and Wow and WOW!! I was so surprised at how enormously humongous the lunch portion size was! I got the spicy chicken and goyza plate and ate it ALL! I thought I was going to explode - next time I find someone to share that with me or take half back and save for lunch the next day. The sauce on the chicken was great and the chicken was moist and tender. The goyza was nice and crispy on the outside - not oily at all. It came with a scoop of rice and a simply dressed salad. Good solid teriyaki dishes. I had the ribs which were nice and tasty. I loved the cabbage/ green onion/ raw ramen crunchies/ sesame dressing salad stir fry. So delicious! And a perfect way to cook cabbage too. The rice had a great sticky texture, perfect for dipping in teriyaki sauce. BD enjoyed his chicken, also. The side of gyozas were nicely crisped all around, yummy. All together, my rib meal (with rice and cabbage), a side of gyozas, BD's chicken bowl (rice, miso soup, cabbage), and two drinks came out to be around $25. Finally got to go to Love Love today with the crew from work. I've been ogling this chain since we got to Salem, but my husband has been hesitant to go (a former resident of Nagoya, he is suspicious of American Teriyaki). Luckily, my co-workers are not Japanese food elitists. I had the lunch special spicy chicken and gyoza. The chicken had just a nice flavorful kind of hotness (as opposed to an intense burn that covers up the taste of the food and forces you to drown every bite in ice water). The gyoza was good, but not outstanding. I make potstickers at home and prefer them fried on only one side. I think LLT deep-fries theirs. Anyway, they were uniformly crispy all the way around and just a little bland compared to the flavor powerhouses of the chicken and the salad. Oh, did I not mention the salad? Cabbage, crispy noodles, green onion and sesame dressing. Super yummy. I can absolutely see this place becoming a lunch habit for me. The service was good. It is an order-at-the-counter place where they bring out the food (quickly). Even though we were there in the middle of the lunch rush, the place was clean and efficient. Very Japanese! read more

I really enjoy the food. Some of the best Teriyaki I have had. What I don't enjoy is the Christian misinformation on the wall. Or the "Convert you to Jesus." music. Christianity is based on Pagan ways, Christmas is Yule..the Celebration of the Pagan Sun-God Mithra, Halloween is Samhain..and is about respecting the croaked and rebirth (reincarnation). It's supposed to be a time of reflection of those we knew, and those reincarnating..it doesn't have anything to do with "scary" events and Demons. Easter is another Pagan tradition, so the information that Christians Live is Pagan, and taken from the Hebrew Bible, of the Elohim.. Which means God and Goddess...not monotheistic (Singular). What I have enjoyed is when I've asked for the horrible Convert to Jesus music to be lowered, it's been complied with. I don't agree that it's okay to have Christian misinformation be so public. If you want to warship poor information, do so in private - not in a Business serving the masses unless that IS the intent, and that's a Church. Personally, I think we need more Pagan, Agnostic, and Buddha stuff around town, give some balance!! By the way, the "Lord" in the Bible is Enki and Enlil. This is 10,000 year old plus actual history. I'm not sure why all these reviewed are 5 star. Over cooked frozen shrimp with no taste. Over cooked spicy chicken with no spicy - even the side of spicy sauce they brought out had ketchup flavor!! Everything was too salty. I'll keep looking for good teriyaki. read more
