Anytime we are in town we have to hit up Love love. Everyone is so nice. Last time there were tables outside to sit at, those are now gone so you will need to sit inside if you aren't doing takeout. I have eaten in two of their locations, Lancaster and liberty locations. They are both super good, I prefer the liberty. I think the staff was a little friendlier there but they probably work at both stores so it might just be when you get there. Everything I ordered there is pretty good, The udon noodles were a little mushy. Make sure you eat them dine in only cause if you take them to go, they kind of steam in with the vegetable juice get a little mushy. Otherwise, this place is the bomb there chili chicken/teriyaki chicken is a lot like bourbon chicken of the All variety, which we all happen to love except they put a really good char on the chicken, which gives it way better Quality. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Salem! I usually get the hot chicken, which is charbroiled with a hot sauce cooked on it, and a salad I love, and I request brown rice. Everything has always been really good - the employees are nice and efficient. The prices have gone up in the last year, but are still competitive compared to other establishments at this point. I stopped by here after work around 4pm on a Saturday. It wasn't busy at all. I was greeted very quickly, and the person taking my order was super personable. I ordered the gyoza and teriyaki chicken combo to go. My food came out super fast, and during the drive home the food stayed pretty warm. They give you a lot of food! I had a sizable portion of white rice, five gyoza, a side salad and a ton of teriyaki chicken! Along with two little cups of sauce and an orange slice. The sauce was good, a bit salty, but delicious on the rice and the chicken. The gyoza were delectable. Chewy, yet crispy texture and yummy filling. The chicken was great. Rich and sweet/savory, and with a little smoky char; it was awesome. The salad had great flavor, the lettuce was a little wilted, but that might have been from the dressing and/or being in the container with all the other hot items. The orange slice seems to be a tradition at places like this, and complimented the meal nicely. Again, the portions were huge, the chicken alone could make up another meal. This place is friendly, fast, delicious, and comforting; just the thing for the end of a long work week. I'll be back! read more

Excellent! First timers and we ordered take-out. Dining area looked to be ample with plenty of seating. We both had the spicy vegetables with chicken. It comes with rice but we ordered it with the fried rice. It was Excellent! We split an order of egg rolls. They were also great. Large portions made this an even better experience. Our Ichiban place for good Teriyaki and Japanese Noodles for decades, Love Love never changes, their menu has plenty of good choices, and so far, having tried almost everything over the years, it just keeps me coming back time after time. There might be other love loves out there, but this is the only one as far as I am concerned. A must try if looking for the spicy pork plate the others do not have on the menu. They do it right! The food is good enough, portions are generous and service is pretty quick as well as friendly. Prices have gone way up, which is pretty much the case everywhere, I realize. But be warned that if you eat in, you will be subjected to nonstop Christian propaganda radio. It doesn't feel welcoming to those whose world view is different. read more

This place can be on point until tonight. I am not sure of the young man who has " been there for 5 years". I asked him if I can add a side of teriyaki ribs, which I did on my last order. He said there is no such thing. But I can order the dinner for $15. When I arrived he stuck to his story and said I must have gotten it a different location. This is the only location I visit as it is down the street. There combination is only $9.95 so I am a little troubled with this. It might be a minute before is go back. Just FYI. read more

No need to go out of your way to come here. But if you live in the area, then you should consider this spot. I come here at least once a month. My kids like their orange chicken. I like their love salad. Their tempura prawn is massive. If you are a glutton like me, then you will order that and not let anyone else touch it. My wife likes the sweet potato tempura. So I let her have ONE. And only one. It usually includes a carrot, a regular potato, a broccoli floret, two onion rings, a mushroom, and three prawns. Comes with rice and a napa cabbage salad. In my less gluttonous days, I have the love salad. This has napa cabbage, chicken teriyaki. Their chicken teriyaki is available with many different things. Which is good since it's tasty. Lots of people do take out. I do. Sitting in their store means a subtle exposure to Contemporary Christian music. I don't mind it. Love love is in a great location and decently quick. But the online site is terrible. Half the time they don't answer the phones. We got some orange chicken and it was horrible. I wish I could get a refund. The little meat there was- was dry and rubbery but 95% breeding. So no actual meat. Real disappointment. We've found in the past that even when a mistake is made on their end it's difficult to get corrected or even acknowledged. The owners themselves seem to have lost their shine. Wow and Wow and WOW!! I was so surprised at how enormously humongous the lunch portion size was! I got the spicy chicken and goyza plate and ate it ALL! I thought I was going to explode - next time I find someone to share that with me or take half back and save for lunch the next day. The sauce on the chicken was great and the chicken was moist and tender. The goyza was nice and crispy on the outside - not oily at all. It came with a scoop of rice and a simply dressed salad. Good solid teriyaki dishes. I had the ribs which were nice and tasty. I loved the cabbage/ green onion/ raw ramen crunchies/ sesame dressing salad stir fry. So delicious! And a perfect way to cook cabbage too. The rice had a great sticky texture, perfect for dipping in teriyaki sauce. BD enjoyed his chicken, also. The side of gyozas were nicely crisped all around, yummy. All together, my rib meal (with rice and cabbage), a side of gyozas, BD's chicken bowl (rice, miso soup, cabbage), and two drinks came out to be around $25. Finally got to go to Love Love today with the crew from work. I've been ogling this chain since we got to Salem, but my husband has been hesitant to go (a former resident of Nagoya, he is suspicious of American Teriyaki). Luckily, my co-workers are not Japanese food elitists. I had the lunch special spicy chicken and gyoza. The chicken had just a nice flavorful kind of hotness (as opposed to an intense burn that covers up the taste of the food and forces you to drown every bite in ice water). The gyoza was good, but not outstanding. I make potstickers at home and prefer them fried on only one side. I think LLT deep-fries theirs. Anyway, they were uniformly crispy all the way around and just a little bland compared to the flavor powerhouses of the chicken and the salad. Oh, did I not mention the salad? Cabbage, crispy noodles, green onion and sesame dressing. Super yummy. I can absolutely see this place becoming a lunch habit for me. The service was good. It is an order-at-the-counter place where they bring out the food (quickly). Even though we were there in the middle of the lunch rush, the place was clean and efficient. Very Japanese! read more

The "BEST" Love Love Teriyaki is the one in Keizer. I found out the hard way. I tried the one on Liberty and their noodles tasted like they've been boiled not fried. I also tried other locations ,and they don't come close to the one in Keizer. Even the vegetable Tempura is delicious at the Keizer location. I found out each location is privately owned. I will drive a few miles more for great tasting teryaki. I'm from California and I miss my Happi House Teriyaki.
